What an absolute disgrace. No one at ‘drive thru’ yet we sat there for an amount of time before being served. I then ordered, “a large cheeseburger meal with Vanilla Coke, a medium McCafe skinny latte and a banana bread.” The man read my order back to me and told me the banana bread couldn’t be toasted which wasn’t an issue, I hadn’t asked for it to be. Then he left. Nothing on the screen to show my order or how much I had to pay. He didn’t tell me how much I had to pay. He simply left. Got to the window and the young girl said something I didn’t understand. After repeating and gesturing numerous times I realised she was asking me to check my order on the screen. The screen was blank. I told her this and she replied, “I don’t know why” I paid. Still not knowing how much I had to pay. Then I waited. No receipt was offered. So I asked for one. The girl said, “I come back” and she left. She returned shortly with a receipt. That was when I realised I’d been charged $4:15 for a banana bread. The screen at ‘drive thru’ stated banana bread was $3:50 when ordered with a McCafe medium coffee. Forward to the collection window. A bag was shoved at me through the window by another girl which before I took it I mentioned the discrepancy with the payment. She walked away and returned with a bearded bloke in a grey shirt who I assumed was the shift manager. He handed me a dollar coin, no words were spoken. He then shoved my coffee and banana bread at me and walked away. I called out asking for the cheeseburger meal which he snatched off the bench and shoved through the window. No words were uttered by him. We did make eye contact briefly and I raised my eyebrows but he turned and walked away. Then I had to ask for the drink. The girl told me I hadn’t ordered one. I knew I had so did the person who took my order, they’d not written it on the receipt. Why would a person order a meal and not have a drink? She rudely shoved the Vanilla Coke at me and I assured her I would be speaking to Management. If anyone can actually tell me who that is and put me in contact I’d be very appreciative. I don’t want anything. I won’t go near your dirty, poorly run, rudely and ineptly staffed establishment again. What I’d like is to provide some ideas on actually running a food outlet and the provision of customer service.

It seemed that the staff failed to pay attention to the specific details of our order. To add to the frustration, our nuggets were missing from the delivery. We had to go inside the store to request them, which defeated the purpose of using the drive-through. When we finally received the nuggets, the accompanying sauce containers were barely filled - only about 1/8 full. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service and accuracy of our order at this Maccas location. The staff's lack of attention to detail and communication skills turned what should have been a convenient, fast-food experience into a frustrating ordeal. I hope that the management will address these issues to prevent similar experiences for future customers. For now, I would hesitate to recommend this particular Maccas to friends and family.

Just went to McDonalds Moonah to pick up a luncheon. 2 large fries cost me $9.10 yet when I arrived home both had been thrown into bag sideways and when the loose chips were put back in their containers, each was only 1/3rd full! That's daylight robbery. McDonalds need to spend less on advertising and more on paying their staff a wage that makes them feel like doing a god job. Pay employees a decent wage and they'll feel appreciated and then perhaps you'll find they care about the meals they're preparing instead of just slinging them together asap and hoping no one complains. I can't believe the counter staff refused to give me a paltry tiny little tub of special sauce for the fries, as though it were the lifeblood of Ronald's firstborn, defensively citing their specific purpose as an addition to nuggets only. Yeah? How about being as scrupulous providing customers with what they've paid to receive? Moonah was the first McDonalds ever to open in Tasmania (after a local business holder refused to relinquish to them the business name) but you'd think however much they paid for the right to sell here wasn't worth a dead fly, considering the routinely terrible job done by staff at this particular outlet, as the plethora or negative reviews on here attest to.

This is literally the worst Mcdonalds I've ever been to in Tasmania. First trip there we did 3 separate orders on drive through, they left out one completely and had to get my roommate to go in and get it. Thought fair enough mistakes happens its all good. Second time, i was put in waiting bay for 10 mins only to get out food and get home and realise its the wrong order completely. Third time, we get out drinks and are told to go to the waiting bay, my drink is a thickshake and its fully melted, nothing thick about it, lady comes to the window with wrong order, we say not our order, they ask what we had, so i tell them and i ask for them to remake my thickshake. They come back with a thickshake thats even more melted, and tell us they've lose our order and can't find it anywhere, so another 15 mins in the waiting bay. Today I ordered off doordash, spent $6 on a frappe with extra cream only for it to come with normal amountnof cream and no straw I never like to leave bad reviews, I've worked at a McDonalds before so I know how stressful it is and that mistake can happens, but everytime I go here its an absolute joke. Pick up some slack.

Order 3 fudge type cakes from the do it yourself order machine to be told that they don’t have these types in store. Order 1 large cappuccino only to have three delivered !! Order 2 slushy only to be told machine was not working. I had to go in search of the original slushy order as they did not bring to me (I had selected delivery to table) after 30 min of waiting!! Instead I asked for 2 apple juices and could not get the lids off to remove seal. Had to ask for help from fellow customers including a strong man!) but they could not either. Ended up at the counter and finally the second staff member eventually opened it. (Hope no one had COID without all that handling!!). It took 45 mins of staggered deliveries to table etc of me going back and forth to the counter etc to get our drinks/food!!!!!! I could see they were busy, but no excuses. I had two young children with me in the play area which I had to keep an eye through the window whilst going back and forth. Totally unacceptable!!

I usually go by the motto ’If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all.’ and so I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but unfortunately I can’t say anything good about them. Five times over the past few months we’ve ordered from Moonah Macca’s and every time they have either missed something in our order or put the wrong items in. One time the wrong thing was a coke instead of a salted caramel frappe. Another they didn’t put in the syrups or butter to go with the hotcakes and they forgot two burgers. Another time 2x sausage and egg muffins were ordered and the muffins came with just the sausage patty and no egg. And don’t get me started on the time that we waited over an hour for our order through Uber. After several attempts from myself trying to contact them and the phone ringing out, and the Uber driver going inside to talk to them, Maccas cancelled the order and said the store was closed. A 24/7 store was apparently closed. Uber then refunded me, apologised and gave credit for the inconvenience. So yeah, I do not recommend this store.

I'm not big on fast food and rarely ever eat at McDonald's however, a couple of months ago whilst our car was having a tyre change up the road, my mum and I decided to walk along to this store for a coffee. I can honestly say I would never go back here, I witnessed the manager serving food and ordering staff around which is all good however, when I went to the toilet that same manager was in the ladies emptying bins and cleaning toilets with her service apron on. I watched on in disbelief as she exited the bathroom and walked straight behind the cafe counter and served customers. This is like the highest level of cross-contamination. I was in 2 minds as to report to the health department but didn't want to get the girl in trouble. I made a vow never to eat at this restaurant years ago as a cousin of mine worked here for years and her personal hygiene was absolutely repulsive so I knew they weren't fussy with staff but this latest incident is a whole new ball game.

We did a multi order in the drive the first thing that happened was the lady in front of us complained that her ham and cheese toasty that the ham was grey, my snack wrap the crispy chicken was inedible so hard I could not eat it the fries where old they forgot my second fries in the happy meal, my iced chocolate was not oat milk it was full cream I can’t not have dairy so I couldn’t have it but then we had to go in 4 times the first time was that the no sugar coke was regular coke, could have been a diabetic and then they forgot our yogurt and the hamburger, then we asked for extra pickles on the burger and we didn’t get that so we had to go in again, we got asked to go to bay that’s fine but we had to go in because the manager didn’t know what we we waiting on and was very rude and the staff were too, do better.

Rushed in here on my way to an appointment that I arrived late to thanks to this place. Waited 10 min+ at the drive through which was empty - mic was left unattended and only after repeativly saying hello did i get an answer. Paying, the cashier mummbled, was rude and offered no greetings arriving or departing. We were asked to go to bay where we waited again for cold food. The food we received was half empty. Drink tasted like gas. Cheese was barely on the burger and the lettuce was scraps. Chips cold anf boarder line burnt. Meals were cold except for 1 that was hot which was obviously the one holding it all up. Frappe tasted like water milk and had the wrong drizzel. Overall very unhappy. Staff were rude , customer service was bad,a staff member told another staff member quite loudly that the food was for an old man not the teenage boy she was going to give it to. Everyone in the ordering line heard this as well as the gentleman who was spoken about. Asked for caramel latte and had to take it back as coffee tasted burnt and had no caramel flavour to it, staff were more interested in avoiding serving anyone than taking orders . Cold fries. 10 minute wait in drive thru after the person taking our order just stopped responding to us and we sat in silence. The wait would've been fine had anyone simplely responded and said "we just need a moment." We get that that McDonald's is understaffed, but it's no reason to be rude or ignore customers when you are paid to take orders. It's hard, I get that. I feel bad for the workers who are obviously untrained and dealing with this stress. They're just kids. I wouldn't go to this store if you have a choice. Until management can step up and the workers can be transparent instead of dismissive, I won't be spending my money here. Me and my cousin came through drive-thru for two coffee frappes but due to change of syrup we waited for around 7/8 minutes. When we got our frappes one was alright but another one was only ice. We tried calling on store’s phone but no answer. I thought of speaking with the manager on next visit but now when we at store mentioning our experience, manager simply declined saying it was last week issues and couldn’t help us anymore. My partner and I came to order a mighty Angus burger, 2 boxes of chicken nuggets and an apple pie after my night shift. We didn’t check our order until we got home because we believed there will be no problem. It turned out the burger was missing from our order. We had to come all the way from home at 1am to get the burger and a staff there just like slapped us on our face that we tell a lie about missing item. Then he smashed our burger on the bench before passing to us with an ugly face. I never had to put a review for any restaurant before, but that was really unacceptable. Worst customer service ever!

Once another proper Maccas opens in the Glenorchy area, this one is screwed. Drive thru is a joke, you'll be trapped there until new years, in store isn't much better. 90% chance your order will be wrong. Oh and the great big signs out front say it's open 24 hours but if you're in the restaurant after 12am they kick you out. So it's not actually open 24 hours. This McDonald's doesn't give a rat's about its customers, they just know the money will keep coming anyway. It's sad.

Not really sure what’s happened with tall the complaints. This place is a pretty standard McDonalds. Staff in the cafe are friendly. Coffee is quite good. Staff behind the main counter couldn’t be stuffed and are distant and aloof. The food is predictable for a Maccas. The touch screen machines don’t always work and are always out of paper so make a note of your order number before it disappears off the screen. Quality of service depends heavily on the time of day and who they have on as the team leader at that time.

I have been a valued customer at MCDONALDS INDUSTRIES since 1972, The food I was served last night, the 19th February, 2023 was disgraceful, to say the least. I had just finished my walk through the sprawling urban centre of Moonah,and walked into this establishment for a nice but of tucker. I walked to the counter and was served by bingleton smith, a rude young man who said "we don't have those" when i asked for a zinger box, so i requested the "HAPPY MEAL" I collected the food, sat down and opened my happy meal, I was greeted with this. DISGRACEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a meal through UberEats at I never knew it takes over an hour to prepare but still continue to say it's not even prepared yet and continues to be delayed. Unfortunately this isn't the first time Macdonalds Moonah have refused delivery drivers to collect meals when it gets busy but this is a joke if the orders are ready then let them take it and be on their way out of the way for other customers but instead they arrive cold after a minimum hours wait. No other word but extremely poor service!!

Rude cashiers make people feel bad. I ordered from the automatic ordering machine and the number was 93. I asked the cashier to remove the pickles from it. She insisted that there was no such order, but I had already paid for it and 193 was on their screen. The front desk clerk was impatient and shook her head and rolled her eyes. Did she not understand me when I said "Order 93"? The machine did not add receipts, and the numbers were not uniform. The unprofessional environment, the arrogant attitude. It's disappointing.

Sometimes drive-through is a painful experience here. It took 1 hour for me to collect my order. As there are cars before and after me I couldn't be able to exit as well. They didn't even bother to say sorry or explain the reason behind the delay. Not going to MCD again especially this particular branch.

Made an order on the kiosk (which didn't print a receipt), meanwhile a team member placed an order on the counter and didn't read it out or even try to hand the order out. Waited a while and figured they were busy, finally went to the counter and got a bag of lukewarm food. Staff need more training and managers need to care more about the customer experience. Called up and they said they would 'review the footage', no offer of a replacement, manager seemed arrogant and dismissive.

I bet McDonald’s is great but when I went I clearly ordered Hot chocolate and I got coffee. When I got my coffee replaced by hot chocolate they said that I ordered coffee during drive through and I remember clearly I didn’t. Plus they would’ve asked for what type of coffee and stuff and I didn’t say anything like that. So, their service was terrible on that day.

Painfully SLOW. Seem to be totally disorganised, understaffed and not all that competant. Concentrate too much on Ubereats orders while frustrated customers are either left there standing for 30-40 minutes waiting or having to have their orders fixed because of mistakes. "Food" if you can call it that, is very much below par. In store cleanliness is, at times, something that needs to be watched.

Went to this McDonald's in Moonah in the rain hence it wasn't busy at all. The staff were all incredibly friendly which is always a bonus. There was a wait and did forget one item on our order but as soon as they realized their mistake it was fixed within 30 seconds which was great. All in all I would give a 3.5 stars

Really poor service through the drive through. for the girl to argue the point about a coffee that tastes like milk after the third coffee being made. I usually come everymorning before work and even after dropping kids to school. If I'm paying $10.20 for two coffees I expect them to be made properly. But I'll be going to somewhere else from now on due to this happening so many times.

My burger was worst then this not only was the presentation bad but it was completely cold like it just come out of a fridge. Went up the the counter the guy was amazing but kitchen staff were rude and didnt want to make it again. My wife works late and I was doing some home renovations and was hungry, so my wife suggested MacDonalds. We both love fillet of fish so ordered 2 x dbl patties. My wifes was great. Mine had one fillet just passable and one I think they used as a doorstop (see pic) it was Grey, dry and resembled and old dishcloth. Very disappointed

It's Maccas, it's ok without being great, it's better than some, but it's maccas. Coffee has improved since mccafe, but it's not 'good', food is as it always has been, which is good, because you know what you're going to get.

Very rare that you actually get what you ordered from this place. The drive through is the worst service in any McDonalds that I’ve been to. Check your order before you leave the drive through. Terrible service. I’m part to blame for this as I keep going back.

I’ve noticed recently that my McFlurry is only 2/3 full. My daughter and her boyfriend said the same thing about their McFlurry. At the time of writing this they are priced at $4.50.

Absolutely appalling service and attitude, last 4 times I've been there the food is cold and the wait times are ridiculous! My order was cold, i asked for a fresh order, i saw the girl put the SAME food in a new bag, this is unacceptable!!! This maccas used to be great.... I won't ever be returning!!! More

bad service, store manager showed no empathy at all and refused my split order on Christmas Day with no reason. I am so sad. The other day, I ordered one McSpicy Burger and Apple Slides from them via Doordash, they send me a mouldy burger bun. And the Apple Slides were expired the day before I ordered.

Food was fabulous. Hot and fresh! Nothing had been sitting in warmers for long because it all tasted great. Muffins were not burned and were fresh with fresh ingredients. Mcspicy was hot and fresh. Great place to grab food

This place is absolutely appalling!! Service is horrendous waiting 40mins for 2 breakfast meals and even then I had to approach the counter to inquire where my food was. The manager is entirely undertrained and rude.... Dining room was dirty tables haven't been cleared the entire time I was here

I ordered angus beef burger but no bun in a burger box. I called them to ask deliver it once more or refund but they just said it's not their fault. I never seen those Mcdonald service. So disgusting never visit here

This has got to be the slowest/worst drive through in the country. I’ve tried it twice at different times of day (outside peak times) and waited for close to 15 mins to even place an order. Would not recommend this Maccas unless you’ve got all the time in the world to wait.

Every order I’ve had handed to me has been wrong. Everytime. And my chips cold/not cooked.

Very bad customer service experience. At first they gave me wrong orders. I asked for recipet, she didn't give any. She change my order, I can she was very angry not a good way to serve customer. She gave me wrong change at first and at last as well.

Waited 10 minutes for 2 small quarter pounder meal in the drive through, Only for the the meal to be delivered with out burgers then another 5 minutes it was basically thrown at me. Worst Experience at Maccas Ever in the 30 years I gave been going.

I always have issues with missing items in my orders at this place. It becomes very irritating, especially when you have hungry mouths and missing food. There really needs to be some sort of quality control because it's becoming ridiculous. More

Enjoyed a Big Mac n flat white coffee here. Prices are fair n the service is prompt. Nothing to complain about. More popular as a drive through, the dine-in customers are mostly students n older people in the afternoon. Will pop over again.

The original and still the best. A loved institution on Main Road, Moonah since 1989 and it never disappoints.

I rarely write reviews but this is the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. Took our toddler to have dinner and a little play on playground to realise they only open it for 2hours a day 11am-1pm. It was a nice sunny day so no excuse not to

We have ordered the spicy burger along with a few other burgers. The spicy burger bun was so hard that you can't even bite the bun. When we went to the Manager, he gave us a lame excuse that the buns got hard after 5 mins as it is steam

Only went through drive through. Staff seemed nice, food didn't take too long. There were no slushies, no shakes, and I got home and realised they didn't even fill my partners large coke the whole way. Check your order before you leave.

Waited 45 minutes for food and all came stale and horrible quality, 2 burgers had incorrect ingredients

Same as every other.... The formula for both frozen coke and soft serve cones have changed.. the cones are more like icy poles. They melted before we got to the car.

Came in today to try the birthday iced latte and it was made very poorly, came in a small soda cup, the coffee was warm due to only having two ice cubes and the whipped cream was flat, coffee came 3/4 full More

Very clean and tidy. The service was very efficient considering they were very busy when I got there. Been awhile since I've been to a McDonald's so found them bringing my order to my table a pleasant surprise.

My so called coffee from their so called barista, was my Mac rubbish. Was not full. Not Mac happy Ronald Today 2 coffees took 23 minutes seriously !!!

Whilst the salad looked good, this was the lettuce that was in it, not nice, not fresh.. have had salads before without this problem, obviously it's only good if all products are fresh..

Need a 3rd window to collect the stuff they missed at the 2nd window... always check your bag before you leave... this was my large fries

Great taste, easy and faster to grab on working days but long Wait on busy days specially night time on weekends and holidays. Avoid youngsters on counter hard to communicate.
