This Marshalls is okay considering it is in Rogers Park. If you compare it to those in the City and suburbs it doesn't really hold a torch. But you can run in and find things here and there. But don't expect to find the latest in fashion or a huge selection. It is pretty neat though I will give it that. I did have an unfortunate circumstance where a lady brought her dog in I asked if it was a service dog and she said no so I brought it to the attention of a manager and I would have expected them to ask her to leave immediately or take the dog outside because I told them I am extremely allergic. But instead they let her finish shopping and her checkout process and then leave. I felt like it was all about the bottom line. Dogs are not children and do not get to go into stores! I am tired of my health being put at risk because people think that they can bring their little creatures everywhere because they think they're cute. They try to explain that they don't shed or they are the non-allergic breed but for those of us who are deathly allergic there is no such thing. We carry epipens for a reason. That is why I took one star off of my review. Otherwise I would say pop in if you feel like you have time to wander around and look for some new clothes or a few items for your home.

Store itself is untidy like the other Marshalls but overall it is in a pretty good condition. What made me give 1 star is because of the employees. I don’t want to bring everyone down so I will give out the name. Ms Anita the Coordinator was at the register and after she heard me and my friends speak in our native language she started acting extremely weird and rude. Although I answered her first question in English she continued to explain things by using only her hand gestures and asked if I speak English. At one point I told her that I do speak English so she doesn’t need to use gestures, she tried to wiggle her way out of the situation where she looked extremely racist in my opinion. After these conversations, she also asked my friend if she speaks English like previous convos didn’t happen. I’ve experienced racism before but I felt even worse this time because I had my friends with me as well. I hope she sees this and considers her future attitude towards foreigners and natives alike.

Store is understaffed with a group of managers clearly observing line 10 people long and doing nothing to resolve it. This is unacceptable customer service and created a horrible experience. Do not shop at this store. *Update* After receiving multiple phone calls and Tweets, the district and store leadership have gone above and beyond to address this issue. I as a fellow retail manager hold other stores to the same standard that I'm held to, and I am pleased that they took this issue seriously, especially because it happened twice in one day - (to my Husband shopping solo, and then when we went back to get things that we needed the car for).

I have always loved shopping at Marshalls. Similar to going to the thrift store. So taking your time to look around. Your sure to find a bargain. This particular trip was to buy gifts for a best friend. And under $50 found 4 perfect gifts for him. Use to shop for my disabled mother in the 80s'. And was always able to find a spectacular dress for her. Spending only around 20 to 30 dollars. Happy shopping. Don't take more than you want to spend. Always something you didn't think of at a poor man's price with a champagne taste. *_+

The salespeople are always friendly and helpful. Sadly for them, they have to deal with many who are the lowest level of human beings—people with wild ill behaved children, people who are just plain stupid, disrespectful of merchandise and everything else. It’s located in a high crime area and I’ve been in there when the bouncer-guard was chasing someone as he steals merchandise without a care or conscience. The good part is that they don’t recognize top brands so you have a chance of finding great products.

As with any discount retailer it's always going to be hit or miss. Marshall's usually always a hit bit this or was a miss for me and what I was looking for. I would have given the store 5 stars but when I got to the register the clerk asked me if I found everything okay and I replied no. The cashier just kinda looked at me for all of a second and didn't say another word. The cashier should not be asking questions that she may not have the answer to; not if she's going to ignore the customer.

My wife’s wallet was stollen while shopping in this store. I was shocked to learn there were no Security Guards in the store. NONE!! It is well known that, at this particular store, Security would be certainly necessary. I can imagine the shop lifting going on. The thieves are very sophisticated there. I’m certain Marshall’s will just pass their loss off to the customer like most stores do. How.unsafe this store is. The manager appeared to be so helpless about this situation.

For the simplicity in the merchandise arrangements ; its affordable prices for the aaverage 'John Doe's'; bright lightings; demographic positioinings of target market choices(shopping interests); clean floors visibility for customers and their families to walk around in comfort: you make it your closet and the staff shall clean any mess thereof with gladness to include requests and assistance. Great store for all of Chicago and Illinois's sports teams. They sell a wide variety of products from clothes shoes hats calendars to souvenir cups plates and sleeping bags. The staff works hard to replace sold out stock. Matshalls offers incredible deals each day. Their hours of operation are very convient and expand during the Christmas season. They also offer a great selection of house hold goods such bedding kitchen ware and bathroom necessities. Attend!!!

I'm not crazy about Marshall's. I'm not sure what's on the women clothes buyer's mind. Nothing fits, usually cheesey to me. Not attractive. Housewares okay. Also I bought a pair of Steve Madden Espidril sandals black suede, ankle strap. I think I paid 24.99 sale or 19.99? Not sure. When I got home, the complete buckle was missing on one strap and there is a white substance that will not bulge. I think the Sales Associates should look over sale items more.

I love this department store. They have a great selection of cosmetics, clothes, and household items (amongst other things). This is a great place to kill time and do a little shopping. They always have high end brands for very cheap, and I've never been disappointed with anything I've bought there. 10/10 would recommend! Also its usually pretty clean in there. They keep it organized, the staff are nice, and the shelves are typically pretty full.

Smaller location but has a good selection. I primarily shop at Marshall's for beauty products and was able to find some great high end products, though I did have to dig through the displays (I don't mind, its part of the fun). I found this location easier to browse than the Belmont/Lakeview and Rush/Michigan locations I usually shop as there wasn't as many people in the store. Staff are super friendly, 10/10 will be back soon!

It's pretty much hit or miss. Bought great stuff for reasonable prizes a few times, and at the same time bought a winter coat a couple years ago for about $75, looked nice, felt nice, but the zipper broke two months after that and nobody would fix it for less than $45. Total loss. Staff are not unfriendly, just reluctant to open new registers when long lines of customers are waiting for a long time.

Marshalls is a store that is value and price are great , with the items they have on stock an on floor, your find great price's on shoes , clothes , winter items, sales , even those new items shoes , dresses ,coats different style , How Employee work they do their job work to get the job done, getting satisfaction helping customer and make sure they have what they need. for that day...

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I attempted to return a pair of pants that I have NEVER WORN, let alone can get up to my waist. And they said they were worn. When I told them that I must have bought them that way they refused to give me my money back. I will never shop at this location again because of this absolutely horrendous experience. Thanks for the WASTE OF MONEY!

Average cleanliness, organization, and stock. Service leaves something to be desired. Won't be going back because employees aren't properly versed in return policy. Also act like the money (even store credit) is coming out of their pocket. Online the policy is standard but I don't have time to argue with a zealous employee. If you do then enjoy.

One can always find something to purchase at Marshall's. The staff is friendly and helpful. However the store could be more tidy. I mostly frequent this store for various pet items. Recently, the pet section has gotten smaller, there are fewer items to choose from, and it seems that the prices have gone up dramatically.

Overall the store is clean and usually everyone is friendly. But today when I entered I was face with suspicion by the manager. Whom followed me in the store then called top notch security. Which was sitting outside when I left with my purchase.Not once did she ask me did I need any help. Petty theft is not my thing.

I don't like the way Marshall mark items up ! Then be talking about clearance and you can go to Citi trends and get a better deal with a real clearance price! I don't shop there too often, some items don't have prices marked on them and they charge whatever they want. Get it straighten out and price your items.

It has improved after the pandemic. For years you had only a small supply. A little better now. They don’t even have many holiday cards any longer. Limited supplies. Quick counter clerks. Long lines. Lovely things as always. Prices have gone up. Nice store and enjoy going there for unique gifts and supplies.

Rude staff. One of my items had 2 different prices so I asked about that and the staff were rude and didn’t accommodate the shopper. They charged me for the higher price. Once I was exiting, 3 of the staff that were in the front didn’t say thank you. Not a welcoming location.

Shopping was alright prices Kinda high but when you want something good you never looked at the price you just buy what you want , and the people that works there awesome like always very good people and always please to help you with a nice smile like always...

The people that work here are the most unprofessional people i have ever met. Manager doesn’t even know what she is doing worst experience ever. As a loyal customer from this store is a shame they don’t have the same customer service experience in all stores.

It's a good place to shop for all kinds of needs, only downside is inventory is limited and theres no guarantee that those items will be there the next time you come back, but for the most part theres an assortment of home needs, and clothing, awesome store.

Deals and bargains are always available here. The merchandise can be top notch, but you need to look for it. I have been coming here for years. It not for the customer service or the speed of check out. It is only because of the potentials deals.

I know Marshall's is an outlet store but this location is an outlet store for Marshall's. They have a lot less options than other locations. Staff are great though. Store is clean. Just not much in there compared to the others.

Good deals if you look on the clearance racks cashier super slow only 1 cashier tho. Employees are constantly staring and watching customers. I guess they think people are stealing. They are pushing the credit applications too

Standard Marshall's with real bargains for men, women, housewares, and novelties. This is still a great chain, with emphasis on the basics. I was there recently, and aside from somewhat lower stock, not much has changed.

I love this store! Been shopping here for twenty years and it's always been great. It's been upgraded over the past year or so and it is very clean, neat, and organized. I always find great bargains when I ship here.

Today I observed the security harassing an older man sitting on a bench in front of the store. He was not bothering anyone and he was not homeless. It’s inexcusable. Never going back there. They are mean and scary.

Clean, organized location. Friendly staff. Small but nice selection of womans and mens apparel. Small but amazing selection of salon womens hair products at super low rates. Would definitely recommend.

This is the best Marshall's I've found. I find good stuff for me as well as kids. I haven't experienced the best customer service from management, but i do enjoy the selections.

This store has improved, it no longer looks ravaged by lions. More organized, cleaner. You can find name brands for much less. Inventory changes frequently.

Bad attention. The employer dont help me to find just a box for sandals that I want ti buy. I feel that in this store are racis with Hispanic people .

The great selection in this store keeps me going there every week. I find everything from gifts, clothing, shoes and even a nice jar of german honey.
