I have used Reflections for years for repairs of amplifiers and two way radios. I found them by default. Years ago, Fender referred me to Florida Electronics for factory authorized repair work on a Hot Rod Deluxe. Florida Electronics claimed to have done a "full diagnostic" and billed Fender accordingly, but the power tubes red plated as soon as I got home and turned the amp on. They obviously had done no testing at all of their repair work. It eventually took three trips for Florida Electronics to fix that amp. Then, Florida Electronics tried to squirm out of a factory authorized warranty repair by telling me a tube was bad. I knew it wasn't because I had tested it - like I do every tube - for output, transconductance, etc. on an old Hickock. The problem is that factory authorized warranty repair work pays a low hourly rate. You, the off-the-street consumer pay a much higher hourly rate. They'd rather bill you at the higher rate. The amp actually a bad relay - a repair covered under warranty. Florida Electronics had my amp for almost a year before they finally fixed it. For my next amp repair, there was no way I was going back to Florida Electronics. A local guitar tech referred me to Reflections. Charlie, the old owner ran a great shop. Bill was a top notch tech: honest, highly competent and efficient. They worked on plenty of my amps and my two way radio gear. Once, when one of their guys did a so-so job, Bill had to go in and do a major repair. Bill and Charlie worked with me. Mario, the current owner is a genuinely nice guy who continues to run a good operation. He seemed a bit overwhelmed at first. He jacked up their rates. This some repairs cost prohibitive. I held back on getting repairs done that I would have had done before just because of the higher repair costs. Then Bill retired shortly after Mario took over. Things were changing. The operation is still the best electronics repair shop I've dealt with in Greater Miami. I've had Reflections work on several guitar amps since Mario took over. The repairs were done right and on time. In each case Mario gave me an estimate of when to expect the repair and then called me personally to let me know when my item was ready. They have always been timely. I had one minor issue with one repair, but I trust Mario to be fair and work with me if ever there is a problem. He always has. This is the best, most reliable electronics repair shop I have found in Greater Miami. I'm sticking with them.

A nightmare. The first time I went there was to repair a guitar fx processor that wasn't working. After 3 weeks they told me it seemed fine and worked perfectly well. So I picked it up, brought it home (no charge) and it still didn't work. I called them up and someone else told me that they hadn't gotten around to working on it and didn't know why I had been called to come get it. A year later I brought in an Ibanez RG and their guitar tech had never seen a 7 string guitar before. He even asked me if it was some custom work. I wanted the intonation improved and changed so I could play downtuned to an A instead of a B. He said it would be a little problematic because that would mean tuning the G string to an F and guitar tuners only tune the notes "eadgbe". He told me this after I dropped it off and left, otherwise I would have told them nevermind. When I went to pick it up (3 weeks later) he showed me the tuner he was using. It was one of those plastic $15 ones they give away at guitar center whenever you spend $100 or more. He also did a lousy job. A few months later I took it somewhere else and they told me that the binding post looked cracked. Like someone had done poor work on it.

This operation is incompetent and highly unprofessional. I brought my GK 800 RB in to be repaired. They started by telling me that it would be finished in one week. Then I was told that my part hadn't come in yet, then I was told that it was some other problem. This went on for MONTHS! The problem was that the story over time kept changing. Apologies kept coming but nothing would materialize. Finally it got to a point where I was following up and given new dates only to find out that the dates would pass and no phone call to me was received. This went on for over a year!! Finally, I just gave up. I've never heard back from them. Even worse is that another friend of mine (one of Miami's finest bass players) brought an identical amp in to be fixed (GK 800RB of which they are supposed to be an authorized repair shop) and when he got his back the very same problem existed. In other words they did nothing! Be careful when you deal with this operation and if you do business with them make sure to protect yourself and your deposit!

If you seek the absolute worst customer experience look no further than Reflections. I left my electronics to get “appraised” after nearly a week without a call back about a price i call them to find out what seems to be the issue. The man tells me he’s almost done with one of my items and then for the first time tells me the prices to get the items fixed. He told me how much it would cost AFTER HE STARTED WORKING IN THEM. On top of that the prices he was trying to charge were ASTRONOMICAL. I have never felt so scammed in my life. After literally arguing with him he decided to “help me out” and cut the cost 75%. 75% less than what was “appraised” that should show you how INSANE the prices are. After 2 more months of calling in every other day they gave me back my tv broken and even more unusable than before. So I basically wasted 3 months for them to break my things. One star is far too high. Straight up criminals.

We Dropped Off Our Most Important Amplifier We Own Jointly...My Wife Is A Performer And I Play Guitar For Her At Churches And Other Gatherings...We Are Still Waiting For The Estimate For The Amp Servicing As We Are Also Waiting for them to receive the part needed, we expected it would take time to get any parts being most solid state parts are made in China. My Wife is from Colombia and liked the small shop aspect of Reflexions Electronic's Professionals...She said they look like a good group of people and i need to be patient and they will fix the Amp..She's a good judge of character so i trust her opinion...She uses the VOX AGA 150 More Than Me...So I Hope They Treat Her Fairly....She's Colombian And Loves That Amp. So When The Amp Is Back In Commission We Will Post A Follow Up Review. So Give These Guys A Try...They Are Busy Helping People...Ignore Any Negative Reviews 'If Any'...Lol.

The owner, Art is very attentive and professional, always. He definitely knows his stuff. He’s one of a handful of people I’ve found ‘in Florida’ that is familiar with and can work on my complicated, 40 year old, Phase Linear gear that nobody else seems to want to touch. He’s repaired and updated all my audio gear: A Phase Linear Dual 500, a Phase Linear 700II, a Phase Linear 300II, a Phase Linear 3500II preamp and a Carver 490t CD player. Everything has been working flawlessly and sounding spectacular since Art worked his magic on it. It’s tough to find a technician today who actually understands and works on high end gear, specially older high end gear. A technician who doesn’t merely replace entire circuit boards because he’s clueless of what may be the underlying issues. If you’ve got rare gear you treasure like I do, let Art do his magic on it.

I originally took my GK 800RB in for repairs 6 months ago (see the Miami Jazz 2011 post below). After countless delays and terrible communication I decided I was going to take action against them. I gave the owner notice. And posted the review below. A few days later I received a call and the owner was profusely apologizing for the delays and broken promises. He also said that he would work with me to make things right. That took great courage for him to say this to me so I decided to give him a chance to redeem himself. Then end result is that he made good on his word. I have a fully functioning GK 800 RB again and it works perfectly. I admit I was surprised but I am definitely impressed with the results even though it was delayed. His actions proved that Reflections Electronics is definitely worth giving a shot.

  • Adrian Gonzalez-Camps

Awful experience. Only giving two stars because they EVENTUALLY fixed my tube pre-amp. It took over two months to fix, and I had to visit over 5 times because the first time they told me it was fixed, I did not ask them to demonstrate and when I took it home it was still VERY broken. Then when I took it back they told me the $200 I paid (very expensive) somehow did not include the full repair of the unit because they “didn’t know what chip that is.” I had to call weekly to check in and put some pressure on them to work and the owner pretended to not know who I was every single time I called, even though I have spoken extensively with him in person and on the phone various times. Overall, terrible experience. Go see Omar at Browners instead. They are cheaper, quicker, and most importantly, honest.

  • Igor Z.

This repair shop is ridiculous. I brought them my JBL Charge 3 because it had some issues with the sound, payed them the for the estimate and in a about a week or so received a call from them saying that repair will cost almost as much as a new speaker so of course I refused to fix it and came back to pick it up. At home when I looked at the speaker I realized that they didn’t even know how to open that speaker and they simply ripped off the bottom panel. There’s a plenty of info on the internet how to do that. What to say about fixing it if they even were not able to Google and open it properly. And it was just a simple speaker, so what so say about more complex electronics. Definitely do not recommend them. Stay away from this “professionals”.

  • Eddie “Spagheddie”

The fella did a decent job with my Technics SA-424 Vintage Receiver. I explained how I was getting poor input connections. After $173 I got it back sounding correctly for the most part. At the moment I seem to be missing some highs from the right output. (Not my service request) It was kind of them to provide me with Speaker Cables. Sadly though they only inspected and fixed what I explained. Since there was an initial diagnostics fee of $35, I expected them to inspect the whole unit and acknowledge and offer to replace my power cord, since it is slightly burnt/melted at the socket end connection. Regardless I trust what work they did do. I will be returning to them for another vintage phonograph with specific instructions.

Don't do it! Keep scrolling and find another business. ☝️ These people will tell you what ever you want to hear but not the truth. They make excuses after excuses, they do not keep their word on dates of completion. Every time I call they say it will be done next week. 1 week became 50 days and parts were installed poorly and have to be redone. $470.00 to re-cone 2 speakers. The worst part is the attitude you get from the employees when you call. I found out I could have done more research on my end and bought 2 speakers professionally refurbished with warranty cheaper without the hassle. I only gave them 1 star because it will not post your comments until you at least give 1 star!

  • AwsiDooger

Very satisfied. Recommended. I had an unusual situation in wanting to switch from a motorized antenna to a fixed antenna in an older Infiniti. Seemed simple. But I tried 8 or 9 specialty stores in Miami and Orlando and was sent out the door each time. Everyone was stumped. Not until I was directed to Reflections did I find someone who understood the connections, wiring and soldering required. Within a day I had the necessary configuration and at a reasonable rate. I also received helpful advice in a positive tone. I saw others who were hauling in older electronics of every size and description who were treated the same way. If it's a dinosaur outfit we need more dinosaurs.

  • Michael Greenwood

Awful, absolutely awful. I took my amp here to have it fixed, got it back 2 weeks later with the same problem. I took it back to them, got it back 3 months later, yeah, 3 months, and it STILL had the same problem. Their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. I called countless times over the 3 month period, and all I hear was "ummmm I'll call you right back"!. Welp, I never was called back any of the 15 times they said they would. Ridiculous. I'm not even going to bother bringing it back for a 4th time. These guys clearly aren't a legitimate professional business, and I highly recommend you steer clear of these clowns.

I took my 1950's Grundig, Majestic console stereo to Reflections for repair. The radio was given to me and didn't work. I know Grundig back in the day was quality equipment so I decided to see if it was salvageable. The folks at Reflections had my Grundig for about a week and they called me and said that now everything works including the turntable! I saved a piece of history and have a nice old radio / piece of furniture in my office.... now I have to buy some records! I highly recommend Refelctions.... they do a great job at an amazing price.

  • Artur Timotheo

WOW!!! I found them by mistake through a simple google search...and now I couldn't be happier!!!! Very professional, customer focus oriented, and qualified electronics repair shop. I will never go anywhere else. It has a been a long time since I've experienced such a high level of service here in Miami. The place is a bit hard to find, but the pricing is super fair, the staff friendly, and in my opinion worth the drive for anyone in Miami-Dade. Keep up the good work Reflections Electronic Pros!!!!

  • Darr Keiger

I had an intermittent working Geneva speaker and called Reflections Electronics, they immediately picked up and asked for photos. After a quick back and forth chat, I dropped off the speaker and was given a very reasonable quote with an approximate time for pick up. They fixed (resoldered) the circuit board and called me back 1 hour earlier than scheduled and sent both area worked on and a picture of the part. Speaker works as new, maybe better. Highly recommend!

  • Ricardo D

I Took here my Yamaha Motif, which is my most precious keyboard (Production Synthesizer). Found them through Google, saw their rating, read the reviews ... So I checked for myself and YES they're great! They fix my Motif 6 at a very reasonable cost. To buy A new one (new version) costs more than $2,000 even the same one (used) is around $1,000... so I'm glad I could fix mine. Met Arturo who is a very nice person. Thank you very much!!!

  • Alejandro Tano

I had to pleasure using Art's electronic repair services. He was very professional and has a passion repairing all sorts of electronics. I had him repair some test hardware for my company. He deliver on time and he gave myself and my company a very fair price for his time repairing our hardware. Art is very ethical in the way he runs his business and strongly recommend him to anyone how needs any electronics repaired.

  • Peter Casas

I had brought a turntable in last minute and need help with some audio issues regarding my arm on my Stanton t.62.B. I did not have a lot of money on me, so the man working there was able to spare me a break and hook me up for what I had on me. It was same-day repair and I was able to get my turntable back no issues, with everything working crisp and great. I would definitely consider coming here again.

  • DjExes1 Marrero

My speaker was out of commission. I found these guys on Google just looking for a repair shop hoping to get lucky. Lucky enough I found this company. They were able to get my speaker back up and running in no time at all. Very professional. I will definitely use these guys again. Plus they also repair turn tables so they will be definitely getting more business from me in the near future.

  • Eric Wagner

I'm a gigging musician and have brought several pieces of equipment to Reflections for repair over the past few years (even before Mario took over). I've been very satisfied with the repairs and the customer service provided. Today, I picked up receiver that I had had repaired for friends. The communication, turn-around time, and repair provided by Reflections all were great.

  • Jack Firestone

What a find Art is. Had jammed my car CD player and was referred to Reflections Electronics. "Art is they only guy who can fix this." He did, on schedule, and for a fair price. But he also fixes all the historic electronic gear one could imagine, from old 4-channel reel-to-reel decks to laser disc players. If you want to keep it, Art can bring it back to life. Thank you Art.

  • E.R. Faxas

I was referred to Reflections Electronics by another music store. I took my Yamaha keyboard to Arturo (Art) because it had some sound issues. Art did a great job in fixing it. He charged me a very reasonable price and is a nice man to deal with. His sidekick (Chris) is also nice. I also had the pleasure of meeting their friendly cat Pacho. Thank you for a job well done.

  • Debbie

Just got my Harmon Kardon receiver back from repair. Reflection Electronics Professionals provided me with great customer service, speedy turnaround and excellent price. When everyone else turned me away, William took in my receiver with open arms. I highly recommend this establishment to all whom are looking for professional, organized and quality transaction.

  • olga castillo

After reading the reviews in here I was a bit skeptical about taking my instruments here, But. i must say they did a great job with my speakers. and have been back after that and never had any of the other problems people seem to write here. The owner is a Really Nice Gentleman. And I like the fact that they give a 30 day guarantee on all their work.

  • aundra johnson

Had my app for 3 week each week I call they say give the 3 days and each time I did call the tech was out then got mad with me because I was asking about my app. So now they say they can't fix it. So I pick my app up and took it to another shop they fixed it the every next day. It was just the ground side burn up.

  • Dale Goldspiel

The owner was very friendly and listened to my description of the problem with my stereo. 1 day later he called with a price which was agreed upon. When I went to pick up my unit a couple of days later it was not only fixed it was sparking clean and shiny. It is nice to visit a place that is proud of there work

  • Jeff Guitar Lessons

I highly recommend Reflections Electronic. They did a great job on my vintage guitar amp. A big plus is that both Mario's (they have the same name) are the most polite and service oriented people I have encountered in a repair shop. I will continue to use them for all my equipment maintenance and repair needs.

  • Pasquale Patullo

Arturo treats me respectly and professionally. Great guy! Tested and corrected issues with my twenty year old Yamaha speaker monitor. Belief me think through the pepper cord connection to my keyboard. Highly recommended! Moving to a largest facility in near future. So give him a call first for directions.

  • Jorge Casanova

Took A Mcintosh pre amplifier for repair of volume control. Charged me over $160.00 for the repair. Did not last but a few weeks before failing again. Decided to open and check myself and found a loose screw to volume shaft. I tightened screw myself. A $160.00 for a 5 minute fix that did not fix anything.

  • Cristy Cunningham

I Cracked the navigation screen in my car. Art was the only one in Miami that I found that would even look at it. He replaced my screen in a very short time, even working me in at the last minute. The car dealership told me this couldn’t be done, and he saved me thousands. Thank you! …
