"A great little neighborhood shop with a good selection of canned and bagged American and Mexican munchies"
"Look"
"These people make up the prices as they go! They need to get audited"
"The location is not very safe although it is definitely you know you get what you pay for cheap access to Quality liquor what's interesting is the socioeconomics of it if you walk one block do East you enter into a bustling Urban you know Starbucks and you walk 90 ft to the liquor store and you want by a sea of tents and broken spirit"
"Its small and clean and well managed, always have what i need at better prices than 7-11 or A Mart by the trolly"
A great little neighborhood shop with a good selection of canned and bagged American and Mexican munchies. And though I don't drink, the wall of booze behind the counter seems to range from $6 rot-gut vodka for the local homeless crowd to $200 tequila for the hipsters. It's also a good refueling point for people tailgating at Petco Park just a block away. Their fridge section has provided me many decent food stamp lunches over the past few years, though I prefer to use the microwave at work rather than theirs. For $1, their coffee is good for medicinal purposes only...but where else can you get a cup of coffee for a buck? The owner is a really nice guy. If he gets to know you, he'll start to rib you hard. That's the nice thing about a neighborhood. I like this little store. It’s a sketchy neighborhood and you pay a premium for the only liquor store in the entire zip code but it’s closer than 7-Eleven and they take food stamps, though I don’t recommend doing your main grocery shopping there. Check the dates on the salads and sandwiches.
Look.... I know the homeless community can create a damper on certain things, but the behavior, prejudice, discrimination, hostility, should not surpass reason.... I have had multiple instances where the behavior of the staff is extremely uncalled for. I am a disabled person who has been refused service and help due to discrimination. I had one of the workers try to keep me from parking in front of the store, with my handicap placard very visible, because he thought I would be longer than the 15 minute zone states which was behind the spot that I was going to park anyways, the workers are quick to react and do not listen to any reason. Do not go here unless you want to be a victim to discrimination. I will be contacting the ADA about this.
These people make up the prices as they go! They need to get audited. One day I paid $11.50 for a pack of smokes, the next day the same guy charged me $15.50. I didn't notice until after I checked my bank because he doesn't give u a receipt. My friend paid $9 for two 2 liter sodas on his EBT! I thought taxes were taken off on EBT transactions. $4 for Reese's sticks?! They are ridiculously expensive especially for the area they are in. Ripping off the homeless & making up prices depending on how they feel that day. It's a shame!

Its small and clean and well managed, always have what i need at better prices than 7-11 or A Mart by the trolly. Reminds me more of something you'd find in Boston's South End than here in SD, and that's it's charm! Its a neighbourhood store in this most motley of neighbourhoods!
Shady business. They always overcharge and always short your change. It's like a game for them. They are all crooks, especially the guy with the weird eye. They need to be investigated, because their overcharges are 2-4 dollars at a time.
If your going to be closed on a Friday night you should probably make sure it matches your hours. This is the second time I’ve tried to come here and they have been closed 2+ hours before they posted. Great customer service
Called to see if placing an online order was possible. Some jackass hung right up on me. No worries. Plenty of legitimate stores were perfectly happy to honor my request. After all, this is the 21st century.
Very helpful employees. Although because of the neighborhood they are very skeptical about shoplifting. The man who checked out my items was very nice and called me baby baby. It was really cute
The corner store is a staple to the community. The owners are very cool & down to earth as well. Their lack of NFL knowledge is a downfall lol j/k The store is packed with all you need.
great little Bodega. supper cold drinks and quiet a large selection of items. to bad the city doesn't care about the area. it's shaddy all day and night …
Don't use the ATM here. Money got stolen from my mom and they lied and said the cameras didn't work. The ATM is privately owned and isn't insured. Police report filed.
Nice place they got lots of stuff, food, smokes. And wine n others. Great food there I noticed the smell was great.drinks, soda and more:-) like going there.
I go here periodically & buy my favorite tobacco brand for the cheapest price in the SD area. AMEN HUBBA BUBBA AND ALL THE SKITTLES YOU CAN EAT
Horrible customer service. Called to see what types of bourbon they carried and the guy said he’s too busy and hung up. Really???
They are nice and it's convenient for me to get to. Also I like the hours there open. Other than that I'm good with that …
Terrible establishment, racism is alive and well in this store, save yourself the grief from prejudice and an unkept store.
The prices are sky high but the staff was polite and accommodating in homeless heavy east village.
