Update to our initial review: the general manager from this dealership (Mac Haiks Southway Ford) reached out after our post and asked what he could do to make things “right” and receive a better review from us. We shared that we really wanted their dealership to do a better job of treating customers, but when he offered to send us something, we said we would like to have a bed cover, he said he’d get that in the mail to us the next day. He also stated that Ford would be sending us a new survey to fill out. That was 3 weeks ago. We have not received the bed cover, a survey from Ford or any other communication. In my mind this is actually worse than our purchase experience. The dealership knows they did not do a good job, they reached out, but there was no follow through. So unprofessional and disappointing! We have been long time Ford purchasers, but no more! While our salesman, tried to take care of us; unfortunately the management team at the dealership was not supportive of him, or considerate of us. We had been looking for this truck for months and were delighted when we called and the salesman said he would take care of us. (on a side note, when we initially called we asked specifically for fleet sales and he said he was with fleet, even though later we learned he was not - it ended up being ok). The salesman stayed on top of the arrival of the truck and updated us daily. We offered to put a deposit down to hold the truck since we live 5 hours away and did not want to risk loosing the opportunity, but were told that was not legal. 5 days later, we get a call from the dealership that they wanted us to send a check in for the deposit. But at this point the salesman said the truck was probably arriving at the dealership over Labor Day weekend, so we thought the check would not arrive prior to us getting down there. When the truck was finally at the dealership we quickly purchased plane tickets and got our things in order to hurry down to get it. At this point we were told we had to prove that we were actually flying down as they had another couple looking to buy it! So we had to send flight confirmation to them as he said they've had people lie to them before! After texting/talking to this salesman daily for about 2 weeks, truly to be treated this way was insulting! During multiple conversations the salesman told us a business check would be fine, but the finance manager (an hour before we left for the airport) said we actually had to bring a cashiers check. So we jumped through hoops to get everything in order to get this truck. The salesman was considerate and came to pick us up at the airport and had the truck upfront ready for us. Sadly, no member of management bothered to even greet us at the dealership. We were purchasing a truck for over $90,000 and felt like we were at a used car dealership. We were told this dealership is not use to having these expensive sales, which, in my mind, should mean that you would go out of your way to make the customer feel special, or at least like we mattered, but we felt like they couldn't get us out the door quickly enough. There was another customer sitting near us that just purchased a used car and they were told that because the dealership appreciated their business they were even throwing in a spray in bed liner. I actually asked the salesman what he was he was going to "throw" in for us. And he kind-of chuckled, but I said, truly, something little like that would make me feel great - maybe even a small item from your "Ford store", but he told me it was closed already for the night.

While I read great reviews about the sales, my complaints are with the service Dept. I originally took my vehicle in on July 12th, 2022 and was advised by the advisor, Alex, that it could take a few weeks to look at, but they would get back with me as soon as possible. I patiently waited for over two weeks, but after the third week, I called and left several voice mails, but no returned call. On August 13th I drove to the dealership and when I asked about my repair status, the tech said he thought my car had been returned and that was the reason why he didn’t follow up with me, he went to the back and apologized and said he would have some status update in a few hours, to which he finally called back. Do old me that o would be responsible for the labor costs and he would let me know the prices on Monday. I called back and questioned why I would be charged when I was still under the Ford bumper to bumper warranty. He reviewed the mileage and year and corrected himself, but I feel he should have checked that before trying to give me any type of cost, to be sure what he was quoting was correct. He then told me he would call Monday with the update, but called on a Wednesday, and then never got any updates. I would call and leave voicemails on both numbers listed on his business card, but would never get a call back. Finally I reached out to several managers from the service department and customer relations, but no one would call back. The friendliest most helpful person was the receptionist who walked over a message to a customer relations manager who looked into the issue and said she would follow up. They said a machine used to measure the Freon was broken and without that machine, they were responsible for the cost, but as I relayed to them, it didn’t concern me as I was having to pay 2 months for a car I couldn’t use, and this machine had not be broken for the 5 1/2 weeks they had my car. I received one more call telling me that the car would be done no later than Friday August 26th, but they would call back. Never got a call, even after leaving more voicemails with the customer relations person, Brenda, and messages to Alex, I didn’t get any calls so I drove back to the dealership. I asked Alex for an update and he said it would be sometime that day, but he couldn’t say when. Got a call 2 hours later, that it was ready, but when I got there, I inspected the car and the under carriage cover and some screws were sitting in the trunk. This has been the worst experience with any repair I have ever dealt with. I will share my experience with everyone and I would never recommend using this dealership for any repair work. Seven weeks and 3 days of frustration and annoyance for a warranty issue seems excessive and their refusal to give updates to the customer are inexcusable. A simple call back and follow up would have left a better impression of your dealership.

Update: 10-02-21 Compared to past experiences, this was the most excellent experience In buying a vehicle for both my wife and I. It all started with great service and attention to detail from our long time contact at Maik Haik Ford, Rocky Sanchez. Along with Rocky's assistance there was a great signing process to date compared from just two years ago. It is so efficient, my wife and I both had vehicles in about 4 hours (Compared to all day and into the next day for one vehicle in past experiences before). The new contract process with its new technology additions kept things flowing so well it translated into a great experience in addition to the main event - Diriving Off The Lot With A New Vehicle Of Our Own. I usually have a good experience here. I had a scheduled recall appointment and took my bronco sport in. The man at the check out was nice but became the root of my issue. At check in, I stated that I wanted to have my oil change and tire rotation completed that same day, because I was due. The employee nodded his head yes, while continuing looking down at the computer. I then felt like he wasn’t really listening or paying attention to me. So then I asked, “Do you think it’ll take all day? Especially since I’m getting the oil change and tire rotation?” he nodded his head again, so I thought he had to have got it that time. But no. I got a ride home and then a call later that afternoon that my car was able to be delivered. Which I loved being able to have the delivery option because it saved me from having to get a ride over to the dealership. My car was delivered about 10 minutes before I got home. When reviewing the form stating everything that was completed on my car. The oil change and tire rotation were not completed. So I had to call the dealership and let them know it wasn’t completed and was transferred to the man that checked me in. He then stated that he didn’t remember me requesting the services. I was very upset that we had to reschedule another day to take the car back in. My husband and I had to move our schedules around and it was very frustrating and inconvenient. On top of that, gas is very expensive these days and I had to waste my time and gas going back and forth. I would appreciate a response. Thank you.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I've bought 3 trucks from Southway Ford over the years and this will probably be my last after this experience with their service. The radio went out on a 10 month old truck and I was talking to them about dropping it off when a couple days later the battery was dead. Ronald Nagy was my service rep and he said the truck should be ready by the end of the week, 10 days later it hadn't been touched so I went and picked it up. They had replaced the battery but said it went dead for some random reason and they didn't bother to test to see why. They did finally perform the diagnostics on it to figure the radio problem shortly before I arrived to pick it up but when asked how long it would take to fix it he only shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know. Through the conversation he lied to me repeatedly and when I pointed that out he tried to suggest the warranty problems were my fault and they were going out of their way to fix them. The service manager did apologize but in the end I came away from this experience realizing it was only lip service and they didn't care and would continue to treat customers that way going forwards. I went to another dealership who took care of the problem in a few hours and confirmed all of the issues were related to the one underlying problem which Southway had failed to diagnose.

Worst service ever. I purchase veh here took it here for service advised of issues last year then this year the shift differential falls out veh been there since July didn't get update on repairs til September then due to parts & recall was told was going to be charged for new battery because mine died outnwell of course a veh battery will die out from just sitting there not being worked on. Then today Ron tells me he waive it me thinking he was understanding & well what do I get when I pick up Vehicle my rear right tire is at 19% & the vehicles dies in middle of street luckily no one hit me from behind a gentleman pulls over to help me & wow the battery wires weren't on veh they weren't tied down correctly and the compartment wasn't closed correctly . All in all service & length of time it took was ridiculous. I do not recommend this shop & Ron the service manager was fake "to tell a customer did u have issues with transmission I said I did mention some things he said ok just making sure I got the right part on the right vehicle." I also made a claim with Ford due to the length & process well that didn't help either. Since July til December is when ingot my truck!! Now if my tire falls off we know why because they didn't put it on right! Like my battery! Inwould put 0 stars for this company!!

Always a 5 STAR experience with everyone here at Mac Haik's Southway Ford!! I've been a customer here for over 20 years and now buying vehicles as a family since our son is now old enough to drive. From the showroom floor, whether in the new or used vehicle department, to any other department involving customer service, you can be rest assured that you will be taken care of. Customer service is always the best and now with Ms. Brenda Reyes taking over the reigns in the Customer Service Department it just got even better exponentially. Rest assured Ms. Reyes is very customer service oriented and will jump in at a moments notice to assist with any customer concern or employee compliment. There was a very minor snafu on my original service date and she did not hesitate to step in and offer the usual Southway Ford guaranteed response with a satisfactory resolution. Thank you Ms. Reyes for all you do in your new role. Always thankful for being given great customer service. Respectfully, Joseph Montez and family.

Came in for an oil & filter change and to have the Tire Sensor Fault alert checked. I told the service advisor I could Only pay for the Oil & Filter change on this trip. My vehicle was placed in the bay almost immediately as several bays were open and the oil & filter change was cared for quickly. The TPMS sensor was identified and I was notified fairly quickly. Then came an unexpected delay. Some time went by so I went and checked on my vehicle and noticed it was still in the bay unattended. Several more minutes later my vehicle is being removed from the bay and taken to a parking spot as usual. Again Several more minutes went by before I decided to approach the service counter there I noticed my paperwork was sitting. I asked a different service advisor about it. He couldn’t locate the discount business card in the pouch nor around the counter area. After several more minutes we both saw the original service advisor approaching who I had given the card to who proceeded to do the check out.

I understand it is the nature of a salesman to take advantage of ignorance, it is how they make their money. My review might reflect my own ignorance, but if it helps someone in a similar position protect themselves, I have an obligation to share. I made the decision to check out a vehicle on my birthday, mistake number one. I made the mistake of trusting the salesman, Rocky, to treat me as a human rather than a dollar sign. I made the mistake of believing him when he said they'd run ONE hard inquiry on my credit. Because of Southway Ford, and their 14 hard inquiries, my credit score dropped a staggering 17 points, effectively undoing two years of hard work, diligent payments, and frugality, for seemingly no reason but to ensure if I didn't purchase through them right then and there, I'd have a harder time qualifying elsewhere in the near future. Vultures, the whole lot of them. Protect yourself, get pre qualified, and don't share an ounce of personal information with these people.

Purchased a ford here last year, breaks went bad within 50k miles they said they had to replace front breaks and I had it done paid around 1500 two weeks later my rear breaks went bad had to take back wasted more time since I had to take back second time they could have had change all of them at once, than oil light came on, took it and ordered oil change and tire rotation and balance, they did it… as soon as I got on my truck steering wheel shaking really bad. They just like to work half a$$$ and expect you to take your truck back a few times before they can fix the problem, time is money and it’s something I don’t have specially when they could have had it done right to begin with. I can be here writing all night about all they did me wrong but just moving on taking truck to have tire rotation and balance again and have to pay again but at least now taking it to discount tire. Hopefully they doit right not like Southway ford and service

Service/ Parts gave me the runaround. I had a recall on my car something to do with the fuel pump that it could leak and potentially catch fire. As something this urgent their only response was that they can schedule me to fix the problem in December. It’s currently August. So they were okay with letting me wait 4 months with a hazard vehicle. Or they gave me an option to leave my car sitting in the shop for a week plus and that wasn’t a guarantee that it would be ready for pick-up. I suggested if they could order the recall part then call me to schedule when I could come in. Not to leave my car in the shop for a “we’ll see when we get to it”. This is not acceptable. And unrealistic to leave a person without a car to get around to work. I ended up going to northside ford and they checked to see if they had the parts and fixed the problem the same day and even offered me a ride. If you need something done I recommend northside ford.

Bought a truck this past weekend from Mac Haik. We arrived at the dealership at 9am Saturday morning. We got there early so we could get things done and not be there all day. We found a truck we liked and realized it had a tire light on when we went to test drive. When we started working on the financing, we asked that the tire be looked at while we were signing papers so that it would be ready to go when financing was done. We got told multiple different stories after that regarding the tire and ended up spending ALL day there. 9-5:30. They did ended up replacing all 4 tires for us with what was supposed to be new tires. They were not new and we discovered later that they weren't even the right size tires for the truck. Out of the last 4-5 vehicles we have bought, this was by far the WORST car buying experience ever. Definitely will not be back and will not recommend to anyone.

What can I say? This place has the best customer service when it comes to fixing your car I had my car at red McCombs Ford for three days straight. They could not They would refuse to fix my issue blaming me for things that were out of my hands I even created a Ford case against them, but this place I should’ve brought my truck here the the first time I originally bought my truck from them ! but Ford red McCombs was closest to me so I took it there originally I was thinking I wasn’t gonna get my car back from them for several days but no they went above and beyond and they got my truck fixed they installed all software updates that weren’t updating and installing the same day and I got my car back today!!! the same day and everything is working perfectly!! Thank you for taking the time and taking care of my truck and fixing the issue the same day you have a customer for life!

Truly dissatisfied with the service of this dealership! 1. Paid 6k more than the value of the truck was worth! 2. Drove 2 hours to purchase a truck that wasn’t ready to be sold! 3. Sales rep continued to leave the table to talk with the sales manger and consistently left us at the table waiting. 4. I was hassled to get in contact with my bank because their finance manger went on vacation and didn’t fill out the paperwork. They dealership didn’t do what was required to receive electronic payment not my bank ‍♂️ 5. I told the sales rep I didn’t want to take a picture and he was very persistent that I take one! 6. I never want to experience this again and hope Ford can find a new approach to customers before I switch to Dodge! PS I love my truck though! So I’ll give you an extra star!

Took my vehicle in to get checked out and I had the pleasure of meeting Brenda who was with me from the beginning to the end, assisted in getting a rental after calling around and getting nowhere she jumped on and get me a vehicle which was great! Jeff in the service dept took my vehicle for a spin to help describe the noise that was going on and was very professional as well as Jason who assisted with knowing where my vehicle was at all times and that all helped in getting my vehicle done as soon as they could so I wasn’t stuck with the rental for a long time. Thank you guys for everything! Also the guy who drove me in the shuttle to the rental place, can’t remember his name but he drove safely and I got there in one piece despite the crazy San Antonio traffic.

Tried to schedule a service appointment for my 2022 F250. Engine light came on. Person informed me he didn't think they could fix it so for some reason he transferred me to warranty department. The rude person at warranty wanted to know why I called his department. I explained his service department transferred me to his. He transfers me back to service but hangs up on me instead. I call service and talk to yet another rude person by the name of Ron. He informs me they don't schedule appointments and to just drop it off. He informs me it will take 7 to 10 days for them to look at it. They were all smiles when I bought the truck but god forbid if you need service. My advise to you is this. Buy you vehicle anywhere else but Southway ford! Jordan Ford here I come!

I just had an absolutely terrible experience in their parts department. I was looking for a specific part that they didn't have anywhere except for at this location. I drove from New Braunfels to this location because they had the part here. When I get here they wanted to charge me 50% more for the part than they were going to charge me at Bluebonnet Ford in New braunfels. So I called Bluebonnet in New Braunfels and asked them to call this place and ask them to honor the price. So Bluebonnet called and I could hear the guy on the phone being rude to Bluebonnet. And then he told me that he's not going to honor the price that Bluebonnet gave me and I could pay what they want to charge for it. So I left and I will never go back to this place again.

Very bad experience with this dealership, joe Gonzalez was our sale person and was never around , I texted him to ask the price of a truck and told me a sales price. I confirmed sales price 5 times and was t to see 3 hours till they said they made a mistake and was gonna be 6,000 more than we had agreed. The customer service was very poor and they said if I didn’t want to buy to go somewhere else . Being a person with good credit and a good down payment I would have expected different. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who is in the right mind to get a car or truck . Worse t experience ever and I’ve had multiple vehicles . BE AWARE!!! Zero stars - rating in the whole team had to put one star to post but in reality no stars — stars

Surprised to see some of the reviews here. I understand everyone has their own experiences but I don’t have any complaints about Jose or the service team. I actually live pretty far from the dealership and can take my car to be serviced anywhere but I prefer to bring my car here and purchase my cars here. I’ve purchased my second brand new vehicle from Jose and he always made it super simple. Never felt like he was being a salesman. I told him what I was looking for and wanted and he made it happen.. Both times I was in and out. I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends and will buy my next vehicle from him again. If you want an easy no hassle car buying experience, call Jose!! I love my 2024 mustang ❤️

Bought a used truck. Had trouble hooking up the FordPass App. Truck wouldn’t connect. Salesman says “it will take a while. On the drive home it will connect”. Next few days tried getting a hold of salesman. Wouldn’t answer. Call the finance debt. They had the salesman call me. And tell me to bring it in. He couldn’t get it to work either. Then says bring it first thing in the morning. The modem seems out of wack and they would try to reset it. I bring it in and they say it doesn’t work like that. I have to drop it off. They have it about a week. AND THEN they will run diagnostics. Horrible customer service. I just wanted the app to work. Can’t imagine the run around I’d get if it was something mechanical.

Called to schedule an appointment for a oil change and the service guy said there was no appointment needed. There was a 45 minutes to hour wait. When i arrived they said it was a hour wait. 2 1/2 hours later I asked how much longer. The guy couldn’t even answer me and said it should be coming out. 3 1/2 hours passed my truck hadn’t been done and 3 people I front of me had already gotten their vehicles back. 4 hours I looked through the window they were barely putting my truck in. All the guy had to say was oh we fell behind. I arrived at 12:35pm and left at 4:55 pm. The guy had nothing to say when I asked how did the other 3 people that came after me get their vehicles before me.

I don’t know we’re to start they don’t deserve not even 1 star it’s been a nightmare for the last 3 weeks going on 4, service department it’s the worst I ever experienced my wife’s truck has been in for a problem with the suspension and it’s always the same thing I’m sorry sir we thought this part was it but now we know what it is, then there goes my wife to finally pick her truck and again the car it’s falling a part I’m just letting people know don’t go to this dealership not for service and not for business because at the end if that’s how they handle service I can only imagine the rest of the departments, you guys disappointed me really bad

Good sales men, unfortunately I can't say the same about the warranty/recalls department...the first time I went there was a tall thin white man with tattoos on arms who really showed you with his attitude that he didn't care if you went to just change the oil or if you spent sixty thousand in this establishment the day before; The second time I had the need to stop there, Richard attended to me, very kind and attentive, by the way, after the first encounter with this department, I did not expect this attention...I hope Richard stays for good and the other infamous one, well send him to vacuum the carpets or elsewhere ‍♂️

I am loving my 2023 Maverick!!! Our overall buying experience with Southway Ford was exceptional. The process was pleasant, quick and easy; Our salesman, Amado Carrasco, and our finance officer, Esteban, did all the work for us. They secured the financing at the lowest possible rate for me thus saving me the hassle of doing it myself. I signed the contract while my vehicle was being made ready and I drove my new vehicle off the lot in a short period of time. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Purchased a 2014 Ford F-150 platinum 4x4 with 58k miles on it that the sales man assured me the truck had been gone through and was good to go because it had a green tag in it. They hooked me up with new tires which was great but besides the dealership changing the engine oil, air filter nothing, and topping off the radiator fluid nothing had been checked. Here are pictures of transmission fluid, transfer case oil, front diff oil, rear diff oil , spark plugs, and throttle body. Make sure you get the next major mileage service negotiated into you deal. The sales man Rocky was real legit though.

I am impressed with this new service that is offered to service vehicles while you work or have errands to run! Jayci picked up my car on time and was so sweet! Also you get notifications when your car is picked up and you can track your car so that you can be alert for arrival to the dealership! Once it's on the way back you also get a phone call & another notification for your car leaving the dealership in case you would like to track it. It was so convenient & if you have lots of errands or have to go to work I strongly recommend this service! I will be using them in the future!

Salesman over the phone said the price range that I wanted was definitely do-able, but once I got there the truck was 50% over MSRP that wasn’t listed on the window sticker online nor was it mentioned over the phone and the monthly payment was 45% more than what we talked about. The manager came and “lowered” the vehicle price but increased all other pricing in the quote, making the total price exactly the same as before but just with a different look. Wasted my time here and will never come back to buy here after what they tried to pull. Worst experience I had at a dealership.

Just finished speaking with Brenda in service. I have a 2019 F150 and i have a maintenance plan that is honored at all Ford dealerships. But not at Mac Haiks.... she didnt even bother to look at my account and said I should use my points. I told her I never use my points. She said that I should go to the original dealer I bought my truck from. Ya know what, I will since the service is so horrible at this dealer. I need to drive 25 mile further but at least there is a lot more respect and better service at Jordan Ford. Thank you Brenda in service for your suggestion!

Purchased a 2020 Ford escape. With it being a newer vehicle I figured I wouldn’t have bad problems I would need to fix so soon. -Two Recalls on the vehicle I drive my daughter in. -Cannot change brakes on own, have to take it to the Ford dealership so they can charge an arm and a leg. - Now AC compressor gave out. A brand new 2020 AC compressor went out. In order for them to just LOOK at it it’ll be 4-5 days. I never had this much problems with my Toyota and it was a junker car. Do better FORD. Highly recommend any other company besides FORD.

Do not buy a car from here! Their policy makes their vehicle warranty obsolete. So when you take your vehicle to get serviced they typically cannot see or service your vehicle for 7-14 days. That's just to diagnose it! They usually say an excuse like a machine is unavailable or being used somewhere else or something then push you to try and buy a new vehicle offering you below market value for your trade in. When we asked for a loaner car they said they are all checked out and NEVER have one available. Save yourself the frustration.

This is the second time I have had the service department leave grease on my vehicle. The first time I just cleaned it and chalked it up to forgetfulness. The second time I had to delay my vacation trip so it could be cleaned by the service department. The additional trip back to the Quick Lane was more than I customers should have to bear with. I am meticulous when it comes to the cleanliness of my vehicles and I would expect much more from Ford. I have been a life long Ford owner and this is the first time I have had any issues.

The customer service provided was exceptional. I received the time frame in which my vehicle would be ready, and my vehicle was ready prior to the time given. Only "issue" I had, if you want to say it was an issue was... I guess I'm accustomed to the service dept recommending other services needed for my vehicle. This is the first time I was not informed of any additional services needed, which I found strange. Again, not sure if this is truly an issue.

Went in to build a 2023 ford Bronco before the order banks opened on 3/27 and Vinny has been helpful and professional in every step of the process. He periodically gave updates as they came in and also gave time to answer any questions I had even on the days he was off. I got a New ford bronco 0 miles and im having alot of issues with the truck is really nice but the transmission dont work well i take first time to do and oul change and they keep it because the water pump was leaking after i got it back the transmission start doing noises and diente work well i take back and they "replace" something in the transmission got it back 1 week ago and still doing the same an is only 12k miles dont get broncos

Worst Ford service shop my family has experienced. Brought in our Ford Eco to get serviced, which had all original parts including the Eco sport motor cover and left without it. Our eco sport now looks like it’s a used vehicle which would be no problem if it was a used vehicle BUT it’s not! Don’t bring your vehicle here unless you plan to spend the day shadowing the mechanics to make sure your vehicle is safe!

Instead of taking responsibility when I checked him wants to blame his problems on me for his lack of responding. Highly recommend! My car’s battery died, and their high reviews lured me in. Went for a battery replacement. Not only did they replace my battery, they also found what was draining it and fixed it! The issue was a mod I had (poorly ) installed myself and that they offered to fix. The awesome people that helped me were Albert G. and Eric. Will be coming back, cannot recommend their service enough!

Very poor service and not good quality check afterwards. My cover that protects sensitive equipment was hanging and rubbing on the pavement. I attempted to call a manager multiple times but got no answer Not just one manager but three! I finally left a message with the switchboard operator to have a manager call me. Long wait for oil change, and tech that changed my oil didn't even clean up his mess and oil spilled underneath engine caused a real bad smell of burnt oil and was smoking. This is the 2nd time they do this to my car and my car only has 14k miles, Very disappointing! Need to go to another dealership and have more professional tech do oil change, so this does not happen again.

My Ecu shorted so I bought a new factory part. Technician told me if the programming didn’t take for whatever reason I would still be liable for the cost, and a redo would be another charge. So if you make a mistake or the programming doesn’t work on your end I’m responsible for the technicians mistake or a glitch in the system?? I will never do business here
