★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and I must say that my experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I arrived until the moment I departed, every aspect of my journey was seamless and enjoyable. First and foremost, the airport's infrastructure and facilities are top-notch. LAX has undergone significant renovations in recent years, and it clearly shows. The terminals are modern, clean, and well-maintained. The signage is clear and informative, making it easy to navigate through the airport without any confusion. The ample seating areas, charging stations, and free Wi-Fi provided a comfortable environment for passengers to relax or catch up on work while waiting for their flights. The security process at LAX was efficient and hassle-free. The TSA staff were professional, courteous, and focused on ensuring passenger safety without causing unnecessary delays. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I made it through the security checkpoint, which is not always the case at other airports. One aspect that truly stood out to me was the wide range of dining and shopping options available at LAX. From fast-food chains to upscale restaurants, there was something to suit every taste and budget. The variety of cuisines and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Additionally, the duty-free shops and boutiques offered an excellent selection of products, allowing me to indulge in some retail therapy before my flight. I also appreciated the airport's transportation options. The shuttle service between terminals was frequent and convenient, ensuring that I didn't waste any time moving between flights. Moreover, LAX's proximity to major highways and public transportation made it easy to access the airport from different parts of the city. Lastly, I want to commend the airport staff for their exceptional service. From the helpful information desks to the friendly gate agents, everyone I encountered during my time at LAX was genuinely dedicated to providing a positive passenger experience. Their willingness to assist and their warm demeanor made me feel welcomed and valued as a traveler. Overall, my journey through LAX was a delightful experience. The airport's modern infrastructure, efficient processes, diverse dining and shopping options, convenient transportation, and friendly staff all contributed to a smooth and enjoyable trip. LAX has certainly set a high standard for other airports to follow. I highly recommend LAX to anyone traveling through Los Angeles and look forward to my next visit.
LAX is one of the most major airports world -wide and gateway to and from the United States on the west coast. It's operations are massive and a large number of world airlines serve it. Having said the overall design and terminal connectivity and connectivity to the city leave much to be desired and the city of Los Angeles deserves much better. The setup is that of 8 total terminals, including the main international terminal, the Tom Bradley or Terminal B at the head of them. Different airlines operate from different terminals with some airlines operating from more than one terminal depending on flights or changes that had been occurring given renovations and the like. All of which can make your visit or connection at LAX confusing and troublesome. The historic theme biudling representing the jet age of the 1960s is a Los Angeles city Landmark and an easily recognizable part of the airport. It goes through alot of renovations and its occupants tend to change from time to time, I am not sure of it current operations although I would assume it will have more foot traffic once the planned LAX terminal-wide APM gets up and running. As a major airport, almost all expected services are indeed available but might not be easy to find. With each terminal offering shops and eateries and airline lounges accordingly. I have personally not had any issues traveling to, from or through LAX, and have interacted with well-intentioned professional staff on the whole. Like most major airports, particilaltry in the US, car rental services are located offsite with free shuttle services being available from the arrival hall if each termina, which means it could be a while till you reach the rental station. Having said that, LAX does have one major advantage for airplane and airline enthusiasts, albeit not on the promises, and that is the breathtaking landing seen of aircraft at the in and out burger nearby.
The departure experience at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) typically involves several key steps: 1. Check-in: Passengers can check in for their flight through various methods, including online check-in, airport kiosks, or at the airline's check-in counters. Baggage can be dropped off if necessary. 2. Security Screening: After check-in, passengers must go through security screening. This involves passing through security checkpoints where personal belongings and carry-on items are scanned. It's essential to arrive early to allow for potential wait times at security. 3. Terminal and Gate: Once through security, passengers proceed to their departure terminal and gate. LAX has several terminals, and the airport offers a shuttle service called "LAX Shuttle" to move between terminals. 4. Dining and Shopping: LAX offers a variety of dining and shopping options in the pre-security and post-security areas of the airport. You can enjoy a meal or shop for last-minute items before your flight. 5. Boarding: Passengers should arrive at their gate well in advance of the boarding time listed on their boarding pass. Airlines usually begin the boarding process around 30 minutes before departure. 6. Passport Control (International Flights): For international flights, passengers will go through passport control and customs before departing the United States. 7. Pre-Flight Relaxation: LAX also provides lounges for travelers who want to relax or work before their flight. Access to these lounges can be purchased or may be available based on airline loyalty status. It's important to check with your airline and verify your flight details for any specific requirements or changes to the departure process, as they can vary. Additionally, make sure to arrive at the airport with ample time to complete these steps and ensure a stress-free departure experience.
So I flew in yesterday and thanking LAX right now for making a way to keep me inside the airport for my flight to Europe today. We walked 10 minutes from Alaska gate 68 to terminal B but the international side had couches and a food court that kept us almost perfect last night. I mean we could lay down. According to departure board we have to walk 15 more minutes! But that’s OK. We need that walk before our 10 hour flight. Things are very very expensive water five dollars soft drinks five dollars but meals are OK like outside at least where I live $12 for a salad. It was $10 for a bowl at panda $12 for a plate but drinks are outrageous And the international terminal the Tom Bradley terminal it’s kind of dolled up a bit. I have a PF Chang‘s upstairs food court downstairs fancy stores, police officers three of them parked outside an entrance into the airport all night and the police presence is inside the airport right now there are bars and restaurants there is even a bar at the Alaska gate in stores and restaurants. Lots of access to restaurants and if any places important for TSA I hope they are doing a great job here. They seem to be tons of flights going out overall pretty good experience and the people were pretty nice. Frankly, I’m surprised it just how nice it is for Los Angeles. We stayed by the way we didn’t wanna leave the airport because we know how long the lines are I work for an airline and the lounge we were going to buy an annual pass for Alaska, but they only open till 11 and to be honest, the couches in the area in the international term where was way nicer and the time flu because we were so comfortable. We are a party of 4 today.
The airport goes on forever. We were lucky to book a hotel that had free shuttle service. A nice selection of places to eat. Wolfgang had a pizza section with a brick oven, a bar which people were enjoying and a takeout section with sandwiches and salads. It's pricey but so is all the places in the airport. Wheelchair service was excellent. Nice shops too. Clean. It seems there is a lack of seating in the Alaska terminal at their gate locations. Otherwise, all is good! The airport is too big. That's for sure. The people that need wheelchair assistance is a problem. The distance from the gate to customs is about a mile walk. If you need a wheelchair, you are asked to walk the last part from entering to customs area to the disability section 77, 78 & 79 by yourself. What if you can't do it! My wife could. You wait until wheelchair assistance is available from there through customs and beyond. At the customs desk, you look into the camera and it has facial recognition. The customs officer knows your name and doesn't even need the passport. The hotel shuttle is into the next terminal. We walked outside in 52° weather to wait at hotel shuttle area. We were lucky and showed up right away. Check it out for yourselves.
You either love or hate this place , depending where you’re traveling from and to and how far are your gates apart. If you are travelling from overseas you may have first negative experience with never ending immigration lines. It seems to be the case at many major international hubs but here it’s especially painful. Easy to miss your connecting flight. If you connecting to or from domestic flight be prepared for rather long walk, depending on the airline. American Airlines are closest to international terminal B , but United gates will take you forever. It took me solid 20 mins walk and good 2 miles of never ending corridors, escalators and mazes. More confusing is that if you just arrived first time from other domestic airport and trying to get to Terminal B, well you don’t have an idea that it’s international terminal and there is not a single world mentioned about it. Each terminal has good selection of service options , cafes, restaurants and kiosks for everyone’s liking and budget. International departure is more fancy than the rest. You got multiple options of Transportation to and from airport.
L.A. is my hometown but I still think LAX is the saddest excuse for an international airport. It barely functions as such, testing people's patience and sanity with each passing day. Level it and start anew. The horseshoe design makes for the worst traffic flow in the entire state! Then there's Terminal 5 which looked like my junior high's boys locker room by the time I got there one evening at 9pm to catch an 11pm flight. Trash was scattered throughout all waiting areas for every gate, the seats were stained with oily fingerprints and the bathrooms seemed like piss was part of the decor. Sad, sad, sad to have to write such awful things about an airport that still can claim the coolest centerpiece of any public space in the world, the theme building; it extolls the glory of Jetsons modernist architecture made during its 1960s heyday. There, that's my positive. The theme building kicks to the curb any of its architectural rivals and lives proudly for all to see, although it too has seen better days. Come on, LAX! You can do better!
Not bad for an international Gateway and equal to some other airports. Now the big “BUT”, given that LA and it status for California and USA, I feel this airport represents the minimum expectation for such an important gateway. I really the semi cathedral ceiling creating the architectural volume needed for this. The designer did make the most of the limited area they had to work with. The most pressing issue with this airport is the connectivity to the other 6 terminals adjacent to it ,which happens on the external. You have to take these buses if you have to transfer beyond the adjacent terminals 3 and 5 (these 2 you can walk). These buses take a while as traffic sometimes gets snarled up on the loop. So if you are catching a connecting flight from this terminal give yourself sometime to clear immigrations get your bag and check in again at your next domestic airline (American, delta, southwest, jet blue etc etc) because they won’t be at this one.
My recent experience at LAX was generally positive. The airport is a bustling hub of activity, efficiently connecting travelers from around the world. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and there was a good variety of shops and dining options to choose from. Navigating the terminals was relatively easy, with clear signage and helpful staff available to provide assistance when needed. Security and customs procedures were reasonably streamlined, minimizing wait times. However, I did find some areas for improvement. The airport can get quite crowded, especially during peak travel times, making it a bit challenging to find a quiet space to relax. Additionally, parking options were a bit pricey, and I wished for more affordable alternatives. In summary, LAX is a solid choice for air travel, offering efficient service and a good range of amenities. With a few tweaks to enhance the passenger experience, it could easily earn a full 5 stars.
The departures side of Terminal B is renovated and looks good. Well signed with a good amount of food options and also shopping. Plenty of retail options for sundries and plane essential snacks. High end retail includes Gucci, Hermes, Moncler and Bvlgari. The arrivals desperately needs a renovation, looks like works are underway though. The signage is lacking at exits to direct people to rental car etc. it’s a bit of a nightmare trying right now figure it all out as staff give different answers. The security screening is ancient technology compared to airports around the world. Electronics, toiletries and shoes all need to be removed and placed in the bins. Other airports with the modern scanners only require bags to be placed in the bins, nothing needs to be removed. American airports in general are lacking and behind the technology times compared to most of the world.
I recently traveled through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and had a fantastic experience overall. The staff at LAX were incredibly helpful and made my time at the airport stress-free. They were readily available, knowledgeable, and approachable, providing me with prompt assistance whenever I needed it. From navigating the terminal to answering my questions, their guidance was invaluable. Their professionalism and positive attitudes were evident throughout, even during busy periods. While my experience was highly positive, there is always room for improvement. Some areas, such as signage and directions, could be enhanced to make navigation even easier. However, the helpfulness of the staff made up for any minor shortcomings. Overall, I highly recommend Los Angeles International Airport for its fantastic staff and excellent travel experience.
An amazing mess! Perhaps one of the greatest mess in the States after JFK. No words can describe LAX. However it’s being updated to look more modern. They have removed all the pay phones from the 80’s. The rest is slow. Business on the front sucky sucky in the back. Just like a mullet ;) California lives on and if people don’t die immediately it’s all good!!! A homeless guy would have designed the airport better. Would have given a lot of jobs to the homeless and have created something astounding. The current people running the show are incompetent but because the airport works they call it LAX, safe and all the other fancy words. Not to mention for some terminals you have to take the mysterious bus going through moving planes, luggage, and you name it
Gate 210 A/B is not clearly marked. Unlike gate 201, which is labeled clearly above the glass doors, 210 is completely unmarked. I saw two desks and figure the one on the left was for gate A and the one on the right for gate B. I found out 20 seconds too late that there was another set of desks at the far-right for people boarding from gate B. Furthermore there were so many intercom announcements on top of each other I wasn't able to hear Minneapolis being called. Suncountry didn't bother to call my name either. Had the glass door's been Mark properly above I wouldn't have missed my flight. There is no consistency in their signage, making it very confusing for people with low vision.
LAX is interesting because their dropoff area for Terminal A leads directly to TSA. Any non-travelers do not have the lobby area to wait. Based on announcements, it seems that people are not allowed into the airport generally unless they're traveling. Terminal A has many restrooms and also has several water fountains with the bottle refill stations. You can find the usual stores and restaurants, but something I'm not used to seeing in the US is a Hugo Boss inside a terminal. Also nice is that there are several charging stations around the terminal. The main thing that is difficult is navigating the space when there are so many people, especially when you have never been in LAX.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) offers a mix of improvements and areas of degradation. The airport has seen significant enhancements in recent years, with modernized terminals, improved amenities, and efficient check-in processes. However, it is important to note that some areas still exhibit signs of wear and outdated infrastructure. The airport's vast size and high passenger traffic can result in congestion and occasional delays, particularly during peak travel times. Nevertheless, LAX continues to serve as a major hub connecting travelers from around the world, and its ongoing efforts to improve the overall passenger experience are commendable.
We had a 6-hour layover at LAX. We came into the international terminal so we had to recheck our bags and go through security again. Totally fine and we are seasoned international travelers and very used to that. However this airport has absolutely no services outside of security. No decent places to sit, no coffee shop no food no water nothing. Huge thumbs down guys. You handle an enormous amount of humans everyday, and we can't be the first people to have this issue. You really should enlist a small food vendor at least to cater to those humans who are waiting patiently to go through your airport when the airline won't check your bag until 4 hours out.
Overall s good experience with this facility. It was easy to navigate around. The signage is well design to take you around. Airport has several stores as well as small stand where you can purchase all kind of items. The restrooms are clean with the supplies you need. This was my second time here in the last couple months and the experience was the same which means consistency. Airport offers wifi as well stations for nursing, shoe shine, restaurants, coffee shops. Once you are out the pick up area for uber, taxi and rental car is well organized. Considering the size of the facility they are doing a good job. .
Is there a way I can give it a 0 star? LAX. The worst airport there is in regards to transportation and convenience. The horse shoe road is the worst design ever. 1 way in feeding all 7 terminals. Expect an hour from the freeway exit to one of the terminals. If you are on a rush, do not fly out of LAX. Expect to leave at least 3.5 hours before your flight. I've been sitting on the entrance of the airport not moving. We have to get to the most furthest terminal. Another 1/2 hour if lucky. I wish the can make the modifications fast and not take 10 years to build something. 1 year can be all done.
Ugh, worst international airport when it comes to departure tsa. THEY PATTED MY MINOR CHILD ON HIS PRIVATE PARTS! We have Global Entry/TSA Precheck. My son broke his zippers so everytime he get on the scan, it beeps, he went through it 3x. Took shoes, socks, no belts, empty pockets, nothing left on him but pants, t-shirt and underwear. Then, this tsa went to pat him and touch his privates! The other tsa told him, he can't do that. We made a complaint and have a to wait from someone higher ups. Hope he gets fired. As for arrival, customs officers and employees have better manners and friendlier.
ID was lost either on the plane or from gate to bus pick up, every one says was not found. Police will mail it to the address on it if found. Well that is zero help for renting a car or checking into a hotel, vacation cancelled. Seating inside the airport is a really bad joke, 50ish seats for a gate, and the plane holds 163 passengers. Be prepared to stand around a lot. Seats before security are even scarcer inside, maybe 0-4 per airline. The outside benches are all rounded to prevent homeless sleeping spots. Las Vegas has a better airport and more to do there any way.
I know this is usually not normal, but today, the place was like a ghost town. The Delta lounge, as always, is excellent. The only downside is that DELTA has decided to make it extremely difficult to obtain status in 2024 while claiming they are making things easier. As it stands from the email, the only way you can earm Dimond status is if you spend almost 40k or if you have their credit card. I think they are getting to big for their britches... Thank you to the bartender for making one of the best Old Fashions I have had in a long time.
What can I say? Getting in and out of this airport by car is an absolute nightmare. Waited nearly 90 minutes to get picked up from Terminal B today. On the plus side, baggage services were reasonably quick, immigration wasn't bad at all (thank you GlobalEntry), and our plane only sat on the runway for 30 minutes before deplaning. Terminal B is also very nice with plenty of amenities. Unfortunately, just doesn't make up for the huge inconvenience of getting picked up from here. But if you're coming into LA, your kind of stuck with this.
This is a very large and very busy airport. I found most of the stuff friendly but some were rude, maybe due to overwork or something but pack your patience with you. Good and clean facilities, ample food options. The best thing I like about LAX is that one doesn't need to walk a lot before reaching the gate as is the case with many large airports. If you already have an e-boarding pass, you just get dropped on the world way, take escalators to security check and walk a couple minutes to your gate. Very convenient on most terminals.
I mean... It's Los Angeles so it is bound to be busy but traveling for the holidays can be a crazy time. You can put your turkey in the oven and by the time you check in and go through TSA during Thanksgiving, your turkey will be cooked to perfection. Friendly crew and very easy to talk with and they take time to answer your questions. Very easy to navigate through. There are some really cool food options in terminal 5 but if you plan on getting coffee, you can have a second turkey baked by the time you are out of the line.
LAX is one of the biggest international airports. That being said give yourself plenty of time for departure flights. Know your airline and terminal before arriving. The terminals are are long and spread out. Some airlines require you to take a shuttle within the airport..its that big. And these shuttles run on there time not your schedule. And take into consideration the traffic in LA and its surrounding cities..traffic is nuts. All airlines have service desks if you need help.
LAX Provided A Okay Service And Its Really Not Safe For A Baggage I Had A Felling A Bag Was Dented In The Process In The Carousel. The Airport Is Crowded During This Time And Wasn’t That Clean Or That Sanitized This Airport Is Very Huge Tho But There Is No Convenient Or Family Owned Shops Located In The Airport Which The Airports Location Is Okay To Be Fair I Do Not Think The LAX Is Bad But It’s Okay To Be Fair The Baggage Process Is Fast But The Baggage Might Be Dented.
Best airport so far and friendly staff, nice views and cafeteria sitting. Try to come before than your actual time sometimes it has very high crowd due to checkin and security check may take more time. Also if you need to take other terminal through airport shuttle then arrive before. Some airlines may start their boarding before then their actual time which happened with me, I was there by 10 minutes late to actual start of Boarding but luckily I don’t miss it.
Overall: This is just a huge airport. I just had only a bad experience, which was really pity. Access: to the city is not good, only bus or taxi/uber/lyft. Traffic congestion inside the airport never gets sorted out. The quality of immigration officers: Immigiration officer was very rude + whispering and could not hear what he was saying, and he never tried to speak louder. Lounges: The lounges were boring. I visited AA Flagship and Qantas Business Lounge.
I enjoy LAX. Though it's extremely busy and crowded, it's large enough to find a comfortable place to rest and people watch. When I need to travel, I get there very early and take my time. Currently there is lots of remodeling going on. Many changes are taking place for the good. The hurricane made a few changes in scheduling flights but it was handled well. I beat the luggage so it was quiet. A new star wars movie in August. The photo wall was nice.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) offers a bustling gateway to the world. With its extensive flight options, modern facilities, and diverse amenities, LAX ensures a convenient travel experience. However, the sheer size can lead to crowded terminals and longer security lines. Despite occasional congestion, LAX's continuous efforts to upgrade infrastructure and enhance passenger services contribute to its status as a major global airport.
Renovated airport. Cleaner than before but still chaotic. The big ugly decoration hanging over people’s head at Tom Bradley Terminal is ridiculous. It is clumsy, depressing and clearly out of place. When I first saw it 5 years ago, I was shocked and asked the workers there if it was temporary. They told me they didn’t know. I saw it again today and I was really disappointed. Who made the decision to hang such an ugly piece over people’s head?
LAX is the largest airport on the west coast of the United States. With four runways, thousands of flights take off and land daily. This airport serves as a major hub for Alaska Airlines and also as a portal to major Asian and Oceania cities. The airport operates 24 hours a day and features 7 terminals and ample parking lots for travelers. TSA always takes a few minutes but try TSA Pre Check to speed you through the airport security process.
A very well run airport given its amount of foot traffic and visitors at any given moment. The airport is HUGE (in Canadian standards) and very crowded. It's very easy to get from point A to point B, just that the airport itself is huge and may take some time to walk. Washrooms are clean, and it's basically like walking into a giant modern mall. Plenty of area to sit, free Wi-Fi is available. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable.
Had a positive experience at the airport. Free Wi-Fi which does not need you to link to a email or phone number, with good speed in all areas. Lots of variety in food options and retail outlets unlike some of the other terminals or US airports. All spaces and restrooms are clean. Checkin and security gates well staffed and didn’t have too much waiting. Only downside is that you might have to walk a lot to get to your boarding gate.
The airport is fantabulous! After landing here we were directed to the CBP officers or the Immigration check where we have to queue one for the residents and the other for the non residents. Based on your purpose of visiting the officers question you and if you are all good then you can proceed further for the baggage claim. There are restrooms and the staff here will help you out in case of any concerns, they are friendly!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LAX airport exceeded my expectations! The facilities were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable travel experience. The signage was clear, making navigation a breeze. Security procedures were efficient, ensuring a smooth process. The staff was friendly and helpful, addressing any inquiries promptly. Although a busy airport, I experienced minimal delays. LAX is a top-notch choice for travelers. ✈️
Better than expected. Staff and ppl were friendly and helpful when i approached and requested help. Very large airport and it took 29 mins to get from main highway to departure area since it was bumper to bumper very slow going. Airport for most part was clean and many food/gift options inside gate areas. TSA was not bad. A little wait but fully staffed. Loved my visit to LAX. Weather and things to do were great!
Our flight got delayed multiple times and no one was informing us, total delay is 4 hours. The last minute they communicated to us that the flight got canceled (maintenance issue) and we have been waiting in the airport for the past 10 hours (total wait time). No one in the airport is attending to us. Assuming that it’s 2 AM, no one is in the counter to let us know what we should do next. This is ridiculous!
It's one of the largest and most busiest airports you'll ever see. This airport is just as busy as it gets, lots of foot traffic inside the airport and lots of traffic outside the airport as well, lots of cabs and Uber which is very costly due to all the traffic. Despite all that, this airport is very easy to navigate, I didn't have any problems getting to where I needed to go, so that's a plus for me.
I hadn't flown internationally from LAX in a while, but I recently had the chance to check out the Bradley International Terminal. It was surprisingly nice and clean. The only downside was that the places to eat closed pretty early. What caught me off guard was finding a restroom for dogs inside the terminal - pretty cool! I'm excited to use this terminal again for my next trip because it's so comfy.
There are no plastic water bottles for sale inside LAX. That large bottle of SmartWater that fits perfectly in your backpack bottle pocket DOES NOT exist inside LAX. Metal bottles are available but cost twice as much and are useless as a reusable. Bring your own reusable bottle and find fountains that are usually right in between the restrooms. 20% charge automatically charged at sit down dining.
If you are transiting the USA for another country and don’t intend to enter the country, then don’t come this route. They make you enter and leave the country only to transit. To top it up you have to collect your bags and then drop off for transit flights. It’s a great way of collecting your biometric data without it being necessary. Overall experience was below average ☹️
Despite its title of "one of the world's most crowded airports," when I visited LAX on a weekday, it was not very crowded. The place was clean and the staff were nice. You can take the shuttle bus from and to the Union Station. That's one of the few ways to access downtown LA using public transportation only. Find information online and book the bus in advance.
The airport is large, obviously, so crowded and can be hard to maneuver. The worst part is the bus ride to the Uber lot. It's 2023... most airports have figured out trams, shuttles, moving walkways etc. Also traffic to get out is insane and you can bet your ride to your hotel will cost upwards of $50. But other than that, signs are good. Restrooms are clean.
This is your typical big city International Airport. People are everywhere, everyone is in a hurry, and traffic around the location is horrible. That being said the, the United staff I interacted with were pleasant and helpfull. TSA took care of business quickly and professionally. The food choices were pretty standard and priced as expected.
Quick security and friendly staff made flying out of LAX a breeze. It’s a larger airport, so plan some extra time as some of the gates are a bit of a walk away. I flew United, and the gate area was clean and comfortable. There is a lot of traffic on the way into the airport, so plan accordingly. Overall a very great experience at LAX.
First off LAX is huge, they just finished a new Terminal and it looks like a mall. Food choices are varied and seemingly good. Plenty of Java everywhere you turn… And that's never a bad thing. The only bad part is trying to get to an Uber pick up zone it's not very clear fortunately we had another passenger give us some tips.
I recently took a flight out of LAX airport, and it was one of the best airport experiences I’ve ever had. There were not many people where you check your bags in. The security was about a 5 minute wait, and the walk was very short to my gate. Overall I had a great experience at this airport.
Someone tell me why it's 10 times quicker to get into an airport in Japan then it is for me to come home to LAX also maybe put a restroom on the way to immigrations it's not rocket science people? Also paint the walls and windows that have scratches out of them. Is truly an embarrassment
It's a huge airport and usually very busy and crowded. My experience was good overall. Long line at US Customs and Border Protection but it moved quickly. Easy to navigate across terminals and with lots of stores, restaurants and amenities. Nothing to complain based on my experience.
Nice airport, short waits for terminal b at immigration, and security. Check in was avg, only problems are that during peak times lots of traffic on the horseshoe entry and exit (stupid design) and that baggage took 40 min to arrive from my flight from Istanbul with Turkish airlines
As a US citizen, I am ashamed to say how bad this airport is. Agents yelling at you as if you’re a criminal. EXTREMELY overpriced food. 5 airlines put into 1 carrousel (I wish I was exaggerating) while 5 others are empty. Dark and dirty. Our tax dollars well spent. …
I like going on adventures, finding new spots, LA is a huge place, I’ve lived here for 10+ years and never been here before. This was an amazing experience just watching the airplanes pass you by!! Hopefully you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them!!
City of love opening of borders LA doesn't let a border close their mindset. Amazing city with a colorful story. Residents really make this city shine the city of LA reflects the people's effort to enjoy life. Feel the excitement of being yourself in this airport.
The airport is quite busy (at least international terminal), but it is managed quite well (e.g. security inspection). Decent shopping and some eating shopping inside. Seems enough space to sit down which is becoming an issue due to allocation of space for retail.
LAX is expanding, and it's becoming one the most beautiful, elegant airports you can imagine. Great restaurants, lounges, and plenty of seats to sit, relax till your flight takes off. It is kid friendly and has lots of IT connections for your media connections.
REALLY HUGE PLACE!! I usually like to fly out of LAX at night. Very clean airport and very nice staff. Prepare for heavy traffic, there is little to no stopping. Signs are self explanatory and there is more than enough workers around that are happy to help out.
Place needs a tram to get across terminals. Had to speed walk outside from T1 to T6 as recommended by the shuttle driver. You know it’s bad when airport traffic is worse than people traffic. Take cue from YYZ and travel between terminals in <5 minutes. …
How was LAX, much smoother than I expected especially being LAX. Security line was a breeze thru in 10 mins or less. Coming thru International Customs was much easier than expected as well so, thankful for that as again no issues making connecting flight.
Nice airport and I could see couple of construction going on for terminal 3 where we can get Starbucks ,cava etc . Good and clean airport and easy to navigate . Lot of grab and go options but truly disappointed to see nothing for priority pass holders
If you need wheelchair accessibility or a wheelchair, make sure to notify the airline either in person or in advance when you book. I injured my foot in Hawaii and had to get help on the way back. The airlines have wheelchairs and assistant
This airport has been one of the most improved over the last decades, and is now modernized and clean. The arrival and departure flights out of the Delta terminal have been seamless and pleasant and consistent over the last couple of years.
Needs some work. Was quick getting through security, but just overall needs a lift. Looks dirty and run down Overall selection of restaurants is also very small and places to buy souvenirs is very small. They have a cool gaming area though
Worst airport ever. Traffic jams all the way. Rental cars is far, be prepared to spare an hour to pick up or drop off the car and get all the way to/from airport. Parking is super expensive starting at 9 USD the first hour which won’t do
Overall great experience, quick and easy. Considering the volume of traffic they do great job, keep things moving. Lots of construction, but really no impact on operations. Good choice of places to eat getting ready for my 14 hour flight.
LAX usually gets a bad rap, but if you figure out the general flow, it actually does a pretty decent job managing the very large volume of travelers that come thru! The fact that each airline has its own terminal with a separate security
Few weeks back I have traveled through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and had a fantastic experience overall. During arrival at Mid night , there was a long long queue for immigration which was last up to 2 hours till my number
A nice airport! Very busy, but we had a flight early in the morning with United to Hawaii. I'd definitely recommend getting TSA PRECHECK, otherwise you're in for a long wait to pass security. Otherwise the rest is pretty quick and easy!
This is a large airport and was very busy at the time. The food options were terrible. The orange juice was so sugary and absolutely gross and the chocolate croissant at this Cafe outside the gate had barely any chocolate. Once we were
One of the largest Airports in America. Very busy and can be confusing, with a lot of walking. But truly they will get you where you need to go. Do not park here, pay for parking nearby. And hotels get cheaper away from the airport.
Really big airport. LOTS of stores and best of all there is are some healthy food/snack choices. Transport option is to be considered ! Need to take a shuttle to bring u to ride share pick up. Do-able if u don’t have any luggages.
Not only is this airport conveniently close to various major cities in California, it also facilitates many other connections. Traffic can be a nuisance during busy times but it’s a small price to pay for the perks it provides.
Very busy airport but very clean and easy to find around. If you're doing a rental car you have to take a shuttle to get to the rentals. If you can go to a smaller airport in the area I would. Traffic gets insane as well.
LAX is often crowded and difficult to get around in. However,it is relatively clean and well maintained. Give yourself some extra time getting through security and getting to your gate to make sure you catch your flight
Can’t speak for the other terminals, but Delta Terminal 2 is incredible. Beautiful airside! Lounge, restaurant options and a very smooth easy operation they run. Great experience this time around at LAX flying Delta.
Was there for International flight. The Terminal B is so far away from other terminals. Without the shuttle train, it is so exhausting. However, the atmosphere inside the terminal is super. Plenty of things to do.
Fast and courteous TSA Pre-Check for the early day flights. Clean facility with lots of seating and charging stations for electronic devices. There’s plenty of stores & restaurants to shop and enjoy a meal.
bags took FOREVER. airport looks nice but the staff arent really nice. bathrooms were kept clean. would not suggest an overnight layover traveling from international terminals to domestic terminals.
Absolutely giant airport and the busiest one I've been to. In fact for a connecting flight it took us almost an hour to get from one terminal to another, including security and baggage claim.
For such a busy airport it was very easy to negotiate and get exactly to our gate. The lounge was very good , and the hot chocolate with bailey's was superb …
Too noisy and not good directions and gates direction . Very hard to navigate to terminal and if anyone have short conversations definitely will miss the connection
Great experience, stayed a few hours before my check in to make sure I was here There was plenty of seating and also some wall plugs on the wall. (some of the
The only thing I have bad experience with service of southwest is the price for first class Is no first class at all end they charge me a lot more for that
Very big airport. The shuttle took me to the Uber area. The bus is free. The airport is clean and reliable with the sign telling me where to go.
Great hall at Tom Bradley is phenomenal! Open concept shopping and gates together. New Terminal 3 is also wonderful for Delta flights.
nice and big airport - fun to watch all different types of airplanes coming and going - but very chaotic outside in front of entrance
Very busy airport as it serves as a major hub or focus city for more passenger airlines than any other airport in the United States.
Super big and busy airport. Kinda challenging to navigate through. Not as many flight board signs as I would anticipate.
I recently flew into LAX on BREEZE airways. Super easy and on time. Uber pick-up easy to find as well.
