The parking section of this council is akin to an extortion racket. I recently picked up a ticket for parking in a residents bay. Now the resident had been requesting new visitor tickets for some time but to no avail. As a contractor working in a road I thought that if I pointed out the situation the council would understand. Nope.. instead I get a condescending response with a list of things that I "should" have done. Hey Richmond why don't you just replenish your residents like you "should" have done. Today I pay for the inefficiency and incompetence of the council. If you are a contractor in the area then add £110 to every job (per day) to cover yourselves. Ive only put one star because I am unable to leave no stars. Richmond you have money for one day.. my review is eternal.

I give 5 stars to the person I have just spoken to by the name of Ahmed. His customer service and attitude is first class and something that many others should take on board. In so far as the service I get from the council is concerned I give 1 ⭐️ as my ongoing issue is not being resolved and I am fed up chasing them. I’m sure that my property manager is doing all that he can but he is being severely let down by his finance department. I wait with bated breath following my latest contact

This council is cashing in on me trying to move away to make way for an ambulance. Yes, it's a junction box. But as I was in the right lane, the space in the junction box was the only place to park to let through the ambulance safely. I appealed to the council, but they refused to consider the fact that I wanted to make way for the ambulance. I have to little time to appeal to London Tribunals, so I will pay. However, I lost some faith in Richmond today.

Just saw all the reviews.... shocking The corruption in this country is on another scale. This council has some of the highest council tax but delivers incredibly poor service for its residents. The only well maintained areas are central richmond and the wealthy parts. The rest of richmond is completely unmaintaned. Over growing vegetation on side walks, huge potholes and damaged roads etc. Richmond council is the hall mark of corruption in the UK

Truly incompetent. I have been trying to pay a parking fine since January (when a notice was sent to me while on holiday). Since then, e-mails have been sent and no response (other than an automatic acknowledgement that they were received). Now I have to pay more, because they have ignored e-mails! I followed the advice given over the phone but it seems to have counted for nothing. .

They are a joke I've called probably 30 times over the last few months about the same issue. We want to find out how to get our rubbish collected at a property in Central Richmond as it is above a salon. Every time I called the waste and recycling department I am told the same thing: that they are going to find out and let me me know later that day . I never get a call back

Richmond have roads perpendicular to each other with a parking meter in the middle, one road accepts normal parking tickets, the other requires tickets purchased in a shop with the Richmond symbol displayed. There are two clear areas of bad design here. 2019 and you need to buy a physical ticket in a shop. The use of machines in parallel to this unique process.

There is now no numbered queueing system - it's by appointment only these days. As a result, their service is cost effective, but almost NON-EXISTENT. Edit 20/09/2018: from next week they will not be operating a public reception service during lunch hours. If you go during this time, there will be no one there.

Why 2.8?!! Appalling service, no respect for people, streets are dirty, even worse after rubbish collecting day, potholes everywhere, traffic jam, closed roads for the benefit of who??!! And don’t make me start on planning applications!! Someone learn how to run this council for the fees we are all paying you!

I have been going here for a few years because of an elderly relative needing a lot of assistance. Was good until about 2 years ago. Staff were always happy and smiley. But since they merged with Wandsworth, smiles and happiness are the exception and not the rule. Clearly a horrible place to work now!

This council is absolutely atrocious, the worst I've ever experienced. The parking department in particular are clueless, and issue PCNs and fines with no logical reason, likely to try to cash-grab from paying residents. No sense of process or clear communication. A joke for a public-facing service.

Ongoing problem with rubbish collection. For some reason council stoped collecting my rubbish. For over 1 month emails with complaints flying around and all I can hear it's "we sorry"... Still waiting for explanation of the situation?!?! Rubbish collection is absolutely rubbish!!!

Food Waste not collected. Went online to RUTC site, Waste Collection page, reported non-collection, informed waste would be collected within two working days. It wasn't. Don't waste your time reporting online. Call them instead.

If you have a dog DO NOT move to Richmond borough. From today is the most unfriendly borough in the UK. All dogs in the parks in Richmond have to be on the lead. Been told by an officer.

Went there to renew parking permits. No appointment needed. Staff were polite and got the job done quickly without any fuss.
