"Lights Gaslight park has taken the Twist from the last time I've been in there used to be full of hibiscus plants and look really nice and really are beautiful with all the plants in the different Arrangements it's a nice spot now to is real nice it's a very crowded meeting spot for most of the downtowners at sets right in front of the Tampa Police Department and I also like the fight that it's a nice peaceful spot to just go and relax I do have one request I think it's way too dark in there I think I liked it better with the Hibiscus in the trees trimmed up nice it just gave it a more friendly atmosphere to me but all-in-all is a very nice"
"Lykes took a wrecking ball to an architectural treasure- The gas building with marble gargoyles and other beautiful features and turned it into the gaslight park with their name on it"
"This once was a great park to just sit and people watch have lunch or just stroll through"
"Very nice tree lined park with a cross diagonal walkway and park style benches throughout"
"A park infested with homeless people, because our mayor and police seem to think there is a Constitutional right to loiter, panhandle, harass decent citizens and the like"

Lykes took a wrecking ball to an architectural treasure- The gas building with marble gargoyles and other beautiful features and turned it into the gaslight park with their name on it. I think it's quite awful that they did this and so I'm going to have to rate this park very low because of the irresponsible things the Lykes family did here. This is why it's important to have architectural review commissions and layers of law to protect Tampa's colorful past.
This once was a great park to just sit and people watch have lunch or just stroll through. There used to be a couple of larger asset installations too. This little bit of nature has a child and underlining feel to it now. Anything that might allow you to pause is gone. All the benches have been removed, cannot eat lunch, stop to enjoy the sun... Even the larger pieces of art are gone. Stripped away with the benches. What happened?
Very nice tree lined park with a cross diagonal walkway and park style benches throughout. Makes for a great place to grab lunch or q quick snack. Throughout the year they stage cool events at this location.T There is plenty of shade and no lack of relaxation at this park located in the middle of downtown Tampa. No restroom facilities at this park.
A park infested with homeless people, because our mayor and police seem to think there is a Constitutional right to loiter, panhandle, harass decent citizens and the like. Total disaster and a magnet for the mentally ill homeless who drive away business, tourists, and other decent and productive people.
Beautiful, tree-lined park in the middle of downtown Tampa. It is a great place to go in the summer to get away from the blazing sun. There's wifi in the park courtesy of Brighthouse. All along the park there are great places to grab something to eat, then take it to the park for a nice outdoor meal.
Park has food trucks on the first Wednesday of each month. That's about it. However, homeless people are great numbers at all times of the day. Some use the bench to "hump" start their day. The urine that whafts through the air is enough to sting the nostrils from great distances.
This was a great little Park right next to the police station and near lots of restaurants I'm blind and don't go out very much this was my favorite Park until they took the benches away the reason behind taking the ventures away was because it was overrun with displaced homeless
Attended an award celebration for my dear sister Ida Walker. Park is very well kept and a great addition in the heart of the great Downtown Tampa Bay. Upgrades had some areas off limits. Full story reported in the Florida Sentinel Newspaper.
Every first Wednesday of the month there is The Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta at this park. Two whole sides of Tue park are full with a variety of food trucks making it hard to choose where you want to eat. There are also tables and chairs set
A park in the middle of a historical street. Lots of shade, beautiful flowers and a huge kapok tree. Leads to the beach from shopping sector and makes a nice walk to beach. Older homes on the south side with interesting architecture.
Food Not Bombs provides free food and other items for those in need every Tuesday at 8am and Saturday at 4pm. It is is good to see that the city has come to its senses and stopped trying to arrest people for feeding the hungry. <3
So much is said about the area. I walk this and crisscross each street almost daily for seightseeing & exercise. Plenty of ppl & police around. Food trucks or a deli if u prefer. I walk thru the park to look at the flowers & such.
The park is alright is in the middle of Downtown and doesn’t have benches but is perfect for a picnic or walking your dog ! There are a few restaurants near ! Like Subway, Sams and Eddy ,Rico’s Açaí
For a Park there was no where to sit change in everyday they put out tables and chairs to sit it's nice and cozy has become more people friendly in the atmosphere is much better than it was before
Would be a nice place to sit and enjoy the great weather if it weren't overran by spice smoking drunk homeless people begging for money and cigarettes and their pets they don't clean up after.
A pretty park but the stench of urine permeates the area near the police station. A good spraying with a fire hose each morning or perhaps some accessable toilets for the homeless are needed.
The periodic farmers market is worth visiting, during normal days it is ok to walk through. If you want a nice place to eat lunch or sit for a while, try Curtis Hixon Park or Plant Park
This is a tiny park right in the heart of downtown. We usually stroll through here when in downtown. We try to buy a couple of meals for the homeless who frequently stay in the park.
Small park in the middle of Downtown Tampa, a nice shady spot to take a break from the cubicle farm (lol) to eat lunch, breathe some fresh air, or even grab a cup of coffee.
An amazing place to have homemade soft serve ice cream. Take you and your girl out and sit in some amazing chairs. With some amazing park. free corn hole as well
Small friendly park. They usually have a small group of live entertainment. It's not unusual for a lot of homeless people to be there which is always sad to see.
Lykes Gaslight Park is a wonderful respite in downtown Tampa and is centrally located in the heart of this city. It's a very nice place to relax during the day.
This park is well shaded and is good for a quick lunchtime stop or meetup with friends. It is in close proximity to restarants and is a convenient urban stop.
Grab a bench and watch life pass by. Homeless community congregates to get free food. Nobody bothers anyone. Located next to Tampa PD. Lots of shade.
Nice place to walk through in downtown Tampa and shops (mostly eating establishments) around it but not a place with actual things in the park to do.
Really nice park in the middle of downtown. Food trucks park around it and there are several places to grab and go food. Then eat it at the park.
Beautiful little oasis in downtown. Happened upon some musicians playing some R&B. Perfect place to catch a few calm moments during a busy day..
this place isn't even real. what are you people even talking about? we should get this place removed off of Google maps because it's not there.
Horrible no places to sit. Seems all the benches and chairs where taken out. What good is a park if you can't sit and waist some time there.
This park is pretty dope .. great place to eat lunch and chill .. it was hot that day bring water .. or go across da street to cvs
We were here for a "food truck festival", thr festival was subdued but thr park was nice. Clean and plenty of seating.
Cute little park, in downtown. Grab some lunch or a coffee and people watch from any of the benches.
The city really has cleaned up the park recently. A pleasant walk during lunch hut or other times.
Nice shady park, one city block square in middle of downtown. Very pleasant, but no seating.
Open space park in the heart of downtown Tampa. Oak trees for shade and vendors on occasion.
Beautiful fountain in center of park in downtown Tampa. Easy walking distance from trolley.
Peaceful tree shaded park. A great sitting place to have lunch, meet a friend, or just sit.
This is one of my favorite place where I go to relax on weekends. I would give 5 stars.
Bring back the benches, we had to sit on the ground. Other than that cute little park.
Lots of homeless people begging for money. Really wish the City would clean this up.
Very pretty and quiet. Great place to meet new people, take walks or just be alone.
they removed all the benches and trash cans. being disabled thats not a good thing
Fabulously shaded spot for meeting friends. Too bad it's right in front of TPD! :(

Nice little park in middle of town. Best time to visit is after 12-1pm.
Nice little park my little yorkies enjoyed walking around in the grass
Nice spot to chill downtown Tampa only a block from the river walk.
Quiet place downtown to enjoy a bite to eat and good conversation.
Located across from the police station downtown. Very clean.
Mainly just use this as a reference point for where I park.
Nice place to unwind. S lot of shade for being in Downtown
Always a great time whenever the food trucks are in town.
