"A beautiful spot to picnic"
"What a surprise when we stopped there"
"Quiet, cicadas, you and nature"
"Lovely peaceful place for a day out with family and friends overlooking the river"
"Nice spot but can get busy during weekends and holidays"
A beautiful spot to picnic. Lots of parking, shaded tables, toilets. Taps for water, says bbq facilities however these are basically a brick pit with a metal grill plate, you need to bring your own wood. Grill plates very rusted with age, personally I wouldn't cook on these but if you brought along a frypan or 2 that might work. In all a great spot to picnic for a few hours.. No official swimming area, however one could go for a dip.. best views are high tide for sure !!
What a surprise when we stopped there. We were not expecting to find such an amazing place. One of the most peaceful place I have been around Sydney. The water is calm. Atmosphere is relax. People having barbecues, playing with dogs.... it was almost sunset and the lights were so good. We could admire the splendid houses that are along the River. Perfect spot for a picnic or just read a book.
Quiet, cicadas, you and nature. A place for family or a solo wanderer . Grab a chair, a book and enjoy the breeze and the shadows of the eucalyptus trees. This is a hidden spot worth visiting and protecting. Toilet facilities. Awesome for kayaking and SUP, not so much for swimming unless you protect your feet from oysters.
Restrooms
Proper council toilets
Lovely peaceful place for a day out with family and friends overlooking the river. Good parking space. Clean toilets. Be careful of the oyster shells if you plan to get in the water. You can fish here too and catch a few on your lucky day.
Nice spot but can get busy during weekends and holidays. A creek and hill forms the backdrop with park you can swim, have a picnic - or just sit under the big trees and read a book. Dogs about and also watch for the odd kookaburra.
We stumbled upon this reserve on our way to the barrenjoey lighthouse and it was a wonderful discovery. Peaceful reserve and a great place to spend a relaxing time with the family and an opportunity to go for a dip.
Amazing place for relaxation with lots of parking. You can enjoy a picnic here or aquatic sports ♂️ . Dogs are allowed here and fishing . Toilet amenities are available. …
Beautiful spot for a paddle (I have a sup)and my Frenchie could have a play on land . Toilets and water on tap available . Picnic tables scattered throughout . Really enjoyed my paddle . Beautiful day .
Simply beautiful. Have to pay manned toll to use the road however you might get to see a celebrity while there as it appears to be the playground for the rich and famous
What an amazing place to spend the day On the water quite and so nice The trip to get here is relaxing by itself Get the BBQ with you and come and spend the perfect day
A beautiful quiet spot for a stand up paddle or swim. Not too many fish if your planning on trying. Heaps of parking and just a great spot for a nice picnic.
Best place to be in hot days as lots of shady spots. Calm water best for kids’ fishing and swimming and kayaking. Wood fire BBQ available on site.
Beautiful place to hang out by yourself or with family/families. Good parking area...however have to come bit early to hold of it easily...
Great spot with nice facilities for kayaking, paddle boarding or just a family gathering and a picnic. Nice scenery and easy parking.
Nice park with firewood/ charcoal bbq areas. Bbqs have a solid metal plate to cook on it. Check the fire ban restrictions before go.
This place is beautiful and quiet, water front picnic area gives you a chance to relax. There are restrooms available.
It's a very nice area, with water view but full of mosquitoes and insects. I won't go there for picnic any more.
Limited parking but with decent toilets. It's a lush green nature reserve with interesting trees for exploring.
Such a beautiful spot . Im not telling anyone about it to stays quiet and relax …
Always loved coming down here for a fish and a bbq
Good place to relax with water views
