Park
"tiny sliver of a park formed by the intersection of Lafayette Place, Kenmare Place, and Cleveland Place"
"Fantastic little spot to sit and eat lunch during the week"
"Peace and tranquillity can be had amid the hustle and bustle of New York City, it’s in memory of a great police Lt, he was even acknowledged by the President"
"Formerly Kenmare Square, its name was changed in 1987 in honor of Lieutenant Joseph Petrosino, an early 20th century NYPD official dedicated to investigating and combating, among other adversaries, the Black Hand, an early version of the Mafia in America"
"Great place to sit and people watch"
tiny sliver of a park formed by the intersection of Lafayette Place, Kenmare Place, and Cleveland Place. this small triangular "urban park" is in high traffic part of SoHo. a little bit of greenery pops up in patches in this outdoor space. benches are both in the interior and the exterior of the gated park. there' a huge CitiBike rack at the northern tip if you are part of the blue bike cult. Petrosino Square is a great place to sit and sip on a coffee, grab lunch and people watch, catch a breather when shopping in the area or simply meeting up with folks before exploring Soho, NoLita, etc. pro tip: Petrosino is right across from Eileen's Special Cheesecake Shop. grab some rugelach and enjoy the sweet life. drops mic cuz i'm parked for the day
Fantastic little spot to sit and eat lunch during the week. A huge variety of locals and tourists come in here, so it's fun for people watching. The seats in the shade get filled up quickly on sunny days and you have to watch out for birds in the trees above. Bird poop on your lunch is no fun. You get the occasional smoker who doesn't realize they can't smoke in there, too. It is an official city park, so regular rules apply and are posted outside the gates in.
Peace and tranquillity can be had amid the hustle and bustle of New York City, it’s in memory of a great police Lt, he was even acknowledged by the President. It’s only small in size but what it does have is trees and areas where nature can do it’s thing ie flowers and shrubs, lots of seating area is present
Formerly Kenmare Square, its name was changed in 1987 in honor of Lieutenant Joseph Petrosino, an early 20th century NYPD official dedicated to investigating and combating, among other adversaries, the Black Hand, an early version of the Mafia in America.
Great place to sit and people watch. Lots of foot traffic pass this park. Note to self: This is one of the sites my father was photographed in 1956. The old Police Headquarters can be seen just Southwest of this park. Look down Cleveland Place.
Sitting down to rest after a hard work task and enjoying the spectacle that the skaters provide on that street brings back the most beautiful memories of my son. The park is located in front of many places where you can spend pleasant moments.
The park is situated in a busy neighborhood, well kept, and with a reasonable amount of seating. It is a nice spot to sit down and immerse yourself in the hum of the neighborhood; seeing people walk by, hang out, and bring their dogs over.
Such a cute little spot we happened by on our way to the subway! Great drinks and lovely atmosphere. I really liked how the window was open so you could sit outside as well. Open late and a great detour for sure
Located in SoHo near SPRING street station, this park is an easy to relax spot with a seating area and benches. Nicer in summer or spring than the chilly frosty breath of winter
Es una pequeña plaza donde puedes comer tranquilamente lo que hayas comprado en alguno de los locales de las calles de alrededor o simplemente descansar.
Awesome relaxing spot with views all around. Nestled in just the right location to enjoy a snack, play with the pigeons, and especially people watch.
Nice park. Packed with people, some of whom didn't wear masks. But obviously if distances were important for you, don't go here.
You need to be there to tell your own story and your experience, it's amazing place full of memories and great place to be
Small park with many great restaurants around the area ,good place to have your favorite pizza and so many to choose from.
My son loves this park, is a long commute but we enjoy our time here. There's a lot to be done at this park.
Great spot to enjoy your lunch or drink. The only downside is all the delivery guys waiting for their call.
Always a nice spot to pop a squat and eat your lunch. Very tiny but you can typically find an empty bench.
Bourgeois people, sans melanin, who are culture vultures. Other than that, it's a beautiful spot in Soho.
Very dead in the winter, but a nice place to eat in a setting more spacious than the restaurants nearby
Small and not much sitting areas, beware of pigeons dropping on benches, but cool spot to chill a bit!
Walking around New York at Petrosino park, Patty Smith's impromptu concert... unbelievable.
Very nice quiet place in the morning to get your self ready for the day …
small park but you relax quietly, just take care of it and don't get dirty
This place slaps mega loud one-a the most tiny parks in the city …
A little pigeony (if you know what I mean), but that is to be expected!
