A good library in a fantastic central location in London which just around the corner from Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. There are three floors to read or to study with complimentary Wi-Fi which is easy to login into without having to give your personal details. All are quiet enough. Only gripe is that, given it's proximity to nearby construction work (as of May 2019), the third-floor study area can get loud. Headphones with your own tunes are advised. Other than that, a good place to come if you're looking for a place to work or study. One more thing, if you're into architecture and interior design, you'll appreciate the handsome mahogany stairs and bookshelves on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

My favorite library in all of London! Been going here for a year now and the history of the building is insane! Sir Isaac Newton’s observatory was once there. Other than that, the library offers fast wifi, a bathroom (albeit you do have to ask the librarian to unlock the door), and 2 pianos for anyone to practice on free of charge. It can get quite busy after working hours but there will always be a place to sit upstairs. The librarians are very helpful and kind, they let me borrow a pen on two occasions. The downstairs area is beautiful with tall windows that let in the sun. 10/10 one of my favorite places in London.

What a lovely place to just sit and read (or study, use your laptop, phone, etc.) in peace. Bang in central London yet removed from all the hustle and bustle. The users in there were quiet and respectful of the space, the staff were unobtrusive yet present. WiFi was easy to connect to and reasonably fast, decent temperature maintained inside the building. Tempting as it must be for WCC to flog it off to a developer for a pretty penny, I hope they maintain/improve it for many years and decades to come!

Such kind staff members. The lady who helped me scan my documents was so lovely. She really went above my expectations with the help she provided. She not only showed me how to use the scanners but also tried to resolve the issues I had with my memory stick and my laptop. In the end, she kindly suggested getting a library card so I could use the computers which solved the issues. I was in a hurry and not from London so with her help I was able to scan my documents successfully.

Good location very private, on a side road not busy nice and peaceful, attended an event on the second floor. There was only one toilet available for all to use which I couldn't use the floor near the toilet was not cleaned. I didn't use it and went to another venue to use there toilet. Nice vintage style library I like the lay out the books are displayed excellent experience.

An awful library. They think that we are in summer and they have all the windows open when now it's winter. I don't know if these people have common sense. They say to you: "The reason it is to has fresh air". A stupid reason when it´s cold outside and the air comes inside the library. If you can, go an another library better than this.

Amazing library with very friendly staff, perfect for some quiet time to focus on work. Internet is free, fast and reliable, there are desks with electricity supply. Spent a few days working here and it was perfect for some deep hard work sessions!

Gorgeous library -- I especially love the music library on the first floor. It's got a very relaxed vibe, with music playing and lots of sunlight streaming in. The music staff are lovely, and we really enjoyed the free concert at lunchtime :)

Muy agradecido, por incluir mi libro novela "Teoría de cuerdas" en su biblioteca. A final de Invierno les haré una visita. Les deseo felicidad en las cercanas fiestas de Navidad y en el nuevo año 2016.

I had two readings about documental indexation. I found a great atmosphere to do my reading. I was told no to use the toilet because it's dirty. Like really dirty. It's a good advice.

Good library with good opening hours - when not being refurbished - as now. The Ground Floor will reopen on 5 March 2018 not before. The other floors reopen as work completes.

Great public library, with lots of study desks available. Classic music being played on the first floor, for those whom study better some music playing in the background.

Spacious library. It has 3 floors the last one beeing the quiet zone. It's open until 8 pm which is great for those who want to read after an AM work shift.
