I get mine and my son's hair cut here every time we need them. The prices are very good and the skills of their stylists are top notch. Very friendly. Went again and nothing has changed. Went again for probably my 20th haircut there. So I like it. If you're looking for a new place to get yours cut, you could try it and see if it works for you. I'm a little hesitant to leave a bad review because I have received great service here in the past. But I went again today for haircuts for my son and I and got the impression that we happened to go on a day when new stylists were being trained as the owner had to coach both our stylists in what and how to cut our hair. I understand that it can be hard to retain good stylists and turn over may be high but would hope everyone would already have the skills at that point or customer told in advance that they are new at this. I may have decided to come back another day but to pay full price to be a guinea pig seems off to me. Then to top it off I was sat down in chair that had some hairdye on the back rest which stained my shirt. The only solution for this I was offered was washing instructions and a slightly hostile "want us to buy you a new shirt?" They still have what I think is a good price for a basic haircut at $20 but I will not be returning, if not only for some sort of compensation for my ruined t shirt depending on the outcome of trying to wash it.

During my time at MK, I've seen the evolution of business-owner responses. While initially businesses used to be grateful for the honest direct-from-consumer feedback, and some became savvy enough where they offered a discount or personal attention to incentivize bringing you back for a second opinion. This place is the opposite. The owner can't speak English or spell properly! This angry little indian business-owner considers it his right to threaten everyone with a bad review and say we don't have the right to give them bad reviews. Shouldn't he be spending time improving rather than threatening!? Don't waste your time with a little man with a big mouth!

Before blaming someone else, try improving the quality of your work. I got my beard done in Calgary for a much lower price and very good quality. I only came here because a friend of mine referred me. Otherwise, I prefer Calgary. If you’d like, I can send you photos between the difference of work between you and the salon in Calgary. It is also not necessary to reply rudely to anyone who doesn’t like the service you provide. Instead, try using their feedback to improve your services. The only nice person at the salon was the receptionist.

Have been getting my eyebrows done at MK for years. They have a fun & bright environment with upbeat music. Have always been treated with respect and their prices are affordable (more so than mall prices!!) Support local business and celebrate culture! They have cameras so feel safe and will continue to support a business that has been operating for almost 2 decades! Blessings for a Beautiful New Year! Go get a pamper day with MK Salon!

Buddy messed up my beard sooooo bad! Its been 2 months and its still not back to how it was and I regret goin to this place. I read your reply and you absolutely have no decency on how to respond to a customer who had a bad experience with you. You see I’m a local guide with google? it’s for a reason! If you think I’m speaking wrongly I can come show you what went wrong. Please be respectful on how you talk to your customers.

The lady doesn't know how to cut the hair, on top of that they need to be more polite with their customers. The owner of the salon was very rude to me and my friend. I used to go to mikey hair salon on portage, but since this place is close to my house I thought I'll visit and check it out. Don't go there guys. Its better to go someplace else pay extra and get the job done by professionals.

Stopped in here for a quick haircut for the boy. The owner's daughter must still be in training as they gave him such a bad haircut he looked like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber. It was only 15 bucks but he had to endure getting ribbed by his friends at school for a few weeks. If you go here, make sure you ask for somebody experienced.

Worst customer service. My fade didn’t match, I told lady to stop, don’t cut my hairs please. They start yelling. Even, guy(cashier and owner ) told me to call police for me . Disgusting service. If anyone thinks, I’m lying, then they can see the reply from owner on reviews. Don’t go there.

It's an okay place. Normally what I see is that the hair dresser has their own set of clippers, shavers, etc. This place, they share it all. Looks like a high end place to get a cut, but it's not. I'm not hating on them..they do a decent job, good enough I'm willing to go back and another 15 bucks cut.

I have been coming here for a haircut for a number of years now and they always make me feel very welcome. They do an incredible job. The owners are fabulous very nice people as are all the staff here very nice they do a wonderful job and it’s done at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

i went in for an eyebrow threading & tint. The lady was very rough. It was very painful with the way she threaded. My eyelids are still sore and there is scratches above my eye, and there was no apology at all. Very unprofessional, I've been to many places before and this is by far the worst.

Ms. Kulbir is the best hairstylist ever!! She is a genious at cutting hair. She's friendly and extremely talented. The haircuts are fast and perfect! So happy to have found her.Awesome cut.. reasonable price and super awesome experience .. way better than any other salons i have ever visited.

Worst haircut of my life! By far! She was done in under 5 minutes. I'm actually going to get it fixed later this week somewhere else. Next to nothing was taken off the top - the end result looks ridiculous. NEVER AGIAN! Do a better job myself. 1st time in my life I didn't leave a tip.

I have been seeing Kay for years now. Kay is always very polite, professional and does a great job. Kay and her staff always go above and beyond. Their prices are great!!!!! I always have a great experience at MK Salon. I highly recommend this salon to everyone!!!!

These people will pretend they’re nice until you have an issue with your cut, then they start bullying and attacking you (including children) claiming you’re the problem. Do not expose yourself or your children to this terrible establishment.

Excellent place for threading, kids hair cut and hair treatment. I've had my hair cut and colored by Kulbir .I always love the experience .The final look , It's even better than I expected!I will for sure be coming back. Highly recommend.
