Food was less than appetizing, it was cold, looked and tasted like it had been out all day, when asked how it worked because we hadn't been there before we were told to "Grab a tray and add whatever you want to eat" upon entering there were two separate menus, one that listed sides and prices next as if it meant for a la cart pricing and main dishes on the other menu with prices for the main dish which had meal next to some of the names, no sides were included in many but there was in some (which we ultimately didn't learn until looking at our receipt) which also showed we were rang up for an additional drink. We spoke with a fella about fixing it, I sis not get his name, he was kind and very helpful, also had a waiter who was very kind and heated our food as it was cold, he got refills and asked if there was anything we needed, he was great. So OVERALL the girl who greeted us could have been more helpful, the food was over priced, cold and sub par (however their chicken and their catfish were very good once they were warm) but the waiter and the people we asked for help we're very helpful and kind.

I always have a great experience here, the staff is always nice and welcoming. The food is almost always good, now I have had a couple of dishes that tasted like they have been sitting for a while. But for the most part the food is always fresh. I recently ordered the roast beef now I'm not sure if this was a mistake, but I received two large thick slices of roast beef. Now this is the first time I ordered it for delivery, and I'm not complaining, but when I go inside the roast beef usually comes sliced thinner and smaller pieces. Don't get me wrong either way it's delicious. I also ordered the mashed potatoes and lima beans,and a side salad. Potatoes were good. The lima beans were not bad, but could have used a little more seasonings. I always enjoy the salads. Overall I was pleased with my order. I will definitely order from this location again.

Had an early dinner last Saturday afternoon. It was a family get together and the restaurant had been contacted in advance of our arrival. The room wasn't ready when we got there, which really wasn't a problem. I had the roast beef, which sad to say, had no taste and plenty of fat. The stuffing and mashed potatoes were alright. Salad was fresh and crisp. The one thing I found very disappointing was from the time I got my food, went through checkout with no one in front of me and sat down, my food was cold. This leads me believe it wasn't very warm to begin with. Everyone that ordered the Strawberry dessert were very pleased. Our waitress "Day" was outstanding. Never had to call her over. It was like she was watching all of us to anticipate our next move!

When I first thought of taking food to a party I DID NOT think of a CAFETERIA. Well, I am a completely changed diner today because of MCL Cafeteria and Bakery and because of Jessica the Manager at MCL Cafeteria. My gosh, the food is not to be believed! The fried chicken is the best in town and their Chocolate cake is to die for. There were many compliments given at the party and I proudly said, "I DID NOT cook that chicken it came from MCL Cafeteria! There were several desserts too at the PitchIn but the MCL Chocolate Cake (reasonably priced) was GONE!! I am now a Raving Fan. From MCL's home-cooked food to their impeccable service and incredibly clean establishment with the best people in Food Service working there, thank you so much and we will see you soon for dinner. (Probably tonight)

Thoroughly disappointing lunch. I work only a mile away, but the food delivered was lukewarm at best and completely bland. (The driver was on time and had to actually wait for them to finish preparing the order so it wasn’t like it had been sitting on a counter for pickup for a long time and went cold) The chicken wasn’t fully cooked so my main entree went straight to the trash so all I had to eat was a side of flavorless mashed potatoes and gravy and about half a pecan pie because I couldn’t bing myself to finish it. The drink I ordered wasn’t given to the delivery driver so I can’t really give a review for that. Definitely never wasting a lunch break on this place again.

So, it's fall time and comfort food is a delight! Surprised at HOW MUCH I LIKED MCL CAFE...fresh and perfectly done food! I had the stuffed chicken breast, broccoli, and sweet carrots and WOW! All was amazing. On top of that, service was beyond excellent-- barely had sat down before a hosted stopped at the table with extra napkins and inquiring if she could get me anything else. :0 MCL is not "cheap food" but it's home cooked food that's FAST! Its cafeteria style that is spotlessly clean with fresh food. Btw, the desserts and rolls look beautiful...I can still here them calling my name . Note-My plate is a full size...I was starving...but you can get a smaller size plate that would be more of a lunch size.

Usually, I really like MCL for the most part. But this location cannot get their portions correct. I spent 18 dollars on food that did not fill me up all the way and the food itself was below average. I would describe my roast beef as a used up leather shoe that just got spit out of a vacuum cleaner. It was very dry and for 7 dollars I got one piece of it. The mac and cheese was a very strange consistency and was not creamy whatsoever. The best part of the meal was store bought bread. The workers were not very friendly and when I asked for something they didn't even try to find the solution. I will not be coming back to this location.

Always great food. My brother and I like to eat hearty. I got 2 pieces of chicken a burger patty covered with onionsac & cheese and green beans with an ice tea. He got a Ruben sandwich a burger patty covered with onions a tossed salad Mac & cheese cabbage and Kool aid. No bread no deserts. It came to 55.00 for 2 people. That's a lot of money ! It's hard to choose 1 favorite for a meal. We like getting 2 but with prices going up & up we may have to learn to hold it down or go somewhere cheaper. 5 stars except for the prices.

Fried chicken is tasty and crunchy the way it's supposed to be. Customer service is fantastic! Jasmine was my waitress--a real sweet young lady! There was actual excitement in the staff's voices as they greeted and served--so delightful! It made me want to eat more. I don't visit often because I end up spending too much, but on the occasion when I'm hungry for a hot cafeteria style meal, I'm glad to drop in. Giving a 4 because I tried the bread pudding and was sadly disappointed. It tasted like old bread attempting to be disguised as bread pudding.

Terrible food and way to over priced , I've seen way to many roaches dead and alive here , they cannot keep the bathrooms clean due to a lot of older people being here they don't check the restrooms properly so there will be feces all over the bathroom and toilet paper everywhere , they over work there servers and do not try to help and the main manager Jason is terrible he doesn't know anything about his position let alone the parties he books and he is very rude and mean to his underpaid servers and also has relations with his employees

Food is always good and dependable today I think I had the largest piece of Swiss steak I've ever had and the vegetable topping must have had at least a serving of carrots in it. I go there most every Sunday for the Swiss steak. I eat lots of vegetables and there are always more vegetables that I like then I can choose but it's nice to have a large selection to choose from the dining room help are normally friendly and prompt in anticipating what you might need or want or getting it when you ask for it which was again the case today.

I dont get it. People like this place, but the food is poorly made and not that cheap. Not a ton of flavor- pretty much inline with bland-ish hospital cafeteria food. The servings are not huge, either. My 12 year old kid, who will eat pretty much anything, when he's hungry, which he was, also didn't care for it. Honestly, if I want this level of food, I would prefer one of the better Golden Corrals, where at least I can change my mind or get seconds. I will not be back.

Unfortunately the quality has gone way down at this location. Decor and cleanliness need an upgrade. Too expensive for what it is. The egg custard was not set all the way so I couldn't finish the bottom portion. Employees on the line were arguing and swearing at each other. Although it seemed to be overly loud "playful" banter it was still inappropriate. Server was focused on a regular customer. Others had to keep getting her attention for their needs. I won't go back to this location but rather visit the one in Avon

Nice environment, the food could be priced cheaper for the quality of taste is not any different than a golden corral. For a vegetarian plate, which includes 3 vegetables or mac&cheese, mashed potatoes, veg. A chicken breast and mashed potatoes and gravy plus 2 drinks was 28.00 and that is extremely unreasonable

You have such wonderful choices. The line through will help build your appetite. Be careful with the choices, for there is a daily special and other delicious choices. The Choices you make could add a higher price to your bill. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask, for the employees there are beyond good help. They are helpful and truly excellent with helping you make good choices. An excellent place to go. TRY IT!!!

Hey everybody check out my two-piece chicken dinner for $19 can you believe it I would have walked out right away except I was hungry and I had no clue and there's people behind me beware of this place and the reason why it's so empty obviously is because of how they overcharge you. I didn't even purchase a drink so my meal would have been over $20 for a two piece chicken dinner at MCL terrible in this day and age with covid.

The food is good but cold by the time you get to the table. The salad girl needs to wear gloves, mask and stay off of her dirty cell phone. She told the couple in front of me the weirdest things about her personal life so refrain from asking her how she is, She will tell you about her whole night and stall the line. I never get charged the right pricing so I have to say, it's overpriced.

This MCL Cafeteria has always been great each time we've eaten there. Would definitely recommend! Very clean and great food.

Way overpriced won't be coming back. And the only person who seemed nice and welcoming in the line was the Hispanic lady at the salad bar. How can you serve someone 10 green beans and one tiny spoon of mashed potato for a full meal? And the roast beef was so thin. This meal was not worth the price at all.

HORRIBLE food. The only thing that was good was the dinner roll. I got the roast beef and it was so dry and over cooked it was inedible. The edges of my roast beef were burnt and rock hard. I wish I could get my money back because I couldn't even eat my meal except the dinner roll.

The quality of food was really good. It had a good location close to the road. The more food you pick out the higher your bill will be. It has a nice peaceful environment though. Their deserts are really good. They have fresh fruits and big filling salads.

Have been going to MCL since I was a kid with my grandparents. They have one of the best beef Manhattan sandwiches I've ever had in my life and the strawberry shortcake is always the perfect desert.
