Waited 5 days for an emergency appointment. Appointment for 8.30am waited 25 mins in the Q to be seen because the screen was broken. Rude receptionist named Rachel told me she hadn't seen me when she arrived at 8.30am insinuating that I was a lier and very confrontational, I calmly told her that I wasn't lier & please don't insinuate as such. She then began raising her voice and been extremely rude. I waited for her to call the Doctor who she then told very loudly in a room full of patients that I was been irate - which was not true at all. When I told her that wasn't true she began raising her voice again. I had to wait another hour to be seen. Whilst I was sitting in my car waiting I saw her leave for a cigarette at the front of the surgey. So unprofessional and unacceptable way to present yourself as a Doctors receptionist. I have put a complaint in.

After quite a few years of experiencing very poor treatment here, i was delighted to raise my current problem this afternoon with Elaine of the Admin Team which sorted my problem efficiently and correctly dispelled the incorrect information I had been given this morning and gave me hope. So I rang back this afternoon, waited as I was 16 on queue. The care coordinator I had was Rachel, I would suggest no relation to the person in the previous review. She was friendly, professional, efficient and made up for all previous experiences, my appointment was made, correct information checked and information logged. Only reason I am not recording 5, which both this Rachel and Elaine richly deserve, is I am aware, that the majority of my experiences have been so dire. But all I can say is these two brightened my month and was well worth the time spent.

Just had a really positive experience at the Marksbury Rd Surgery. I went in for blood tests and also needed my BMI calculated. The nurse that took my blood was not able to do my BMI but she very kindly went and got another nurse who would be able to do this for me as they were not expecting to take my BMI that day. Both nurses were so kind and more than happy to go out of their way to accommodate me. Thank you so much - it saved me an extra trip!

I had rang about the deterioration of my mental state and I can’t get a word in to say I’m afraid of myself I just gets asked if I wants to talk to someone, if I didn’t want help I wouldn’t of called would I, that’s every time now these lot are a joke.

I’ve been on hold for over 40 minutes simply, to inquire about registering as a new patient. If it takes this long to get hold of the practise when I need them, that’s a red flag.

Had my Covid 19 jab there today. All the staff and volunteers were, without exception, helpful, friendly, competent and efficient.

Lovely staff and a great building; much improved from the old Westmore Practice building around the corner.
