Absolutely amazing!! Staff was very nice and answered all our questions with a lot of details, he knew his stuff! The museum itself was very interesting and well put together and I learned a lot without feeling like it was over-educational. It was very quiet and my group and I were the only ones there, a nice difference from the usual hustle and bustle of museums. There were some pieces that were so cool to see and totally unexpected gems! Lovely experience and I totally recommend you check it out if you’re in the area! I’d even go again if I lived nearby but unfortunately I was on vacation from out of the country :( Side note: uber seems to take their drivers to the back of the building, so if you get taken to what looks like the wrong place, just walk around to the front!

I had never heard of this place, but my dad is a CARP member and mentioned wanting to go here. What a fascinating collection they have, stepping back in time. The museum is in the heart of Liberty Village, so it's accessible by transit, or there is street parking nearby. Although the museum itself is only one large room, we easily spent a couple of hours in there. There is a guided tour you can take on your phone that explains everything. But you can also just read the placards they have, as there is a lot of detail. The collection is displayed beautifully, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We signed up for the mailing list as I understand that they have a ton of stuff that's still in storage. They set up other exhibits and change things around once in awhile, so I'd love to see what else they have!

Discovered MZTV's existence just earlier this week online. Had a terrific time visiting this afternoon. It is truly a stupendously great place to visit if looking for a comprehensive exploration of the development of the phenomena of television from the 1920s to the 1970s. The hall is laid out with a series of chronological displays of artefacts that meticulously detail the development of television as a technological and cultural revolution. Really, really well done. The free app truly adds to the experience too and makes it easier to engage and navigate the hall.. A special thank you to the gentlemen I met who over oversee the hall. Really welcoming and engaging. Truly hope that Moses's collection can be expanded and more of it seen in future.

Amazing place. I am surprised that I did not hear about it before. I went during Toronto Doors Open and was so impressed by the vast collection of the televisions, especially some very rare ones. The place is well organized and staff is super nice and I can tell they are proud of this place, and you can even have an experience of airing real-time on TV which I did and was really fun. It is definitely a place worth visiting whether you are visiting Toronto or if you are a local.

Immensely enjoyed the exhibits. It's quite a large collection of vintage TVs over the years including the original TV from the World Fair before WWII. Very well curated displays and a fantastic app you install on your phone to give you a personal tour of the exhibits. I easily spent a couple hours here. When we attended we were fortunate to receive a guided tour from the museum director who even hooked up a vintage TV and showed us the landing on the moon as seen back in 69. Highly recommended for technology history buffs.

A really great place with one of a kind exhibits. Very interesting if you want to learn about the history of television. They also offer an app which gives additional information about the exhibits and is available in different languages. I even got a personal tour by the staff. The museum is made up of one huge room where you go around in a circle, this may sound small but I spent nearly two hours there. And the 10 dollars a ticket was definitely worth it. -enthusiastic, helpful staff -Great exhibits -good price

Incredible collection of television history. As a bit of a history buff, I love to learn about the past, and my expectations were exceeded. It was fascinating to not only dive into the history of these pioneering inventors, but also actually see all of these antique televisions. It's wonderful that this technology has been preserved and passionate people are working to inform the public all about it. Highly recommend.

Absolutely worth it to see this large collection of old Televisions. Lots of potentials it can be settled in a much bigger place. Over 90% of old televisions are still in working condition. Staffs are super nice and and friendly they answered all our questions also there is a mobile app with voice and videos of every section. Recommend it to everyone to see this fantastic collection.

It is a really nice collection of old TVs dating back to the 1920's when it was a "mechanical TV". Don't know what that is? Check it out at this museum. It is a single room, but I did manage to spend 2 hours there looking at all the TV's and reading the labels. They have an MZTV app that gives some audio commentary to the exhibits. It is worth going to if you enjoy history of things.

Really cute museum. Quite small but interesting and there is nothing quite like it in Toronto. Cool that its in zoomerplex as well. Trippy kinda like a trip through time. I also love that speakers corner is there for you to have the nostalgia factor. Would definitely visit with out of towners. Seems like a place that would be on atlas obscura.

Extremely impressive museum. Limited hours, but good value and we received a guided tour. It's only one room but there is a large collection housed with some very impressive items including the "most valuable television in the world" which they even turned on and let us watch! Highly recommend, one of my favorite museums in a while.

For $10, it’s pretty wicked to just get to see the technology that went behind something we don’t think twice about how it all works! A solid hour just to browse through the largest collection of retro TVs.

A wonderful museum and collection. The museum has almost everything you could think of from the earliest days of television. Its neat that Toronto has such a unique museum with an extremely rare collection on television that can't be found anywhere else in the world

It's not a museum so much as an exhibit but enjoyable nonetheless. They are expanding the collection mid October however. Good if you're a fan of t.v. and its history. Plus the guy that was running it had a deep level of knowledge about the collection.

  • Delna Bharucha

It's an amazing collection and comprehensive history of television. The collection spans such a lengthy time period, taking in so many countries. The multimedia presentations were interesting. All the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

It's not a large museum, but they pack a lot of really interesting history into one room. The staff was great and even gave us a bit of a behind-the-scenes tour of a show they were shooting that day.
