We bought a “Banh My” here and It’s unbelievable I have had “banh my” many places over Australia and this is the worst store ever! The bread is super soft and cold. I asked the staff to heat it up a bit and she put in the microwave to make it softer most of the store they grill it to make it hot and crunchy. The roast pork is weird and bad. I couldn’t eat it at all. It’s so wasted. Yesterday I visited Hong Ha store next door. It tasted super good. My partner asked me to support other store around that’s why I visited here. Sadly, I had to throw it away and came to Hong Ha store to buy another one for my breakfast. Hope this store has a improvement.

I've been going to mascot bakery now for a number of years and they have always been excellent. Very generous with all their fillings. Very tasty and you never had to wait too long unfortunately unlike now. The new owners that have taken over the last couple of months. are way too slow The finished product is still excellent, but the last few times I have visited a number of people have walked out not wanting to wait because the serving staff are just so slow. They would also also benefit by brushing up on their grasp of the English language, I'm sure would also speed things up. Christine

Great banh mi - both the crispy pork roll ($7.50) and grilled chicken roll ($7.50) were generous on the meat, and had a good amount of pickled carrots, cucumber, coriander and everything else. Ample amount of pate too. They also put a little bit of shallot oil, I think (Mỡ Hành - the kind that goes on grilled meats). Everything was in good ratio. Only thing would be the roll was soft and not crispy, but otherwise, excellent! Service from the husband and wife duo is kind and friendly too.

I have tried all three Bahn Mi stores across the street. I must say, compared to the competitors nearby, Mascot Bakery has the best Banh Mi. We tried both pork and chicken rolls, and both-are-amazing. Tasty and saucy from north-to-south, generous portion of chilies, fresh veggies. The thing I love most from this place is the wholemeal bread, which gives more dynamic to the taste. Overall, it's a great choice for breakfast or brunch! 5/5 Will definitely visit this place again soon.

Staff/manager is absolutely rude, rolling her eyes when asking for a simple request. The staff member used tongs for a product that I was unable to eat and asked her in a very kind manner to use a different set of tongs if possible, she did not like this and rolled her eyes and rudely said “only because you said please”. This is disgraceful customer service and I will not be coming here anymore, I will also let others know not to waste their time here.

By far one of the best, if not THE best Bahn Mi I have ever had in Sydney. We just happened to be passing by and stopped in. Staff we very friendly and welcoming and had a little chat with me and my partner. The rolls were so soft and fluffy, and they absolutely filled the roll. It's the most filled bahn mi. I had it 3 hours ago, and I'm still full. Will absolutely be making my way back to this place.

Tried to buy Pork roll, eventually ended Ip having salad roll. Told the lady not to offer roast pork because flies were sitting on the meat. Despite that she was persuasive that it’s just now. I told now or earlier doesn’t matter yet she was offering pulled pork. Really turn off. Health authorities should visit the place. Not hygienic.

Best hot bread in sydney! Generous serve, delicious bbq chicken and amazing crispy pork, you won’t find anything similar elsewhere Living in mascot for 10 years and having 150 rolls per year this is still my lunch favorite Much better than the one with long queue

  • John Callaghan

This is our go to place for banh mi when we are nearby. The rolls are super tasty and generously filled. Really friendly proprietors, always greeting you with a welcome smile. The service is speedy so don't be put off if there are a number of customers waiting.

My favourite Vietnamese bread roll in Mascot. I’ve had Hong ha, Marrickville pork roll and destination roll. The chicken roll ($6) is my absolute favourite here and the family who own this place work tirelessly to offer fresh and tasty rolls. Highly recommend!

WOW-WOW-WOW-WOW-WOW!!!!! Without doubt the best roast pork roll I have ever had in my entire life.... Fantastic friendly service with a smile too. Nothing in Sydney comes near this. I know where I’m coming to from now on

  • Mattie Ho

Good Bakery and offering excellent banh mi without the line of the shop down the road. Crispy pork roll was exceptional with good crunch from the crackle and generous pate. Coupled with a Vietnamese I've coffee, excellent combo

  • racka hattori

Forget their normal porkroll. It's subpar, dry and bland. Hong Ha have them beat. What is amazing is their crackling pork skin roll. It's one of the best around, even better than Hong Ha hence my four star rating.

  • Manny Bustamante

accidentally ordered the honey pork which was the best accident of my life, pork was deceptively super flavourful with all the condiments being fresh crisp, amazingly priced with super friendly ladies to serve you

  • Jessica Chan

Incredibly disappointing. Soft soggy roll. Skimpy on the filling, forgets to put coriander and overall flavour is inauthentic. Waste of a meal. Should have known when there's lettuce and red onion …

Phenomenal banh mi! Literally the heaviest banh mi I’ve ever held and I’ve held a lot of banh mis! Generous filling, big juicy daikon radish and layers of yummy pâté. Can’t wait for the next one ❤️

  • Vybs S

We went here first time cause we couldn't be bothered lining up for Hong Ha on the other end of the road. The filling is so much more worth the $$. The Vietnamese iced coffee also is really good!

BBQ Pork and Crispy Pork rolls are great and always have plenty of meat and tasty filling plus you don’t have to wait anywhere near as long as Hong Ha.

Have returned a number of times for the Roast Pork Rolls. Have to be the best I've ever tasted, the best you'll get in Mascot and surrounding suburbs.
