Our work with Chanda Johnson spanned an 8 month period in 2023 involving the purchase of a new home, renovating and adding a room on to it –and then the sale of our existing home. First and foremost Chanda was honest, transparent, and an exceptional communicator – her integrity and good nature was the foundation of our working relationship. Since our involvement spanned most of 2023 she periodically monitored and updated comps and projections for the value of our home that she sold on our behalf. When we expressed doubts about our ability to manage the redesign and renovations of the new home she offered design assistance, consultation, and volunteered to sit in on all planning meetings with our General Contractor – she attended most every meeting and her design assistance proved invaluable. Chanda is a no drama, practical problem solver – any issues that came up – she helped think them through and if she said she would do something to help solve a problem – she did it – always. Her memory and recall of even the smallest details was excellent, even over many months and many other clients she served – she made us feel as though we were her highest priority! If all of this wasn’t enough value added to the relationship, we relied heavily on her extensive network of trades people for everything from yardwork to electrical work. She even found buyers for much of the furniture that we were unable to use in our smaller new home. Chanda is knowledgeable, personable, and works hard to create a favorable outcome for everyone involved in the transaction. She has our highest recommendation and we would rely on her services if needed in the future.

We worked with Jess Martin in both the buying of our new home and the selling of our old home, and can truly say she went above and beyond. Buying our current house was an easier process; we went to an open house, were interested in purchasing, and Jess consulted with us to help us determine what a fair (but winning) offer would be, while helping us write a solid offer letter — including a contingency on selling our old house. Selling our house was more stressful, and we can truly say we don't know how we would've done it without direction and support from Jess. Outside of normal realtor responsibilities (listing the house, providing guidance on pricing, promoting the listing, etc.), Jess shined most when we finally received an offer. There were a lot of negotiations and back-and-forth that happened, and Jess truly went to bat for us in every way possible — from getting us the offer we needed to make the deal work (which included working with the buyers to help with financing beyond what their realtor had provided), helping us through inspections, and even getting contractors out to evaluate the inspection findings and make the repairs needed. Jess is a top-tier realtor, and one of the hardest-working people I've ever encountered across any industry. Her guidance throughout this process was invaluable, and I will recommend her to anyone looking for a realtor who they know they can trust to provide them support from end-to-end of buying or selling a home.

The one thing I can say throughout this home buying process is that Carissa's energy and focus is not here to sell you on a house. She wants you to find YOUR home. The place you will see yourself grow, build and thrive for years to come. From the first meeting, she had all the right questions to not only get us thinking about what we wanted in a home but also the things we never thought about when starting this journey.
