Leave a review that is helpful rather than being horrible. Too many people are quick to leave a bad review, it might not be a place for you but something for someone else. There are reviews of the library being noisy, in the children's section yes it does get a little noisy but mostly it's quiet. Pre-covid they would have things like chess club and art club after school hours, which are currently not yet running. I don't know about the computer area being noisy, as a suggestion the computers could be confined to one section. Also, for those who are looking for a quiet place to read, sadly to say local libraries changed the way libraries are used many years ago to draw people/children in, the newer generation have not got a real need for books (they have their tablets to 'read' from), so much content is readily available online, why use a library? The library staff are helpful and kind, there's quite a wide variety of books available, it caters to a wide range of people and the needs of the local community. I was quite sad when the original Manor Park library closed down but moving forward a quiet reading area may help those who feel they want to come to the library to read.

It was my first visit to this library. I must say it was very clean, tidy and well organised beyond that the staff were absolutely lovely, approachable and very helpful! I picked up books for myself and for my toddler. A kind gentleman went out of his way and bought some new collection of books to my attention for my toddler and encouraged me to check them out. She absolutely loves them and engages with the books really well. Another colleague was happy to help when I was enquiring about the books I was interested in and kindly explained to me about all the facilities they offer. We had a pleasant conversation. Another colleague also acknowledged my toddler and gave her a complimentary reading pack with stickers and fun activities which was very sweet. My visit was a week day during the day and I must say at that time it was quiet. I guess I caught the library at a time where it wasn’t too busy which was nice. I am drawn to this place due to the level of customer service and my love for books! Overall it was a great experience so thank you to the team of wonderful people I met during my visit ☺️

THIS LIBRARY IS UNSAFE! I have been going to this library for a few weeks now and yesterday (Saturday, 5pmish) i was robbed by two adult white males in the library. Who entered the library and came over touching my my stuff, shouting and tapping my shoulders to distract me to run off with my phone!!! This altercation went on for about 2-4 minutes and no one helped me!!! The worse part was the lack of assistance from staff. I immediately realised they took my phone and reported it to the staff member (50+, Asian, short lady) who was sat at the back of the library ironically on her phone. When i told her my phone was just stolen her response was " I know" and continued looking on their phone. When i asked if i could use the phone to call the police they sighed and said "cant you use your phone.... " Really?! I got annoyed at this point and requested to use to library phone which again seemed to be an issue... they didnt know what number to call for non- emergency even though i told them. They lacked urgency and care and i personally would not feel safe to come to this library again. STAY AWAY!

Today I went with both of my toddlers for the first time in the children section, the staff goes to me can you tell the children to be quiet as there is training, I said excuse me on the children side what training is there. Then I went to change one of my toddlers nappy and she goes don’t use the bin in the toilet take the nappy with you. I’ve never felt uncomfortable in my life. Bear in mind one of my daughter are autistic. This is why I don’t like going out because of being judged by worker and people around me. I was holding books for my toddlers so I can borrow them she goes make sure you put them back. I won’t take them back.

It's not a library. It's a box with some books. I was register at Manor Park for my first time but when I go at Redbridge library I never come back to Manor(urgence only). If you are looping for a quiet place where study is the right because nobody want go but if you want books in section like politics, psychology, or all other non fiction, go to Redbridge library just 15min in bus, in the side of Cineworld in Ilford Hill.

It cannot be classed as a library, whether it be prime exam season for students or just a regular day, it cannot be used for someone with the aim of getting some work done in a quiet environment, they play music and host Zumba classes, people play computers outloud and have no shame in shouting across the room. Not my idea of a library and certainly not helpful when trying to revise for my exams!!

There is always kids running around and in the study area, there's not even a door there, so you can still hear them. Plus, in this 'study' area, it's s cold and the TV is on for some goddamn reason. The library should be a quiet place to be and all it is is a children play area. Never going there - it's better to go to The Gate Library in Forest Gate: it's amazing!

I've been going here for years now and the staff have always been so nice and helpful. Very considerate, attentive and obliging. This is so far the best library in terms of customer service. (In opposite contrast to green Street library... That place has appalling staff who are rude at every opportunity!)

Given that this is a small unit the choice of books is limited but nonetheless lots to read. I like this library as its usually bustling with activity with community groups such as senior citizens exerciser classes etc and there's always staff around to help if needed.

Way too noisy. Staff can be quite loud too. Not the place to go if you want to get work done. The study area is tiny with 3 tables and has a TV on all the time. I think they should change the layout of the library so that there's a separated study area.

It’s great that they have lots of programmes for babies and children but not great for students/adults trying to focus on revision/work. The space is very small and no proper sound proof division

  • Michael Jackson

It’s a terrible place, I do not recommend going the staff smell, disrespectful and are barely out of the staff room. They lack empathy for others,All the staff do is talk rather than helping.

So kind, my sister and I were visiting from North London The staff were so nice and friendly. They made us feel welcome and really looked after us.

  • FORM FIT

If you're looking for a place to work quietly DO NOT go here. Noisy, small and people have no issue getting in your personal space talking loudly.

  • Alok Bhattacharyya

It's very easy to go by public transport. There are about 10 computers for free Internet upto 2 hours. Also there is free wifi.

  • A Hassan

This is not a library its a zoo. Extremely loud. Also there is no guest WiFi

  • Vidyaranya Sai Nuthalapati

It is more of a children's play area rather than a library. Very noisy

  • Aleksandar Tanev

Nice and warm place to visit, especially during the cold winter☃️...

  • Nurul Fadilah
