The world’s foremost independent research library devoted to science, engineering, and technology. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Four buildings connect for a grand space of resources, exhibits, and programming. It sits on a 14-acre urban arboretum! One current exhibit is "To the Moon: The Science of Apollo." Check it out!
Just paid and got my so call library card. Was told I had to make an appointment. Staff acts as though doing you a favor by waiting on you. All I wanted to do is check out a book for the weekend. I will not go there again. Pardon the expression but they can stick it.
Linda Hall is one of my favorite libraries of all time. They offer exquisite programming both in-person and virtually. The online library guides and digitized content are also wonderful. The arboretum and spaces inside Linda Hall are a site to see! Thank you!
If you are into Science you will be blown away by this library. It has so many incredibles things to see. The grounds are extensively planted with a tremendous amount of unique trees and shrubs. Plan on spending several hours to visit this fun place.
The librarians have always been very helpful, well informed and friendly. I have been able to find nearly every resource that I have wanted, be it a book in the stacks or journal articles. They have great events and exhibits that are always
The only KC library where patons aren't allowed. While it claims to be open to the public, I went in once as a grad student and was swiftly ushered out and told I wasn't welcomed.
Linda Hall Library is the finest library I have ever encountered for doing investigations in Mathematics. As Neil Young sang in a different context, "Long may you run."
This library is one of Kansas City’s (and although they’re not affiliated, and students generally can’t park here) UMKC’s finest little-known hidden gems.
I'm student in UMKC even in MNLC I didn't found books which are available here one of the finest library ever.
A Hidden Gem in Kansas City! I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Linda Hall Library in Kansas City,
“A not-for-profit, privately funded institution, the Library is open to the public free of charge."
This is one of the best places around. I used to go there regularly when I was in graduate school.
Obsessed. So quiet, so historic, nicest staff. Best place to work from on the planet.
Absolutely beautiful library, great place to study and really interesting events.
I am grateful to live in a city with such an admirable library.
Beautiful library, lectures are incredible and free.
One of the best library's in the world.
A very good place to study
