Having to plan a funeral for a loved one who passed unexpectedly is an unbelievably kind of torture. In the midst of the worst time of my life I had to talk to strangers and make plans I knew nothing about. I called two other funeral homes before I came across Malek & Sons. Thank you, google. That was the best thing that could have happened. The moment Peter answered the phone and started filling me in I felt myself starting to relax. All the other places sounded like sleazy sales people. Peter came across like a human being genuinely focused on helping me and my family get through this horrible time. From out first to last interaction I felt I was in experienced, safe hands, who could be trusted. Now that everything is done and I can reflect back I couldn’t be more thankful for Peter and his way of being there for us. I genuinely hope that I won’t have to plan another funeral anytime soon, but if I do Peter and Malec & Sons is the only place to lean on during such hard times.

My family and I came to Malec & Sons Funeral home after the tragic and sudden loss of my brother. We didn't want to be there as most don't after a loved one passes. We met with Mr. Peter Rago, and from the very beginning, he was so supportive, kind, considerate, professional, and knowledgeable. Peter went above and beyond, and we just knew that we were in great hands throughout the entire process. He checked in, was always available for questions, changes, etc, worked with us to accommodate our needs, and there was an overall comfort that came with working with Peter and the rest of the staff at Malec. When it came to the arrangements, he made sure everything ran smoothly. I cannot say enough good things about Peter and everyone at Malec. I highly recommend them!

We lost two dear family members within a week of each other. During this impossibly difficult time, Malec and Sons and Anabele (funeral director) made it easier. The funeral home respected all of our wishes. The facilities are beautiful. The staff is respectful, professional, and courteous. The ceremony was more than we could have hoped for. Malec and Sons went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone planning a funeral. We can’t say enough good things about Anabele. From the time we stepped into the home for the first time and to many follow ups after, it felt like she was there for us and a part of our family. Couldn’t have done this without her.

The staff at Malec and Sons went above our expectations. We asked for my dad not to have to much makeup and the staff followed our directions. My dad’s wake and funeral were held on two if the hottest days of the summer. The funeral director, Peter, was very helpful in accommodating us and making sure the prayers were said in the air conditioned chapel before burial. What touched my mom and me the most was that we opted to have a drive by the house. The funeral director asked if he could stopped the car and placed two flowers on our doorstep. This is a memory that I will always treasure Thank you

I am beyond grateful for the staff at Malec and Sons, especially Anabel. She was unbelievably kind, informed and caring during our grieving. She paid close attention to details and cared as if it was her loved one that had passed. Her kindness and generosity were genuine as she helped us navigate through this process. Deacon Novak called each immediate family member separately to get our stories, and led an absolutely heartfelt service. For the terrible circumstance, Anabel and Deacon Novak did a wonderful job. We are truly grateful for them.

My experience with Malec & Sons and the funeral director Anna was exceptional! Malec was the funeral home for my dad I 1991 where they were great, and it’s good to see that they maintained the tradition when my mom left us recently. Very caring and respectful. Once again, I can’t say enough about what a great experience we had with Anna and the rest of the Malec family.
