This place is jank!!i spend an hour getting an outfit for my birthday. i found a Versace sweater that ive seen there almost a year on the clearance with a 20.00 price tag. On it . I was super excited and pumped about the find. I go around amd grab some other stuff i wanted. I get to the register and i tell the lady i cant belive i got it at that price told her tomorrow is my borthday and how exited i was to wear it. She called up a mamager amd they took the vesace hoodie away from me came back and was like thos is 136.00 final price do you still want it. I was like nooooo. Why dose it say 20.00 this has been here for a year collecting dust its my birthday tomorrow and i cant belive you guys took the sweater from me and switched thw price on me espesalloy when i was just saying how eccited I was... When I am in the Lakeview area I like to stop snd shop this Marshalls location. The store is a decent size though the women's shoe department is quite small and could definitely use better selection of shoe fashion. This store has a little bit of everything for the entire family! I bought this lovely vegan leather jacket for Fall which is so Fab!!! What was great this day I was shopping (8/21/22) was the cashier Alondra! She was quick, efficient, personable and polite. She seemed to genuinely appreciate her customers. Having managed in retail for over twenty years, she exuded what you should experience when shopping. As a frequent shopper, it is very pleasing to be treated with respect and the level of professionalism Alondra exhibited. To the Marshall hiring staff, she is a GEM! I wish for more young staff such as Alondra! Alondra, THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES FOR BEING FABULOUS! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! IT WILL ELEVATE YOU!

Avoid this store and their horrible customer service. I went to return an item purchased from another location with my receipt. They said the item number on the receipt did not match the item; which can't be as that was the correct receipt and correct price. The manager Tony and some cow, I think her name was Maria, were being very rude and unhelpful. They said I would have to drive AN HOUR to the the other store to return it and so they could look up video footage of me actually purchasing that item on the date on the receipt. I have never heard of something like this. Tony said he does this all the time at his store. Very unprofessional and deceiving to a customer. It's customer service like this that will deteriorate a company and retail. AVOID.

My sister went in today to buy a candle. She said she was checked out by an older black woman, who asked her if she wanted to donate, and she responded that she couldn't at the moment. The woman immedietly called her "privileged" and told her to "come back when she realizes that people have a harder time than her." Trust me, we understand the importance of donating, but having your employees guess the financial status of your customers does NOT help the cause. It just makes people want to not come to your store. Sorry that she doesn't have the money to donate right now, but in no way should your employees harass your customers. It's unacceptable.

Let me preface by saying that I work in theatre. My scenic designer found a chair that she really liked for our production at another Marshall's location. Instead of driving all over Chicago, wasting gas and time stuck in traffic, and generally having a miserable day, I decided to call ahead to all the Marshall's locations to see if they had the 1 chair I need in stock. The last 6 calls I've made have been very helpful even though unsuccessful. When I called this location, however, the associate's response was to tell me I'd need to come in and look for myself. Makes me not want to. I'm horribly unimpressed. Thanks for nothing, lady.

Good selection. No staff to work the areas. The departments were a mess... the line was soooooo long to check out. The woman working the register was RUDE!!!!!!!! I bought a glass pumpkin and she asked if I needed a bag. I said I’d put in my backpack. I was waiting for it to be wrapped up and she said” what are you doing just looking at me” I asked if she could wrap it for me. She walked off came back with a balled up piece of tissue and tossed it across the counter and asked me to move when I was wrapping it up. I was being super nice too because I have worked in retail. I was so mad I almost asked for a refund on everything.

The store is huge. But left alot to be desired. Not much as far as clothes for men which was disappointing. The staff seemed cold and robotic no emotions I get it it's retail and dealing with the public can suck. My daughter used the ladies washroom and said it was disgusting and like a gas station toilet filthy. Seemed kind of rundown in this store. Lots of broken or junkie items on the shelf. The check out line was long and slow moving. After 20 or so minutes we cashed out. The guy working was more interested in trying to get us to open a credit card for the store. We declined the offer.

The store is well organized and the staff seems fine, but wow was I disappointed at the quality of the clothing. I thought that their stuff was supposed to be higher-end but a majority of the clothing was super cheaply made and looked awful, not to mention behind in terms of style. The outerwear section was pretty great and they had an impressive skincare selection, but I came in wanting to look for some new shirts and sweaters and was really disappointed at how bad it all was. Fabric on most things was so thin that it was translucent with really bad stitching and shape.

The one thing I would say is employees need to share and signing up people for their credit card. It should not be a competitive environment it should be a friendly environment for every employee. I would say also they need to increase in getting size 28 at this location for bigger women and men and it should be nice clothes. They never have size 11s on both sides both men and women sides. But overall I still like this location and will be back Marshall on Clark Street please make it a friendly environment for employees throw some pizza parties

Marshall's always has great selection of lots of different categories. I found what I was looking for, and bought something else I found while browsing. The downside is that if you need help, you can forget about it. I couldn't find a dressing room, although I assume they have one, and when I finally chased down a person, it was to ask where the escalators were. I suppose I should not have been surprised that he sent me to the opposite end of the store. Everywhere I go I see Help Wanted signs. MARSHALL'S should put up No Help Available signs.

Out of all of the Marshalls in the city, this is probably the best one...its kind of a pain to have to sift thru all their inventory, bc theyre usually a mess! But THIS location does a great job with keeping things a bit more organized & clean. A great selection, also! High end products for crazy cheap, as well as the clothes, & a decent selection of toys & stuff for the little ones. I got like 8 Christmas gifts earlier this evening, & spent $88!! So if you're heading to Marshalls to do some shopping, I reccommend this location highly!

I have visited this Marshalls so many times! I not only find great beauty products & dresses but so many name brands! I also wanted to post a review to give my appreciation to the store employee who went on a search to try and price match the nail file I was purchasing. She not only found a similar nail file product that I wanted but gave me a great price point for the product! Thank you! I will be back at this Marshalls real soon! Highly recommend to anyone searching for amazing clothes & beauty products at a reasonable price.

The product selection here may not be the greatest, but the prices certainly are. I managed to find a jacket and some boots here for a significantly reduced price. For some items, they do have additional stock in terms of sizes and colors but for items, especially those on racks, what you see is what you get. On a good day, you can get a really good deal, not even at outlet malls. If you've got something on your shopping list, walk into Marshalls and you might walk out pleasantly surprised.

Great spot for men's fashion... lots of fall options. Their home section has seen better days though... a few Halloween decorations, A LOT of Christmas options (even for pets) already -- but nothing for Diwali, Thanksgiving, or Hanukkah (which is earlier this year ‍♂️). Maybe it is a sign of gentrification, but I am missing their previous commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in their offerings. I did buy a nice Christmas plate for my puppies ...

Pretty decent, as far as Marshall's stores go. Parking is available, they have the whole shebang with men's, women's children's clothing, shoes, house goods... I've shopped here quite a few times & although they never carry clothing I'd purchase, the shopping experience is always pleasant & the store neat. But I will note that during the holidays, they have THE BEST toy selection of any Chicagoland TJMaxx or Marhsall's.

The store itself was alright. Fair selection, didn't have everything I was looking for (which isn't unusual I know), however, once again I'm disappointed in the service. I was in a line 14 people long with 5 cashiers, then 4, eventually dwindling down to 2. With the line ever growing. To their credit they did radio for backup which eventually came... eventually. But this seems like a consistent issue across the chain.

The overall store is okay, I can tell they have been trying to keep the store a lot more organized! The clothing could still use more of an updated quality regardless of the brand. The escalators were OUT again! Which clearly blows because of the inconvenience and the fact that the elevator is super slow. But I suppose good cardio for those who can handle the broken escalators.

This place is a bit big so you might need very strong legs to roam around the store but I always enjoy every time I visit this place. There are lots of different kinds of products to choose from and just so you know, they also have a nice customer lounge to rest for a while as you really need it to be able to continue shopping because they really had a very big place to shop.

I worked here for only two weeks. They had me doing a two persons job and everyone who went with me to the interview also quit. I decided to quit because the job was sooooooooooooo HARD to do. I wanted to be a cashier but they put me in the basement where the light was grayish and there wasn’t any joy everyone was tired and I felt like I was working at a sweatshop!

I was robbed inside the store. They took my wallet with all my credit/ debits cards and documents. The manager was nice and said they would review the camera recordings the next day, but it's been 4 days and I haven't heard back despite several telephone attempts. Be careful of your surroundings, that may not be the safest place to shop. It happened mid-afternoon.

They had a long line yesterday afternoon but the manager stepped in and reassigned people to the registers. They needed 3 staff for the two entrances to offer hand sanitizer, and keep the guest count within the perimeters set by the state and wouldn't you know people were complaining, loudly? Patience is a virtue and you're not the only one who matters.

Clean, neat and up kept. I've shopped here before but most recently in the last few days found several really nice items. 1 pair of shorts and a few polos for a tremendous deal. I wouldn't go for their brand name items like cK and MK but the lesser known designer brands like denim & flower really are quite nice clothes for a very reasonable price.

This store is a shell of the store it used to be a few years ago. There was a time you could buy really good quality men’s clothes here and they have slowly shrunk it down to the size it currently is. I came here looking for a jacket like I usually do when I need one and they have one small, sad wall of jackets. What happened to this store?

Great prices on needed clothes items. I wonder how they get the clothes from Asia? Shoes can be hard on the feet. Overall a great store. Clerks are patient usually and cashiers move you on quick and in poised fashion. Had a run-in with a clerk being a jerk which was odd but not surprised that person left(must've not been happy there).

Best service ever! All associates are very friendly and kind not only that but have a good sense of humor. Well organize in most cases. Has a lot of different items from name brand to not so name brand at very low income cost. Always busy unless its raining. Most morning during the week are good times to go. Hopefully this is helpful

The workers at this location racially profiled my 15 year old son. We were shopping at this establishment when a worker stop my son for no reason to ask if he was with a parent all because he was African American. I reported it to the store manger but not sure what will be done to rectify the ignorance that was displayed today.

Brought a couple of items for my great nephew for Christmas. Clothing for 16 mon old baby. They grow fast out of clothing. Found a pair of pants on clearance. Bought chocolate for a friend. It was nice. Didn't spend a whole lot of money. Under $35. You just have to take your time and look. You'll never know what you can find.

Good selection of brand name clothing, shoes, and purses for discounted prices. I love the variety that they offer but it's also so hard finding something great by sifting through the rows and rows of clothes. The worst part is finding something you love but it's not the right size. Good luck finding another one then.

I use this store mainly because I get reward certificates from it using their credit card. And its 2 blocks from me. Pricing ok. For some reason they never have black undershirts. Otherwise good place for basics. Etc could use more Cashiers there's a wait to checkout. Service courteous professional. Worth a stop

This is the kind of store where what you see is what you get. Most of the clothing and accessories appear to be second-hand, including the shoes. But the prices are consistent with that. Definitely not the cleanest place to browse, shop, and try on items. But they have hand sanitizer available as customers exit.

The closest home goods store to my apartment, it has a fairly nice selection. Mainly clothing, but there are bath things, bedding, toys, accessories, and decor/kitchen items here. Sometimes the makeup section looks a bit rough. Other than that it's a great place, I come here often.

Great products for terrific prices. Like any Marshalls or TJMaxx, you have to dig for your finds. The employees are hit or miss, as is the stock--it can be very empty at times. I recommend going early on a weekday--this place is always busy, especially in summer. Avoid weekends!

Men's dress shirts are grossly over priced when you can go to uniqlo downtown and get same quality at lower prices. They should have more classics (solid colors / especially black ) and less busy options in the men's clothing. It's like Ed Hardy threw-up all over that section.

Long time shopper of Casual Male via the net. Never really cared for their prices but I was limited in my store options. Marshalls is the answer. Great store for big and tall guys with amazing prices that won't break the bank. Plus they carry shoes sizes up to 16. Super win.

They have separate men's and women's dressing rooms and don't have mirrors in the dressing room vestibule so you can't look at clothes with someone else. The hooks in the dressing rooms are too close to the doors so if you hang something from them you can't open the door.

Date 8/4/19 @ 7:35pm this store said barely when it was 7pm that it was going to close shortly and also the registers! You guys close @ 8 on Sunday’s stop making people think they have to hurry and shop fast so you guys can go home early!

Some employee just told me that a shirt I bought about a week ago. That the tag that was with the shirt was not the correct tag for that shirt. .please I am the most honest person as far as returning a item that i Am not happy with.

I really like this location but I primarily shop for beauty items and I find that a different location in the city has a better selection. This location seems to stock their beauty on an inconsistent basis so I stop in less often.

The place has a wide selection for clothing and workers that can help you choose with outfits are perfect for you. The prices are relatively cheap and tend to have special constantly. If I ever need clothes I will come back here.

It's a typical Marshalls. Not great, not horrible. Relatively clean and organized for this type of store and always has some unexpectedly good deals outside of the clothing department. That is why I give it 5 stars.

really love THIS Marshalls in particular! Joy was very helpful and patient in assisting me with a few items I couldn't find. I this will always be my go to store and hopefully Joy will be there to assist as well.

They definitely have improved with their visuals. Color coding their toiletries section and candles. Is appeasing because in the past their visuals team has been not present so it was always hard to find a gem

This is my happy place. I spend way too much time and money here but the deals are fantastic for some of my favorite brand name items. Workout attire, jeans, shoes, pajamas, candles....I get it all here!!

Lots of selections and plenty of designer brands. Having a parking lot really makes shopping convenient. The store is on the second floor so take the (very very slow) elevator directly inside.

Shop here often. Store is clean and well organized and I can usually find something I like at a good price. Good location accessible near the Belmont Redline stop or the Clark Street bus.

Always has things, clothing and knickknacks available at discounted prices. Selection is big and stores r clean. Always fun to go there to shop. Never know what u will end up buying.

This store is great- easy to find what I need and want, clean, and well organized. Mel B was also super helpful! She signed me up for a Marshalls credit card easily and confidently.

Great little shopping center when you need to find something quick. Has a free parking lot, which is great. Worst elevator in the City of Chicago. Take the steps, problem solved.

If you're looking for cheap branded items including clothing and TJ Maxx doesn't have it, they may. Don't expect the entire range but if you're lucky they may have it in stock.

We love go to Marshalls. They have everything what looks foe. They carry a lot project for art. And sales all the time. I keep coupon and it is like 40% off almost always.

This is a micro-mall (if there’s a word like that..lol) - It has DSW, Marshalls & Michaels! There’s a small sitting area where you can relax. I love shopping there!

Great items, lines always take forever though! I left once because I didn't love what I was purchasing enough to wait in line lol.. but if you can be patient!

I have to say that he was pretty empty all the shelves were half empty but still a place then I always find good deals and people are mostly very friendly.

Lots of merch but you may be disappointed. For example, ladies robes & pj's but no nightgowns. Prices are average so don't bother unless there's a sale.
