Maker pizza has always been my top choice for quality and good pizza if I want to splurge a bit and I don't want pizza hut/domino's etc. I've been ordering from Maker for a couple years now and the pepperoni is my go to. I don't order any other "gourmet" pizza. If you try a new pizza joint, I recommend always ordering baseline which is pepperoni. If that pizza place can't execute that properly, it's not good pizza in my opinion. I'm old school and the simpler the pizza with the lesser ingredients, the more premium and better it is when made well. I'm not here to endorse rivalry or competition, but I've tried Badiali's and they are absolutely delicious no doubt. Honestly, both places make somewhat similar pepperoni pizzas, but what Maker's strength is their dough and crust. Dip that crust in garlic sauce, and it's heaven. The crust is charred to perfection is crafted a lot better than Badiali's. No shade to Badiali's, but if I have to choose good pizza, Maker every single time.

Update-they were completely understanding and refunded my credit card! I will try to order again in the future. This review is based on my experience trying to order online. I realize it was Halloween night so I ordered early at 5:30 PM online for two large pizzas. Total with tax, tip and delivery was going to be $90. An hour and a half later no pizza had delivered and when I called they said it’s busy but my order is out for delivery and I should see it in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later I called back and they said they were just finishing my order and it was going to be delivered in 15 minutes. At this point it was late at night and our friends had to leave so I asked him to please cancel the order. He placed me on hold and then eventually hung up. I called back and finally got through and he assured me the order was canceled. Well then I checked my credit card a few days later and they had still charged me. Very poor customer service.

Did not realize that this location is production facility of Maker Pizza and there is no seating area. Picked up take out Dr.Pepperoni small size($27.12 inc. tax) and it was enough for two people. Took about 10 min on Saturday evening around 8pm, pizza served piping hot. First of all pizza crust was thin crust, crispy at the bottom & soft on top. Just right amount of tomato sauce. Quality of cheese & pepperoni were excellent. Loved the hint of fennel powder on my pizza as well. I watched this you tuber criticizing pizza dough to be too thick( almost like Puzza hut) but was not sure what happened? Was that you tuber crazy or was there an improvement with the pizza dough? Enjoyed Maker very much and will definately return to try other pizza.

It is a take out pizza place. So we can't judge them on atmosphere too much. That being said they probably make the best pizza in the city. I've had some great ones so far. I especially was impressed with one of the staff, Madison, who took the purchase process above and beyond. Next time I will grab some photos. Not wheelchair accessible from what I recall. So you may want to make accommodations; but it will be worth it. Their Spadina location is wheelchair accessible I believe.

We visited Maker Pizza and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, we still had a very enjoyable experience. One of the things that stood out to me was the friendly and fast service. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and eager to please, which made the whole experience all the more pleasant. I was also impressed with the quality of the ingredients used in the pizza. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and you could tell that care had been taken in choosing only the best ingredients. While it may not have been the best pizza I've ever had, I still think they are a great option for anyone looking for a quick, satisfying meal. Also make sure to get the spicy garlic dip, it's really unique.

The customer service is exceptional! I always went to the Cameron St location but the Carlaw St location is much closer to me so I tried it out a few times and so far I’ve always had great experiences! The pizza is delicious! The crust is perfectly cooked and always thin. The toppings are always fresh and perfectly portioned! I especially love their homemade Italian sausage. They have vegetarian friendly options also! And you can customize your pizza. I personally love their 12” walk in special! I’m never disappointed by Maker Pizza!

Had the vegan marinara and I must say, it’s a delightful pie. A bit heavy on the garlic and the crust is a bit greasy for me but the flavour of the sauce and the perfect saltiness is exactly what I was craving. I’m hoping to see more vegan options in the future here that I could try at some competitive prices! Service was fast (we ordered and picked up after 10 minutes) but not particularly friendly (that’s okay, we’re all going through tough times). A 12 inch pie is good for two people with a nice side of salad perhaps for a lighter lunch! Edit: Whoever was on shift on 30th March 2023 at 1PM did an amazing job. The large marinara pizza was so good.

I like this place for consistency in good dough. Chewy-soft in a good way that speaks to the carb lover. Important bcs it provides enough body to hold up to a tasty combo of ingredients, especially a quality layer of non-processed tasting cheese on all their pies. Some would generalize it as American style bcs its more substantial. Don't eat this if you like Italian style thin crust. Sadly, this is why Dave Portnoy gave Maker a lowish score. I’d give Maker 8.3 if we had more granular scoring. Closest comparable maybe Blondies (also east end TO), but I had a couple of misses there on dough being tough...perhaps they rush the kneading. I originally liked Blondies for same reason above.

If you’re hungry, choose somewhere else. If you like being able to choose your dinner, order from somewhere else. I have liked the pizza from here in the past. Tonight, at 8pm, I ordered. After a delay, the app told me I would get my order at 9:21, already a long time. My order arrived at 9:50pm. Strike that, AN order arrived at 9:50. I got two pizzas, neither or which I ordered. When I called to complain, the person said she was sorry. Asked how this would be made right, I was told I would get a credit on my NEXT order. That was not adequate. I was hungry and ate a slice of what I got. Unsurprisingly, it was cold.

Ordered take out from Carlaw location and notified pizza was ready for pick up but when I arrived there was no staff. Had to wait over 15 minutes before I got my pizza and it turned out that it had been sitting in the warming cabinet the entire time. By the time it was handed over to me the pizza was barely lukewarm and the crust was getting soggy. Given how expensive the pizzas are, this was extremely disappointing. While the mushroom pizza was tasty, would not order from Maker Pizza again.

Great pizza! Had the pepperoni and margarita pizza, dough was super soft and crispy on the inside which was amazing since it’s hard to master this perfection. We also had their Buffalo wings which surpassed the quality of other wing shops. Cookies to top it off for dessert which blew my mind on how good they were! Hear me out. I absolutely love Maker. It is my favourite pizza in the city and I have been recommending it to everyone I talk to that has not tried it yet. But! We ordered the Dr. Pepperoni from the Carlaw location for the first time and it was a major disappointment. It was the saltiest and greasiest pizza I've ever had and it turned into rubber after 10minutes. I hope it was just a one-off, but I was pretty shocked at the quality. The crust and sauce were still on point and delicious but next time I'll be getting a classic cheese because the pepperoni was tough to eat.

May 2022 update - 4.5 stars. The Frank's is worth the hype! Satisfies savoury and sweet. The favours didn't overpower each other but instead creates a delightful smooth blend. Needs no dip. The sesame crust with hints of honey is unexpected genius. Would love to come back for more! From Oct 2021 - read as 3.5 stars. Pictured: mushroom and margherita. Enjoyed that it was loaded with mushrooms with a unique texture. Margherita was nothing special. Both are very thin. Recommended to me by a foodie friend but it did not meet expectations considering the price.

Best takeout pizza we've had in Toronto! And we've tried many but keep coming back here. The base, the sauce and the quality and combination of toppings- all perfection! Tropic thunder and Frank's best are our go to's. De-LISH!

Excited to finally try Maker Pizza - love that they've come East! The mushroom pizza is mind-blowing!! The flavour just pops and the lemon zest adds incredible freshness. Also tried the pepperoni which is fantastic and the cheese pizza. Switched the crust on the cheese pizza to sesame seed which has some honey. Our household was split on the sesame honey crust. Also tried the creamy garlic dipping sauce and it's unreal!! Definitely worry the price when you're looking for good quality pizza!

Elevated standardized (aka street) Toronto Pizza. Ordered once through Uber (it was fair but arrived cold…) and then ordered a second time but picked up directly through their site. The order was ready shortly after they had mentioned it was ready. Pizza’s were uniform, crunchy and soft crust, and the toppings were of high quality. Cookies were a hit with the kids too. Daughter mentioned there was still a bit of flop on the cheese slice. Can’t win them all! Quality pizza. Will order again.

Need a bigger sign so people can know there's a restaurant "I had a great experience at Maker Pizza, but it was a bit tricky to find because the sign is quite small. I would suggest the restaurant consider getting a bigger sign so that more people can easily find and enjoy delicious food! Have eaten from multiple locations, the store is pretty over priced and hit or miss. The app is generally okay, it tries to apply a heavy tip regardless of takeout or dine in. $50+ for one pizza and 2 cookies, on pick up order. If you find a pizza you like in their selection then it's worth it otherwise it most definitely isn't. The pizza I like the most is Tropic Thunder. If I had only eaten the tropic thunder I would have given it 5 stars.

My mom actually downloaded and used the app to order, when she went to pick it up, they hadn't taken payment and the pizza was not even started. She barely got a sorry and didn't even offer some cookies for her trouble. Then some other people came in, also had issues but seemed to know the staff so they got free cookies! Really not a good experience and we won't be going back. Pizza from my experience was not great anyways

UPDATED: The next order of pepperoni was much better and customer care team is great with addressing concerns. Ordered large pepperoni pizza (red) at $27. It was very very oily, couldn't even pick up a slice, the entire pizza was soaked with oil. I usually don't post reviews, but I'm really disappointed with what I got today. 2/5

Of course I had to try this pizza place in honour of my favourite Canadian Chef, Matty Matheson. Absolutely LOVED it, mind blowing flavours and the crust is where it’s at !!! Make sure you get the “everything bagel” crust… thank me later. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked crust and dough, insane Umami flavour explosion at the first bite. 10/10 would recommend.

I had Maker for the first time today and it was really good! The pizza itself was really delicious. The sauce was nice, cheese was tasty but the dough was bit too chewy. Still good, though! Gave it 4/5 because the cheese didn’t stay on the pizza. It slid off after a bite or two. This happened with all of my slices on the cheese pizza.

Got the Franks Best and it is deeeeeelicious! Love the subtle goat cheese and rosemary! Also the sesame crust is a plus! It is quite pricey so I’d only buy it to treat myself and my husband once in a while but SO good! Would definitely get it again!

So Mushroom is my favourite from Maker Pizza! They probably used an entire carton of mushrooms on this one 16" pizza. All the ingredients come together so well in this one. Love the flavour of the dough and dill dipping sauce as well. It's a bit more expensive than other pizza places but worth it IMO.

One the best pizza shops in Toronto. There’s nothing like it. I’ve tried the location on Queen West but I prefer this shop more. For some reason, the pizza I ate here the other day doesn’t taste as greasy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Frank's Best is awesome. You can't go wrong with caramelized onions and goat cheese! I also enjoyed the sesame crust drizzled with honey, it has some serious sesame bagel vibes. The garlic dip was tasty but a bit thick for my taste. The straight up pepperoni was loaded with quality pepperoni.

Was excited to try after my mother in law hyped it so much. First slice was great, but got boring after that. Added pepperoni for a bit of meat and total came to 38.5$ before taxes for 16". Don't feel like it was worth the premium in price.

I don't think any good people will come here for food because the service here is very bad and their behavior with the delivery divers is very bad and disgusting.
