A very warm and friendly experience. At first point of contact, Kerry at reception went above and beyond to secure me an emergency appointment as I was unable to eat. I was able to see a dentist within 24 hours, my dentist Miss Patel was of absolute quality, professionalism and first class customer service. My teeth was in a bad state but with the correct advise and subsequent treatment within just a few months I am able to eat, drink and smile with confidence. Miss Patel's assistant Miss Lauren was incredibly careful, understanding and transparent... for myself I always have many questions to ask everyone I come into contact with regarding my health, yet as a trainee Miss Lauren answered all my questions with integrity, completeness and empathy. I would like to also mention the reception team Miss Shani and Miss Charmaine who have been very professional, friendly and discrete with my treatment. I honestly had the opportunity to go to a local dentist to my residence but decided to pay an extra £400.00 because of the impression and imagine of Lewisham dental practice. I look forward to seeing the dentist in the next 6-9 months for a routine check up. This is a really inconsiderate Dental Practice, especially their hygienist. My booked appointment was 30mins and I was late for 15mins. The least the hygienist could do is see me since I already paid for the 30minute session. The hygienist could just offer a quick assessment and just provide advice within that 15minute session. I would understand that he wouldn’t do anymore cleaning as there may not be enough time. Instead, the appointment was just cancelled without any concern or understanding for the patient’s circumstance as it is “their policy”. I’m disappointed by their lack of customer service. There were no options proposed in relation to rebooking or possibly getting accommodated, within the day if there are last minute cancellations. They could even offer an additional fee as a result of the delay, which I wouldn’t have mind paying. It’s just disappointing that If a patient was delayed being seen by 15-20 minutes as a result of a delay caused by the hygienist, patients get a refund for their wasted time. But why is it that the hygienist is so inconsiderate when the patient is delayed? I don’t think this service cares enough for it’s patients so I’m opting never to come back to this Dental Practice again.

I have been with this dentist for more than 5 years and the treatment I received at my last appointment was absolutely shocking and upsetting. Stay away from this dentist, I had a awful experience I could have cried because of how the dentist Vanisha Patel spoke to me during my emergency appointment, I had travelled an hour to get there only to have been turned back. I had found out from this particular dentist that Kas (her collegue) had got my crown made wrong 2 years ago, and it had come out 5 times since which made me very upset as finding childcare was hard enough for me to constantly be travelling this far however Vanisha's attitude towards this was absolutely horrendous, she had no sympathy no apology and made out that I was in the wrong. The way she spoke to me was horrible, If there was a camera this could have been watched and been in my favour as I will get this escalated and taken further because no one deserves to be treated the way I did. I will be writing an email to the manager in detail about this incident that took place

I was not impressed with the dentist. I wanted treatment for a filling that had come loose. She did not know what treatment to carry out. Kept asking me what I thought she should do. I actually wanted her expert opinion. In the end I did not receive any treatment at all. Only an X-ray was carried out. Sge then told me to make another appointment at reception. I then asked if should would treat me whilst I was there. Her reply was she could only remove the filling but could not give anymore treatment at this appointment. I refused as I didn’t like the thought of having less cover to my cavity than I arrived with. I then went to reception who said she had put a charge on my account for treatment she had not carried out. The receptionist kindly went up to the said dentist to address this after calling twice by phone with no success. I was then told the charge was a mistake. After well over a decade of using this practice I will definitely not be returning as the service has now become unacceptable.

I have been a patient there for years. The past year it is impossible to see a dentist. Way pre-covid it was so difficult to book a routine check for me and my kids outside school hours as they had no appointments available. Now I have toothache since last week and I need dental care. I have been calling them every morning at 09:00 since last Saturday for an emergency appointment and they consistently have none available. Yesterday when I tried to ask the receptionist what I can expect in terms of an appointment she told me if I want to be booked in for October. Today I was told they only had one urgent appointment and to not call tomorrow as they have none. They clearly fail their patients by not been able to provide dental care when needed. Delaying treatment only worsens teeth decay and they leave their patients in pain because they are either over subscribed or understaffed or both, and this is clearly a failure of management. Im looking elsewhere of course.

Update 12/3/22 Since my last review, I have gone back for a second opinion and Dr Patel has been truly amazing and really focused on trying to save my tooth. Patient in her explanation, professional and very sympathetic. Thank you. Not an NHS service. I went as an NHS patient and after a brief check up I was given two options for my treatment, and both private. Doctor also listed the prices ranging from £50/90 for consultation to £700+/1.5k to replace a broken crown. The day before I was seen for my emergency appointment by a lovely Dr Patel and she was very positive about tooth being salvageable and kindly provided with a temporary solution. I am awaiting another appointment with Dr Patel to ask for a second opinion. So far, this dental practice strikes me as more of a business than health care provider. Receptionist are lovely and helpful in finding suitable appointments.

As always, I left my phone on record at the dentist, which is perfectly legal and I would advise you all to do. And at the end of my very rude appointment, dentist Patel clearly asks me if I want to book a referral to have a wosodom tooth pulled, to which I said yes, yet she cancelled the appointment after I left. Possibly as I come across a little rude, being autistic. When I spoke to her manager a week later about this, the manager said there was some ambiguity in what I had said, and when I mentioned I have it on recording, she even accused me of intimidating her. (In the small room she locked up in, refusing me the right to witnesses.) This practice is full of spiteful, lying and soon to be reported for intententially trying to cause harm staff, I would strongly advise going elsewhere.

I have recently registered with this practice based on their reviews online and can definitely say that they live up to the expectations. My email inquiries were answered within 24 hours and the reception staff at the practice were always professional and helpful. The dentist and hygienist took time to listen to me first and provided me relevant advice, including the treatment options and cost. I also like that they give an option to book a check-up or hygienist appointment online and that there is lots of information about what services they provide and how much it costs on their website. The only thing that slightly irked me was I was sent one too many appointment reminders via email, but it's not a big deal.

Always been clean, polite and friendly. Been going for a while now but my most recent appointment was supposed to be way back in April but was cancelled 3 or 4 times by them, I am pretty sure I paid for the appointment on the appointment before hand.. Which I did confirm with them on email.. Anyway they never apologised for cancelling so many appointments which meant a delay from April to October, and they insisted I pay for it again. RESPONSE TO LDP's RESPONSE: I appreciate the apology, although feel that a refund for paying twice may have been a more fair gesture. I have not had any contact from your manager, so I do not see how your manager has resolved this with me directly.

I recently attended this dental surgery for dental service and was very dissapointed with the services. I ended up in A&E hospital and king dental hospital on new years eve and was seen to after making 111 call at the lower Sydenham dental clinic where the dentist has done and excellent job of released me from pain new years day. I believe that this dentist took the time and effort to do his job. I can't say the same for the dental practice which is conducting survey. I wish that the persons envolve servicing me take time and consideration for their patients. Iam very dissapointed and dissatisfied with the last dental treatment at this institute.

Lewisham dental practice is as good as the practitioner you are lucky to have . Initially I’ve started my treatment with them several years back with a different dentist lady that I was not happy with …. Constant battle of opinion and struggling to get my point across when it came to what I would like done etc I was lucky enough one day to ask for a change of doctor and I came across dr Nishma , who is the most perfectionist , caring and professional dentist i have ever met ! She is one amazing dentist lady ! Please Lewisham dental make sure you do everything you can to keep this young lady in your practice !

Dr Dar and her nurse were wonderful. It is so nice to have a dentist who is calm, listens and takes time to keep you up to date. I was impressed that the nurse who worked with her was kind, smiley and recognised my anxiety. She was just so kind and compassionate. Dr Dar worked smoothly to complete 3 fillings and a sealant treatment for me and after 2yrs away it was nice that she explained everything and listened when I needed extra anaesthetic. My only complaint is that when I asked for a receipt it wasn't itemised as I do feel it should be automatic when you have a variety of treatments.

The location is very convenient. The waiting time was minimal (I arrived there just in time for my appointment and I only waited for maybe 1 minute?). Even if I had to wait, I do not mind as there are plenty of educational posters in the clinic and magazines as well as TV to keep you occupied. The receptionists were friendly and efficient. The dentist, Dr Patel, was very friendly and thorough with the checkup. She made sure I understand my dental health and was very helpful in explaining my queries. A very happy visit to the dentist for me.

I had far from the best experience at that place, and as I received an email inviting me to write a review, here it is. On arrival at my appointment time, reception sent me to the top floor, where the only people I could find were handymen doing some repairs and blocking the way with a ladder. Without any notice, I had to wait for half an hour to finally see someone. The practitioner then gave me an x-ray scan, but was unable to communicate me the results because of "computer problems". I feel like this was a waste of time and money.

I don't normally leave reviews, but felt the need to after being seen today. Excellent service, dentists I've seen here are always professional and make me feel at ease. Today was exceptional as I was extremely anxious due to an emergency failed extraction at another practise during the pandemic. Dr J Wilson made me feel relaxed & at ease, took his time with the procedure and got my tooth out in no time. Calming music played whilst he talked me through the procedure. I couldn't ask to go to a better dental practise. Thank you.

Lovely dental practice. There is a really nice feel to it. All staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. Waiting room is pleasant and calming. The dentist I am seeing is excellent, always explaining everything very clearly and in detail and talking me through my options. Very genuine and professional. And my new crown couldn’t fit better. It feels like my own tooth already. I really dread going to the dentist, but can't admit anything else than that this is a really nice dental practice.

Dr Anira is a phenomenal dentist! I really appreciate that she was attentive, thorough and really listened to my concerns as a nervous patient. She took her time to explain each step of the treatment plan and ensured I was comfortable and relaxed during my tooth extraction. In my experience, previous dentists elsewhere don't provide sufficient time for numbing to take effect before rushing to insert needles. Dr Anira was patient and caring throughout. What I liked most was the personal attention I received, the receptionist was extremely friendly, polite and genuine. My dentist is extremely knowledgeable and personable, he has a holistic approach which I appreciate because the health of your teeth is of course a life style thing too. I was also very impressed by the care he took to listen to my concerns and questions so that he could answer them fully. I have already started recommending the practice to my friends.

I feel lucky to still have an NHS dental practice and the Lewisham Dental Practice is excellent. The receptionists as of July 2022 are outstanding. Their efficiency and politeness should be commended. They made my visit much less stressful than in the old days. My dentist, Dr. Dar is highly professional but also sensitive to my fears about being there at all. She aways recommends whatever treatment she deams necessary but never suggests more than is needed.

I've only ever had positive experiences with this practise. My dentist, Carly Billing, was incredibly kind, professional and patient, and offered a stellar service. She did everything possible to make me feel comfortable - just like all the other staff at LDP, such as the receptionists who are so sweet and accommodating. It's lovely to have a practise like this to attend, especially in this difficult time. I would fully recommend, as would my family.

I can't recommend the service enough. I am a new client here and I have had very positive experiences so far. I am very happy with Dr. Patel. I was incredibly anxious to start with, and she put me at ease straight away. She is extremely good at her job, gives really good advice and is very gentle and understanding. All other staff I have encountered have also been very friendly. Overall I am very pleased to be a patient with this clinic.

My appointment was with the Hygienist. She remembered me from my previous visit and greeted me warmly. She asked how had I been since my last visit. Then she asked me how well was I managing my hygiene care. After which she explained what she was going to do and asked if I had any questions (as she always does). At every step and afterwords gave advice on how to maintain my gum health. She was warm, kind and professional as always.

The best dental practice I have used by far. I have seen two dentists since I registered - Dr Fries and Dr Odele - and both have been extremely kind, gentle and helpful. I used to suffer from needle phobia, but my current dentist, Dr Odele, is excellent at injections, making the invasive deep cleaning I have had pretty much painless. I only wish I’d known about this practice earlier and I might now be far happier with my teeth.

The staff are absolutely lovely but their system sucks I missed my appointment on three different occasions due to work and to their conclusion of that was to archive my files and block me from making any further appointments so on that note no worries I just take my money elsewhere cos I already pay for my dentistry and it's not actually my loss cos I gain investment of my health anyway

My crown came off on Friday,I tried for 2 days to get an emergency appointment,which I did get one on Tuesday.I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time.The Dentist lady was really nice,calm and quick.It only took 10 minutes for my crown to be re-cemented.I would recommend this Dentist surgery because all staff are very polite,pleasant and they are very reassuring.

Friendly and professional practice. Very caring dentist and hygienist who chat through treatment options and give tips on keeping my teeth and mouth healthy. Opening hours are convenient and it is a short walk from Lewisham station and lots of bus options. It is up a steep flight of stairs but they do have a stair lift.

Staff are very friendly, but always seem to have a problem with a long wait. Had to wait 45 mins for my daughters’ 5 min first appointment and an hour for my own 10 min appointment because the receptionist hadn’t booked me in properly. Appeared to be too busy collecting their McDonald’s orders for lunch.

Saw a very competent dentist and hygienist. Received really great treatment and advice. Unfortunately I won't be returning there as they have a policy of not giving NHS places after you have had private treatment. So I only had treatment whilst on the waiting list for an NHS dentist in the area

Very good, ensure receptionist confirms both your check up and following hygienist appointment on arrival. Otherwise, you run the risk of missing an appointment as it appears you have not attended.

Was seen only a few minutes after time of appointment for a check-up. Dentist found a small cavity. I agreed to have it drilled out a bit and filled. All over in about 10 minutes. Paid £70 on NHS.
