Called the emergency mobile after hours Wednesday 12th December at 6:11pm. There was no answer so left a message. A girl called Jess returned my call to ask if I still needed a vet over half an hour later!!! When I explained I had another vet on the way as I needed to put my dog down, she simply said very abruptly “ok so you don’t need us then, bye” & hung up, she was so rude!!!! I’m so angry!!! It’s such a shame as it reflects badly on the other people I know & have used previously from this practice which are wonderful caring people.

We had an old Thoroughbred with a bad colic on Saturday evening/Sunday morning. We were up all night with him and couldn’t get a vet for the life of us. At 4.00am We we’re told to try Main Ridge Vets and they sent us an absolute Angel! Tamara rocked up 25 minutes later and was bubbly chirpy and extremely professional. We knew he had to be Euthanised due to his old age and the severity of the colic and she made the whole experience way less traumatic than it could have been! She’s my new favourite ❤️

Today I had to say goodbye to my 15year old Goldfish and Annabelle and Megan went to the effort to come to my home to help 'Shortly' on his way peacefully. The gentle and caring way they handled the task was amazing. There was no hint of that it was 'just' a fish to them it was someones pet and they treated him with kindness and respect. A truly exceptional service. I will be taking my Border Collie to them in future for any treatment she may need as they made such an impression on me today.

As someone with performance dogs I had an awful experience with these vets. They have no idea on the advice they are giving to people and have a reception lady who is extremely rude. They couldn’t organise a chook raffle between the administration, vet nurses and vets. I wouldn’t recommend these guys for your performance dogs let alone your loved family pets. After a minor disagreement I was sent a letter to ban me from their vet clinic. Pretty extreme I think. But anyways just be careful.

Such a wonderful team, Collin has been the MOST kind, through, patient and passionate vet (so many adjectives). He was the first vet to correctly diagnose an issue our dog has had ever since we adopted her last year. We're so glad we found him and hope that he will be Tweenie's vet for life. All the staff are caring, kind and patient and you really can't go wrong, they're an amazing clinic. Thank you all so much! X

Staff very friendly, informative, obviously adore animals & providing best care for them. Surgery costs were below quoted price range, wait times were non existent. Above and beyond service, my boy came out smiling and relaxed (as well as ears cleaned/ trimmed nails so he will feel fab during recovery)! Over last five years quality of work has dropped significantly, attitude of staff and owner have also changed significantly, to the detriment of the vet care and when being questioned about an over billing issue which they were in the wrong of to the amount of $400 then when they were questioned finally got refund, but was then sent a letter saying they refuse to treat our animals again.

After years of being loyal customers of this vet we will not be returning. We were ripped off and when we tried to sort the issues out privately with the managing director Kristin Wolfe we were met with rudeness and no intention to even look into the over charges. While Ben is a great vet we will be using one of the other great equine vets on the peninsula. We suggest you do also.

Moved to Australia about a year ago and was hoping to find a vet I could work with, and do believe that I have found that with the Main Ridge staff. Have visited under 2 different vets, and both seemed like very honest, knowledgeable, easy going and down to earth individuals. Front desk and vet assistants also were very personable. Cost was reasonable as well.

Terrible experience by vets and staff.have been turned away after 4 years, since a pup and a knee operation on 60kg mastiff that had no follow up and is still limping They said he was viscous (never bitten anyone).He growled after 3 x attempts to knock him out in our car because of Covid. Very disappointed by Mainridge vet clinic.

Our little dog ' Bella' had to have major surgery, She is a Pomeranian and had major breathing issues. The professionalism, empathy and love shown by all the staff at Main Ridge Veterinary Clinic went above and beyond expectations and the vet Colin is one in a million. The vets are really caring and knowledgeable. They have very reasonable charges/fees. They see all sorts of animals from your regular cats, dogs, rabbits, birds to larger farm animals like horses, sheep, goats and even wildlife like kangaroos, possums, native birds and lizards.

Kristin is so lovely and cares so much about your pets and is very thorough. Main ridge really does care about your pets and is the best vet I have ever been to. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a honest, friendly and amazing vet to go to.

I’m not going into full details but just be careful here. One very crippled little dog after a failed operation and then four attempts to fix made it worse. Friend almost lost his dog recently after operation here too. Not good.

Can't speak more highly about them ,Vets,Nurses, office staff are all amazing, my gorgeous granddog Caeser is always looked after ,everyone is always so careing to him and me .WOULD RECOMMEND ALWAYS THANK YOU MAINRIDGE VET !!!!

Really great place. Took my elderly dog here after being recommended by a friend. Dr Kristin was able to figure what was wrong with my dog after just a quick examination and helped make a treatment plan for her going forward.

The vets and staff here are fantastic.. very caring and have a genuine love and interest of animals. Offer great advice and deal very sensitively with our very nervous Kelpie. Highly recommend
