Okay. This won’t be your typical new patient review for a couple of reasons. First, I am Dr. Evans’ dad. Second, I am a dentist. I practiced in California from 1981 until I retired last year. I just traveled from out of state to Laveen to have my new-patient exam and cleaning by Dr. Evans at Laveen Smiles. Wow! Laveen is blessed to have Laveen Smiles. The facility is new, clean, bright and high-tech. Dr. Evans has equipped the entire office with latest dental technology. As soon as you enter, you’ll appreciate the tasteful decor, large screen TVs, multiple monitors, and glass accents. The smiling face at the reception desk greets you by name and prepares you for your unique dental experience. You won’t have much time to appreciate the reception area, as you’ll likely be whisked to the treatment room set up specifically for you. There you will experience probably the most thorough dental exam you likely have ever had. Two and three dimensional x-rays are combined with digital images of every tooth and a thorough visual exam giving Dr. Evans the information he needs to determine the best treatment to suit your needs. You choose what you want to watch on the multiple monitors in the room, how you want the chair positioned, and if you want a blanket (the air conditioning works great). The staff continually check on your well being. His hygienist gathers more information then expertly and delicately cleans your teeth. When complete, Dr. Evans evaluates you and discusses treatment possibilities with you. I had an inlay performed. No more goopy impressions and multiple appointments. The tooth was digitally scanned and the restoration was digitally milled then delivered the same day. Dr. Evans has all the best equipment. Now, let’s discuss what matters most to dental patients (and retired dentists in need of dental care). Dr. Evans delivered a great shot. I couldn’t feel it at all, and the anesthesia was total and lasted until the procedure was complete. Next, think about all that goes on in that tiny mouth of yours. Treatment needs to be delicate and precise. Dr. Evans has small hands! You have no idea what a benefit that is for you! You’ll appreciate the difference. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Dr. Evans had great training, has the best equipment and technology, a superb facility, and a staff dedicated to making your dental experience exceptional. Laveen is lucky indeed. Give Laveen Smiles a try if you want an exceptional dental office for your dental needs. You’ll be glad you did.

Such a good experience! I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. I'm generally very nervous about going to see the dentist and try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, I had a filling fall out over the weekend and since I've recently moved to the area it was not reasonable to go to my previous dentist and I needed to find a new one closer to home. I called a few other places in the area and none would be able to see me for over a week minimum. I was getting discouraged plus my teeth hurt. When I called Laveen Smiles they were SUPER nice and were actually able to squeeze me in that day to take a look. When I arrived the office was super clean and literally every single person on staff there was incredibly nice to me! No one tried to rush through anything and each of the ladies explained to me what they were doing every step of the way. It turns out I had several other large cavities I needed to have filled in addition to the one where the filling fell out. (I did know about the cavities before I arrived but I had been putting off dealing with them. Totally my fault!) They went over my treatment plan with me on the big screen in the room, in great detail to make sure I understood everything that was to happen and each line item had the cost associated with it in bold font so it was very clear what my cost would be. I loved this! Since I needed so much work they were not able to do it all right that second as they had some other appointments already scheduled. BUT they did have a cancellation for that day and told me to come back in 2 hours and they could do everything for me then. (I live 5 minutes away so it was not an issue at all for me to do this.) When I came back 2 hours later they set me up in a nice room and gave me the remote to the TV hung on the ceiling so I could watch a movie while they did all the work. They used plenty of numbing stuff and were exceptionally gently with me and talked to me in a way that was very soothing and made me feel at ease. Even though I needed quite a bit of work it was really just the most pleasant experience possible. The people there are some of the best medical office staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! I will for sure be going back for any dental needs I have in the future and recommend this office to anyone else who might need dental work. Especially anyone who like me is afraid of the dentist. This is the place to go! Thank you guys!

Can’t say enough great things about Laveen Smiles. The staff and the Dr. were terrific. They were kind, professional and thorough. I’m a new patient and was seen for emergency care immediately and with no fuss. Everyone made me feel at ease, from the receptionist, the dental assistant, the hygienist, the billing associate to Dr. Evans. Everything is transparent- there are screens set up so that you can view everything related to your care. Loved that the X-ray machine was comfortable- no huge plastic things shoved into your mouth- and you can view the images immediately. The billing and prices aren’t hidden, they’re shared on the same large screen as the dental images. The office and stations were clean. When the procedure is being performed, you’re able to watch a large screen TV attached to the ceiling. It’s a thoughtful gesture since it made the procedure feel less stressful, focused your mind elsewhere and made time slip by. Dr. Evans was thorough and discussed options for care as well as billing. He also discussed himself and created a two way conversation that made me feel comfortable. I never got the sense that he was out to nickle and dime you. The conversation regarding care and billing was very low key and never pushy. I have a huge issue with my teeth not numbing and was incredibly nervous due to prior experiences. Dr. Evans took this into consideration and whatever he gave me numbed me thoroughly. He and his assistant also ensured that I was comfortable throughout. He’d built enough trust with me that I knew he would stop if I were uncomfortable, but thankfully I never felt any pain. As a new patient, this is the type of experience you hope to receive but rarely get. The procedure itself bled into the Dr.’s lunch but he and his assistant were gracious and thorough. This is probably my longest review ever...as I initially said, I can’t say enough about Laveen Smiles and the terrific folks in this practice. No other dental practice has made me feel this comfortable and -happy? For someone who never felt the desire to have a continuous dental relationship with any practice, I surprised myself by saying that we can do the small stuff 5 years down the road. The Dr. didn’t bat an eye and agreed to work on the most pressing matters for this year and the next. I’m more surprised than anyone that I’m actually looking forward to fixing my teeth. Even if I moved out of Laveen, I would make the trip out to Laveen Smiles.

I’m not one to leave many reviews unless the service is absolutely AMAZING. If you’re looking for a dentist, please look no further. It was extremely easy to book online as a new patient. From the moment I walked into the office, the staff was very pleasant and friendly and happily walked me through the entire process. Time management and attention to detail are seriously priorities at this office. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30am. I was called to the back for my X-rays by 10:31am. Not kidding. When I sat down in the extremely clean exam room, I was amazed by the flat screen televisions physically showing me photos and video footage of each of my teeth and how well Dr. Evans and the staff thoroughly explained the details of my dental health. My dental assistant was absolutely awesome as she assisted with my X-rays and procedure. Her conversation was great and she made me feel so comfortable! Next, my dental hygienist took time to clean my teeth and explained how each tooth rated on the chart and which teeth I needed to pay more attention to in order to better my dental health. She was extremely honest with me and gave me great recommendations! And to top off the entire experience? Dr. Evans happily gave me dental product recommendations, the “do’s and don’t’s” when it comes to eating certain foods/drinks, answered every single question I had and you want to know what I appreciated the most? He was VERY honest. If there isn’t a problem area with your teeth, he won’t find one just to charge you. Not only did Dr. Evans explain step by step what I needed done, but he also showed me via the screens WHY I needed it done! My check-in, X-ray, cleaning, and exam were finished in one hour (of course with Pandora music playing in the background for extra comfort!) But here’s the sweet part.. I needed a couple fillings done thinking I’d be asked to come back into the office at a later date to schedule it… Dr. Evans told me I’d get them done the SAME day. I was immediately moved to the next room after my cleaning to set up for my fillings. I laid down in the chair and watched a movie while Dr. Evans placed my fillings! No pain at all. My full service was completed by 12:30pm. I’ve never been to a dental office that delivers this type of customer service. I’ll happily see you again in 6 months! Thank you guys so much!

I’m what is known in Arizona as a “snowbird”. I’ve lived my whole life in North Dakota, but have grown weary of long, cold winters there. My wife and I now have a home in Laveen, which we’ve owned since 2012. We retired in 2021 and are in our third full winter here. My regular dentist is in ND, but a tooth I knew probably needed to come out started hurting me here in AZ before Christmas. I knew it couldn’t wait until going back north, so I needed a recommendation for a top-notch dentist who could deal with the tooth. I did what we always do whenever we need opinions of any kind: we put out an inquiry on the Laveen News Facebook page. Responses were quick, and there were several enthusiastic recommendations for Dr. Evans at Laveen Smiles, only a mile away from us. I went the next day to schedule an appointment, and was greeted by a friendly receptionist whose family lives in North Dakota! She apologized and told me Dr. Evans was out until after the holidays. Then gave me printed information of other places I could call if I needed help right away. I told her I’d heard so many good things about Laveen Smiles that I’d rather wait for Dr. Evans. I scheduled an appointment for early January and got through the holidays by being careful and taking lots of Advil! Yesterday I went for my appointment. After numerous X-rays taken by a very courteous dental assistant I saw Dr. Evans. I found out that he is the only private practice dentist in Laveen, and he thanked me for choosing his office. I told him about the problem with my tooth. He examined me and agreed that it had to come out. I asked if I needed to come back another day, but he said he could take care of it then. So 10-15 minutes later I was numbed up and about 5 minutes after that, the tooth was gone! I felt no pain the entire visit and was soon on my way (within an hour after I walked in!) The frosting in the cake was he only charged me for a tooth extraction; the “new patient” exam fee and X-rays were included. It was a very reasonable fee and I was pleased. Dr. Evans and Laveen Smiles were everything I was told by the folks in Laveen, and I highly recommend them.

After a very long absence from going to the dentist after a bad experience with a chain dental practice, I decided to make an appointment with Laveen Smiles. Cleanliness and a close, privately owned practice was so important to me. I am so happy with my decision! Dr. Evans was so friendly and thorough, explained everything clearly, and SHOWED me on the monitor what issues I had with my teeth. He explained the work I needed to get me back to better oral health. Throughout my appointments, he was attentive, worked efficiently and quickly, and made it as painless and comfortable as possible. I cannot recommend him and Laveen Smiles enough. His staff are all excellent, friendly, and care about each patient's needs. It has been the best experience to put my fears to rest, and I feel confident that Laveen Smiles will take great care of not just my dentistry, but our entire family's dental needs. Dr. Evans is an asset to Laveen, and I am so excited to have a great dental practice in our community.

The experience both my husband and I had with Dr. Evans and his staff was exceptional. He made us feel at ease while discussing our dental plan with both of us and was in absolutely no hurry to leave. The patience, knowledge, and non-judgmental attitude that Dr. Evans has is exactly what we were looking for. I was worried that the language barrier was going to be an issue with my husband but again Dr. Evans surprised us. Having a dentist who is local and knows the community he serves is admirable. Now the staff: super friendly and willing to help! From the front office to the dental hygienists and assistants: amazing! I was in awe with the team dynamic they displayed. Everyone seemed to flow together and were always helping each other out when needed. It's very rare to see and find that type of dynamic in a medical office, at least in my experience. Aside from our health care providers, my wife and I make it a point to frequent and support locally owned Laveen establishments. We love our community and feel that not only is it convenient, but it is also an excellent way to support and help sustain our community. Especially during these tough times. Yesterday afternoon, I had a routine appointment at Laveen Smiles. Their office is clean, calming, and very welcoming. I met Erica the receptionist, Rene the dental hygienists and Dr. Evans the Dentist. And a very professional assistant who took a series of x-rays. The staff is incredibly professional and supportive; on-time with nice reminders through texts. I have a thing for consistency. They use state-of-the-art technology, answering questions as they go, maintaining an excellent bedside manner. This review comes with the highest regard for a fantastic practice!

Laveen Smiles is by far the best dentistry practice I’ve been to in the valley (I’ve lived here for 10 years). I’m new to the Laveen area and needed a local dentist. I came across Laveen Smiles while searching online. The 5 star reviews speak for themselves. The facility is clean, modern and welcoming. The ergonomic chairs are the most comfortable I’ve sat/laid on. There are monitors/screens next to you and on the ceiling, allowing you to see what Dr. Evans and his assistants are seeing, with the option to watch TV. The entire staff is professional, friendly and extremely well-mannered. Dr. Evans promptly sat with me during my cleaning, introduced himself and welcomed me. His is very personable and approachable. No questions are off the table. I’m beyond happy I found this place and will continue to come here for all my dental needs. Thank you Dr. Evans!!

I finally found a dentist! Dr. Mark Evans at Laveen Smiles took such good care of me at my visit. His professional staff informed of costs, most were covered by my low dental plan. The office has so much technology, you are able to see everything in your mouth on a screen comfortably with a detailed description by the provider. In the past I have been made to get costly procedures without fully understanding the reasons just to be able to get a deep cleaning. I never really felt trust for those providers. Dr. Evans was highly informed, professional, personable and has an interest in helping the community. I’m so glad to have found Laveen Smiles and don’t have to dread going to the dentist anymore.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mark Evans for two years and I've had nothing but the best experiences there. Dr. Evans has a calming presence about him that puts those of us who get anxious at dental apts at ease because he listens to your questions and concerns. The staff Jasmine, Renee and Dr. Evans were courteous, professional, personable and made me very comfortable throughout my visit. I was given a thorough exam and given options about my treatment. I'm 39 and have only had one positive experience with a dentist, then I walked into Laveen Smiles. This is the third dentist I have tried since moving to Phoenix in 2017. Dr. Evans was kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. His main concern during the entire session was my comfort level. His staff are beyond great and Renee (Spelling?) is a God send. I can't even imagine how great my teeth would have looked if I had him since the beginning. Please do yourself a favor and just walk in the office. You'll see exactly what I'm saying. The Dentist, Mark Evans was welcoming, humble, and thankful to have new customers. Xrays were a breeze w/ Evelyn due to her good disposition & the updated technology. The office was very clean, safe, and inviting. My Fibromyalgia makes cleanings painful, but yet Juan was so gentle I was snoring during the cleaning and left without pain! Even the receptionist Yvette was thorough and full of kind personality. Rare to find an establishment with greatness on all levels.

I love Laveen Smiles. Dr Evans and his staffs are so friendly and they make you feel so comfortable. I went in to get my teeth cleaned today and they did a fantastic job. Dr Evans was so honest about what needed to be done with my teeth and he did not make me do unnecessary procedures. The technologies and the tools that they use at the office are all brand new state of the art technologies. The office is so clean and beautiful. They tell you up front what the costs of each procedures are so you will not be surprised, I like that a lot. I had a very good experience today, I highly recommend them.

When you live in a growing area, it's not always as easy to find quality medical care. I was in need of a new dentist and googled my zip code and crossed my fingers. It must have worked as I found Laveen Smiles with Dr. Evans and staff. After the insurance verification, I was immediately run through some screening tests and almost just as quickly, the dentist himself went over everything with me. Today was my initial appointment with Dr. Evans and I am so pleased with my experience. I have already called family to make their appointments! Every staff member I had contact with was professional and so kind. Dr. Evans is very personable and explains everything he is doing and why he is suggesting the treatment plan for you. He doesn’t try and make you in some in for several appointments, they try and do the work all in one day. The billing is explained and fair. I’m so excited that I believe I have found my forever dentist!

Just had my first appointment and all I can say is OUTSTANDING! Going to the dentist is never fun (sorry Dr. Evans) but my gosh does this entire office make it less dreadful. The hygienist Renee was so helpful, education and overall very kind. She was educating me on things none my previous dentist had told me. Dr. Evans walked in and immediately made me feel welcome, heard and overall cared for. Already recommended to my entire neighborhood. 10/10

This was hands down one of the best dentist office that I’ve been to ever!!!! After several bad experiences with dentist, I’ve avoided going for several years and was extremely anxious about my upcoming appointment due to the amount of work that I needed to have done. At every step of the way everyone in office was extremely warm and welcoming throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Laveen Smiles enough, they are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

Finally, a community, home-town, dentist with state-of-the-art digital dentistry - which means he can practically do it all. While he is investigating your mouth, he uses a camera and he can see real-time what he describing on the TV mounted on the ceiling. He has another TV on which you can view your x-rays. Amazing staff. So welcoming. He's just off baseline on 51st in a nice medical building. Loved this pic of my big smile, lol!!

I took my six year old in for a second opinion on a procedure, Dr. Evans was able to provide me with a professional and truthful opinion so that I could decide what was best for my child. The office was very well equipped and clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. I have had some really bad experiences at other dentist offices which has caused me to have extreme anxiety when I have to go. After seeing Dr Evans and his staff I have no fears of going to the dentist. He helped me calm down and was very considerate of my anxiety. He was great. I highly recommend this dentist office.
