Just moved to Phoenix from STV and have 3-4 MEs close by, so I called them all, but no luck getting a couples massage (either no couples rooms at the smaller MEs, or COVID restrictions). So dh and I are on the hunt for our new ‘fave’ MTs (no complaint there, as we each have many saved up from not pausing memberships during COVID!). I figured it would take a few ‘trials’ before finding new favorite massage therapists. Nope! No time at all! I saw Pemika for a facial, followed by Sara for a 90min. They both set the bar HIGH, and it was a great afternoon (I even forgot about all the stress from moving!!). UPDATE: had David for a 90min and it was amazing. He did exactly what I asked…very intuitive MT…and I could tell he was responsive to what each of my ‘naughty’ muscle groups were doing. :D After massages I tend to feel achy for a day or two after (even with lots of water and stretching). But not the case with David…woke up the next day feeling great. No achy muscles and had more energy! UPDATE: A few weeks ago I tx a credit to my mom who was here from out of state. Relaxing massage with Ruth and mom chose a facial with Pemika. When we were checking out there was ZERO pressure for my mom to join. EVERY other Massage Envy has pressured my guests into joining afterwards…and that’s not a relaxing way to check out. >:( Overall, I’m VERY happy with the Moon Valley ME…smaller than others but conveniently located, with ample parking, and an adjacent St*rbucks. One other thing I appreciated: Pemika and the front desk staff answered my skin care product questions with NO pressure to purchase! Very unusual…and again…quite refreshing compared to other sites who push the $$$$ products!! (How do the other Massage Envy’s NOT realize their 1-2 hours of work de-stressing someone starts to immediately unravel when they do this…?) When I do start hyaluronic products, I will absolutely buy from Moon Valley (espec since the ‘meh’ Murad line is gone). Excellent decision, ME! Your shelves were long overdue for a facelift, and it appears they took their demographic into consideration when purchasing better products to offer! LOVE the new lines and the wellness tools and happy I can get those amazing Spongelles there instead of online :) UPDATE: Yest was a 90-min with Kunisha and oh boy!...did she take care of my entire spine! She stopped my lumbar muscle spasms fast, and it no longer feels likes a knife is lodged in me where I had surgery a few months ago. She’s VERY experienced and intuitive, and I swear she could tell when I ever-so-slightly tensed up a bit in tender areas. She adjusted to lighter pressure before I could even ask her to! She's also a super calm presence... and it put me at ease immediately!

Genuinely worst massage experience of my life. I was in a ton of pain today and desperately needed a massage. I tried to book online for an appointment in a few days with someone listed as being able to do firm pressure. I was not able to figure out how to use my gift card online so I called to make that same appointment. When I called they said they could get me in today if I wanted. I told them that according to the website, they had nothing available today with someone who could do firm pressure. They assured me that one of the massage therapists does do firm pressure, so I booked, and left work early to make the appointment. As I said, I was in a lot of pain. When I get there, the massage therapist asks me if I had any areas of pain, to which I responded I had extremely tight shoulders/upper back and I wanted the focus to be on that with firm/deep pressure. I got the exact opposite. She had extremely light pressure. I can stress enough how light the pressure was. It felt like a small child was rubbing their hand across my body. Additionally, she spent well over half the time on my legs and arms. Both of which I did not mention at all. I genuinely am so upset at the waste of time and money. To add, she brought me back to the room at 2:05, we spent a min or 2 talking, and I got under the table probably around 2:10. She ended the massage at 2:52. She told me to come out when I was ready, she was no where in sight, so I just paid and left. I’ve never not been greeted with water after a massage (which isn’t a huge deal…just the icing on the cake). I truly am so upset at this experience and would not recommend massage envy to anyone. Editing to add: I just looked online and my therapist is listed as “light to medium.” When I called, I specifically clarified that the person recommended to me could do deep tissue and that it was added to the notes. Deep tissue is no where near what she was actually listed as. Maybe the massage was objectively good for a light/medium massage, it was was not what I wanted or asked for.

while the massage itself was fine, the manager's behavior completely ruined the experience for me. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, which left a bad taste in my mouth. When I arrived, I was told that my massage therapist was running late and that I would have to wait a few extra minutes. I didn't mind waiting, but the manager was incredibly dismissive and seemed annoyed that I had even asked about the delay. They didn't offer any apologies or explanation for the delay, which made me feel like my time wasn't valued. After my massage, I had a question about the pricing of a package deal that was advertised in the spa menu. When I asked the manager about it, they snapped at me and said that it was a mistake in the menu and that they wouldn't honor the price. They didn't offer any alternative solutions or try to make things right, which felt incredibly unprofessional. Overall, the manager's rude behavior made me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. It's a shame, because the massage itself was fine, but I wouldn't recommend this spa to anyone based on my experience with the manager.

Would not even recommend at all. Doesn’t even deserve one star. This was my first and last experience at massage envy. I reached there, filled out questionnaire. Therepist came started explaining about the facial service. However, she didn’t share late policy that she is NOT going to spend 60 minutes for my facial neither receptionist explained when I booked the appointment not she explained when I enter as I was late for 15 minutes due to traffic. If I knew, would have booked other slot. She started my facial and in between I asked if she is going to remove black heads then she told me she doesn’t even have enough time to spend on my facial. 60 minutes facial wrapped up in 25 minutes and she kept saying that she has to take care of other customer. How about the customer who is already with you taking service? This is how the service is at massage envy. I spent $75 for nothing, there is no improvement after facial, very poor quality Better to find out that place where the quality is better.

First of all, the atmosphere was very unwelcoming and uninviting. The lighting was harsh and the music was loud and not relaxing at all. But the worst part was the massage itself. The therapist seemed completely disinterested in giving a good massage. They were rough and clumsy, and kept checking their phone during the massage. It was extremely unprofessional and made me feel like I was just wasting my time and money. To top it off, the massage ended abruptly and the therapist didn't even bother to ask if I wanted any water or if I had any questions. It was clear that they just wanted to get me out of there as quickly as possible. Overall, I would not recommend this spa or this massage therapist to anyone. It was a complete waste of time and money, and I left feeling more stressed and tense than when I arrived.

An absolutely wonderful session with massage therapist Margaret Lee! She was very attentive to what I wanted insofar as the correct amount of pressure to apply and the areas I needed focused on. I had decided to try the Rapid Tension Relief add-on to my massage session, and due to some very sore muscles it was too painful with the machine. She was more than willing to let me guide her in not using it after we saw how it just wasn't working for my current needs. I intend to revisit that add-on in a future session when I'm not so sore from taking a fall. I always request appointments with either Margaret Lee or Ruth at this location, as I've found both to be awesome, and have already scheduled another appointment with each. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was my very first experience getting a massage and all I really wanted was to be completely relaxed because I work with people all day and I am constantly talking to people all day so I was expecting to just be in a quiet room and get a massage, but instead the lady that gave me my massage talked to me the entire time and was giving me her whole life story. Which I didn’t want to be rude and ask her to stop because again this was my first time even getting a massage but I ended up not being relaxed at all and having to talk when I just wanted peace and relaxation. I probably won’t be coming back to this massage envy because I didn’t enjoy my experience at all and didn’t help me relax one bit

Went for a massage today. Taken back at 10 talked for 2 or so mins with therapist then got undressed and on bed at 10:05 My therapist did not seem into it all, barely spent any time on anything . At 10:43 she said she was done and left the room. In my calculation that is a 38 min massage not 60 mins. Hated spending a credit on that lackluster and quick massage. I’m finding this happening more and more. The last time I went to desert ridge for a facial the girl barely did anything and no extractions and voila I was done. I feel like the therapists are junk. Won’t be getting a membership and my husband will be cancelling his as well. Tiffany Sullivan

From the time I booked the appointment to the moment I left I was very impressed with the staff! Massage Envy sent me all the info I needed to check in (covid stuff) so I was able to walk right in and was immediately greeted by Kaitlyn! She is a very talented massage therapist and communicates very well. I received an amazing massage and even got some tips to help in between sessions! I plan on returning to this specific location as frequently as possible and big thanks again to the staff and Kaitlyn!

After I was hit by a drunk driver, I was very tense and sore, and although I waited I was not improving. As a busy mother of an energetic toddler, I don't get a lot of time to really relax. I decided to set an appointment to get a massage and was able to book a nice long session almost immediately. I had them focus on my shoulders but they did a full body massage as well and it really helped release my tension. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about getting a massage.

Ruth was my massage therapist. Ruth was professional she provided me with excellent service. She massaged my back, arms, and neck which, put me to sleep the massage was that great. The front desk staff were professional as well. The staff greeted me as I walked in the door making me feel welcomed. The visit was right on time. I didn’t have to wait long at all. Wow! First let me just say that my back was incredibly sore. Yesterday was my first massage in a long time. I so needed it! Cristen was so amazing! By far the best massage I’ve ever gotten hands down! I walked out feeling so much better. The right amount of touch was perfect. Not to hard not to soft. It was exactly what I asked for. Today I feel like a million bucks! My back feels better and I’ll definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and book with Cristen!

Love Kenesha she is amazing & is a true healer! Sadly, I canceled my membership. I feel strong about personal rights and don’t agree with mask mandates for those working or those going in. I cannot comply and continue a membership with a company that forces this upon individuals. Fabric masks have been proven that they do more harm than good! I had with a massage with Margaret and she was disrespectful and Insulted my skin the entire time. I understand it is their job to recommend other services and products but it doesn’t have to be done in a rude fashion. She made me very uncomfortable during the massage and therefore was not able to enjoy it. She also stopped my session early and went MIA when it was time to walk me back up to the front.

I have always really loved the Moon Valley location.This was the first time I tried a facial. I had Rachel and she was amazing. She explained all of the different options. I went with Jan Marini products and I really wanted to focus on brightening. I’m one day post facial right now and my skin is glowing. I’ve already booked my next appointment and can’t wait to try the nourishing light treatment.

Noel essentially eliminated my need for a chiropractor. Instead of every week at chiro I could go every two weeks to Noel and eventually once a month. Back pain emergencies, over the course of a few months, basically disappeared and now a couple of years later - completely gone. He keeps you talking to improve your breathing so as to keep oxygen levels up. Noel is truly an amazing artist.

I have been so happy with my membership here because of the results I’m getting from monthly facials with Pemika. It’s such a relaxing experience, but most importantly the condition and tone of my skin has improved a lot in the last year I’ve been coming regularly. She gives a great facial, but also gives advice on home treatments and products. I won’t trust my skin to anyone else now!

Straightforward massage experience. Check in, wait in the relaxation room, get your massage, pay. You can get exactly what pay for, relaxation and a massage. Minerva was great, she doesn’t do hard pressure but it still felt nice and was just enough pressure for my sore spots. I was bargained with for the membership rate which was a good offer if I planned to get massages monthly.

I have been coming to Massage Envy both in Wisconsin and Arizona for many years. I have been lucky enough to have had some really good massage therapists but Willie is by far the best I have had. Kaitlyn is by far the best sports injury therapist I’ve ever seen. For the first time in years I have gotten true relief after a few deep tissue sessions with her. I have signed up for a membership and am looking forward to my next appointment as soon as it is booked. Kunisha was great! Came from a bad massage experience, and this was quite the opposite she was very professional and the massage felt great. She asked me about what I wanted to get worked on and why before hand then attended to those areas and as well explained what could be causing the soreness and future ways to prevent it. Finally found my massage therapist! Margaret has excellent technique, listens, technique as amazing as my previous therapist. Will definitely continue seeing her! Kaitlin is amazing as well, she knows what your muscles need, gives great advice, just like Margaret. So, if one isn't available, the other is going to give you the relaxation you need.

Great place with great service. Yea the price has gone up, inflation I get it, but it is the cheapest you can get at such high professional standards. I signed up and feel better already about my health. I'm a caregiver/medtech and going to nursing school, I have a ton of stress. Knowing each month I can get a massage makes me feel a ton better.

This is the best massage experience I've had! I thought there were only a couple spots where my body was tight, but Noel found many other spots where my body was super tight.
