"Nice looking Park area"
"It's about average size, but it's not rlly a kid park"
"Beautiful park"
"I like it, good view of the city for photography"
"Beautiful park on the outskirts of Uptown"
Nice looking Park area. Parking is a bit dicey and confusing. Park on side street available and we were there to take some photos on the way to kids prom and there was a wedding going on there at the same time so can be a busy place. Be aware that all the parking lots that look like they're associated with that little Park are really parts of businesses around the area and a church and have Gates around the parking area in the parking on the street during week has tollways on hours. We were there on a weekend wasn't clear whether we had to pay for parking or not. We tried to pay at the automated meters where you can put in your license plate and pay with card but it responded couldn't process at this time. So we were never quite clear if it was free to park on the weekend or if the meters are just not working right the signage is very un-clear.
It's about average size, but it's not rlly a kid park. Its more so a great place to sit, chill and or talk! I wouldn't say it's great place for kids since they have fountains and a small man made pond that a child could fall in if parents aren't careful. Dont get me wrong tho it's a great place for pictures and has Charlotte right in the background! Perfect place for engagement photos or anything else! I'd rate it however for 8 years old and up!
Beautiful park. Excellent Landscape Architecture. Ample seating and area to stand and sit and enjoy the great views of Charlotte. Lots of movement with fountains and plantings, and fun places for the kids to play and make sounds. I was pleasantly surprised by this space, and would highly recommend that you visit just to see. So beautiful
I like it, good view of the city for photography. There's no parking though, you have to get lucky on the street. I hear in other reviews there's plans to remove this park, and based on how many people were there enjoying it, that plan gives me a very negative impression of the city and there's people that need to be promptly voted out.
Beautiful park on the outskirts of Uptown. Great view of the skyline from here and some nice places to lounge. Looks like it hasn't seen any love in a while though. Grass was long and unkempt, lots of garbage strewn about the place, and the water was looking pretty grungy. With a bit of cleanup, this could be a nice little park again.
Park is nice, parking not so much. Three of us from out of town scratching our heads trying to figure put how to pay to park. Statue of MLK is touching. Not sure why it's called "unlovable." What a label to give it. WE loved it. Loved "The Green" better, but still thought this was nice.
Had a beautiful experience picnicking with my family on a Sunday morning. Plenty of open space, trash receptacles, and on-street parking. I can only imagine that this is a wonderful place to spend time in the spring and summer. I would definitely visit again for another picnic.
This is a nice place right next to the 3rd convention train stop , there is a pond with ducks and a fountain , but there aren’t many places to sit with a shade , mostly you will sit directly under the sun, so plan either in morning or on evenings ! Nice view of city as well
This park has so much potential. There were areas to sit, but also areas to run around and play. I loved the pond with the ducks, however the park was not at all well taken care of. There was trash everywhere...on the sidewalk, in the grass, and in the pond. It was gross.
One of the best spot in Charlotte to capture uptown in camera. It showcases the beautiful building as the background. This place never disappoints photography. Definitely recommend to capture beautiful spots. They have nice space for streets parking.
Beautiful Park! The sunshine, water fountain, & the beautiful skyline view... Come on out and enjoy peace and people watching! I also hear that Good Portions Italian Ices will be there for the month of March on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays!
Good public meeting place across the street from the Mecklenburg County Courthouse. It can hold large crowds and has a pond, but it's not a place you would bring your kids to play. There is no playground and you are not allowed to feed the geese.
This park isn't what it used to be. It seems pretty run down now in terms of the pond condition and the fountain wasn't working. I feel bad for the ducks living in this park. There's still some pretty cool areas for some decent photos though.
It is a park located right at the downtown. A pretty big park with lots of trees and huge space to walk or jog or run. kids play around. There is even a nice fountain at the center of the park and big pond with many fishes in it. It feels
Would be an ABSOLUTE SHAME to destroy this park with what are now beautiful, mature trees, and replace it with a flat, soulless sham of a residential (high cost) and business (needless) area that absolutely cannot match the beauty I have
Beautiful view of the city. There is a fountain and little lake. Great area but a lot of bugs around. When I went on a picnic, a cockroach crawled onto our blanket. Also, many many flies followed us. Overall, decent park for just a walk.
Could have been better designed but kudos for the effort. Way too much concrete for a "park". Maybe, eventually, nature will reclaim the space. The water features are the nicest elements...even though they, too, are concrete contained.
Great park within reach of downtown - but not the best Skyline view. The fountain is good but its more of a walking park and not much benches to sit. Moreover, being middle of downtown, there isn't any free parking near by.
Nice walking park. Does not have any play equipment, but has a water fountain with a nice view. There's also a bridge. Nice location for photos, or if you love water fountains. (Our son loves water fountains.)
Stumbled across this park while driving through Charlotte. It was the perfect spot to take some pictures of the skyline. Very serene and peaceful too, enjoyable to walk around and be in nature for a bit.
There’s no playground here, someone should fix this label. My kids were disappointed. It does have some nice walkways and a water feature. A few ducks with ducklings were there when we came through.
Marshall Park is no doubt the best park in Uptown Charlotte to walk through and the pond with the water fountain is awesome to enjoy. It's a must for everyone who is paying a visit to Charlotte.
There is NO damn playground here! Someone should fix this by either changing the label to a Nature Hike Park, etc. OR actually get Charlotte Parks & Rec to actually install a damn playground.
It's peaceful. Yes, there's a few homeless people there because they are kicked out of the shelters by 6-7am, but most of them don't bother anyone. They just want to sleep.
A much more depressing park as we were in the mood for today. Everything is in disrepair and serves more as a waiting area for the local courtroom up the steps. Skip it.
Quite lovely park on the south side of charlotte, more industrial of a vibe but it’s thoughtfully designed. The water was pretty nasty, could do with being cleaned.
This is one of the many parks I love to visit here in Charlotte. Ducks were out today and very few people so we got to really enjoy the open spaces and fresh air.
This is a great park for amazing photo shoots, beautiful views, scenery and Charlotte skyline. It could use a little tlc to make it look better aesthetically.
The park is beautiful with big trees and grass, but there are only a couple of places to sit. I don’t understand a park this size with only a few benches!!!
Great views and was not crowded at all. Plenty of places to hide from the sun. The water is soo relaxing. Definitely want to come back to feed the ducks.
So much potential with this park. Great place to walk around and watch the ducks. Water features and shaded areas for a picnic. Close to many hotels.
It's right across the street from my job and it's my favorite place to view the skyline with this foundation. I see Photographers there often.
Came here for a little run. Beautiful area like others have mentioned that has potential to be something more. Great view and design.
This park is breathe taking. I took my 40th birthday Photo shoot there and it was so amazing. Beautiful place for many reasons!
Great place for pictures, and a quick walk. Parking fees are not horrible either. Could be a bit more maintained though.
Pretty park located close to downtown. You will find a couple of water fountains, a small bridge, beautiful trees, etc.
Fantastic park. Has shade, ducks, geese, and lots of water. Needs a little TLC. Fountain wasn’t working when we visited.
Best to come here during the day time, has some nice water features and an interesting view of the Charlotte skyline
Lovely park. It was really quiet and empty on a Sunday and has an incredible view of the skyline. Highly recommend.
Great park amidst busy city, good place to take a walk. Nice tall trees and the uptown view is beautiful in night.
Perfect place for a picnic! Do really wish you the city kept the water cleaner, it’s quite full of litter. …
This place is absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful, I spent my Sabbath Morning here and I really loved it.
This park has some pretty areas, great view of the city skyline, and was cleaner than my last visit.
Super pretty views from this park! Got a bit of a stay-sexy-dont-get-murdered vibes at night though!
Great area, nice people. I enjoyed my visit. Park view is amazing, clean, and peaceful .
Nice place for photos and not so crowded just in Charlotte Downtown
