Tuesday, March 1, 2016, on a readdress of my medication for my ongoing disability and blood pressure issues, I saw Don Hathaway, CNP/NMD. My blood pressure was high even though I had and have been consistent in taking my pills the way It is laid out on the prescription. Don Hathaway asked me to relay a message to Ken, of the Medicine Chest Pharmacy, a note to call him. It concerned a possible reapplication of my blood pressure medicine, and a directive to make sure I was taking them. I assured Ken I was, and in fact was keeping records for Don to evaluate at monthly intervals. Ken basically called me a liar in no uncertain terms. He proceeded to chastise me directly, in a loud and threatening demeanor. I'm pretty sure all the employees and all the clients within the business heard his tyrannical rage of words and threatening disposition. I for one was very surprised, being taken aback by the most unprofessional and hateful message he spoke but, for the sake of everyone there, who he obviously could care less about, was very subtle and politically correct as his tyrade could have been seen as an assault upon my person, and the police could have become involved. There were about 8 people who witnessed this event. It reminded me, at 52 years of age, as a father chastising his 2 year old for not eating his vegetables. I found it extremely disrespectful and somewhat humiliating as I never would have suspected this man of such unprofessional behavior. I kept my cool. Also, as my insurance, is ever changing due to Obamacare and Insurance companies trying to make a buck, that my cost for Doctor visits and some medications have increased my overhead by $300 a month, something I didn't expect on a finite disability income that I live on. When I approached him on the ever changing cost, by the hundreds no less, he blew up even more. I may have been inconsistent with my blood pressure meds for a brief time, when I buried my son last year but, I have been dead on for quite some time. The instant left me with some extra medication for last month, so I didn't have to purchase all the meds but, you can be assured that I had them and took them consistently. I will continue to see Don Hathaway NMD but, I pretty sure I will be at a different, more professional pharmacy, in the future. In my opinion, Don has become too old and inflexible and has outlived his usefulness as a customer service oriented pharmacist or individual. It saddens me to make such a comment about anyone. I will not be belittled by someone who has called me a liar, and did it in such a cynical tyrade, that perhaps an Anger management program would be in his best interest. Sadly, as I said, there are many individuals who can verify this incident. I may, at the opinion of counsel, also file an appropriate response to the organizations that can recognize this type of assault as he represents the Medicine Chest, a service oriented business that deals with ongoing life issues of an individual. This may also save someone from a similar unwarranted incident in the future.

I never write poor reviews but Ive never been treated so Horrible by the owner of a business before!! I am a very nice and respectful person, I have 2 bachelor's degrees in business, I own 2 successful businesses, and I'm a military veteran who was injured during navy seal training and now medically retired from my injuries. I just started going to the medicine chest because me and my family just moved to the area and thought it would be nice to have a small pharmacy close to home to call are own, boy was I so so wrong!!! One day I had one of my prescription come up ready for refill and had called on a Tuesday to see the exact day I could pick it up because I had to leave out of town on that Thursday for work to remoldel a home because I flip houses. Well they answered and told me they were to busy to look me up so they needed to call me back and never did so I had to call back the following day and told them Again what was going on that I had to leave on Thursday but they said sorry the earliest they could fill my prescription was Friday so I said okay I would have to just wait because I would be gone 2 weeks and needed my meds. Well Friday came around and I called Again to see if it was ready because I was already late leaving town and the ladies were very nice but all of a sudden the owner got on the phone and told me he couldn't fill right now he was sorry and that he would just have to call we he could get to it, even after multiple days of explaining my situation and calling in advance so they would know. We'll I couldn't wait for them so I went down there and nicely asked the ladies if I could get my prescription paper back so I could take it to my old pharmacy to fill it so I could leave out of town for work. I was dressed in work close dirty from working on another remodel and the old man owner came from behind the counter yelling at me telling me he said he would call me when he was ready and yelled at me to sit down and just wait till he was ready to fill it treating me with total disrespect in front of other customers! I was in total shock and humiliation, I just wanted to take my script to another pharmacy because they didn't have time to fill it and I had to leave and I was very nice about it. He yelled at me telling me he didn't care about my needs and I could just go somewhere else then finally filled it and told me to never come back! WOW Even the nice ladies apologized to me for it, they were really nice to bad they have to work for him! So i took my business elsewhere and i took 9 family and friends with me. Ive been treated like that and would Never Ever treat my customers like that!!! This old man judges you on your appearance and the medications you take so everyone beware, and if you like being judged and treated like crap go see old Milt over at medicine chest he would gladly do it for you he's had 90 plus years expierience treating people like garbage!!! The owner Keb casus was totally rude. I do not know where these people were toight customer service skills but if a customer is having a dilenma about a medicine that is vital to them and the csr chooses to hang up totally rude i have never experienced anything so awful in my life. Chuck is one of the rudest people I have ever talked to and I would recommend. never taking your perscriptions there. Support local businesse? this is the reason I would hesitate in doing so in the future and will never take my business there again had been going there for 2 years. i have no insurance amd pay out of pocket.. He told me oh we'll beat any pharmacys price best price in town. i filled my prescription. the next month at central pharmacy and next at Duran pharmacy amd they both beat his prices total false claim..

Very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone is great at doing their job. I have been going there for a few years now and I won't go anywhere else. They have helped me in so many different ways. Once, they didn't have all of my medication in Stock. The pharmacist actually helped me out with gas money to return the following day. So, nice and down to earth. I would recommend this pharmacy to anyone who needs medication regularly.

I love the small feel of a neighborhood pharmacy and the medicine chest is the place where I can walk in and out with my medicine without the long wait. The staff is friendly and the counsel is always insightful. Plus Ken is so knowledgeable about meds and illnesses that he also offers suggestions which I like. Hes always helped me out in a pinch of pain and I am ever grateful and thankful.

I have been going to this pharmacy for the past 5 years .. The staff is very friendly and caring. . they make me feel like family and the pharmacist Ken is beyond amazing. Love this place and happy we have it in our neighborhood they always take care of me I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else!

Experienced pharmacists. Helpful staff. Fast turnaround. Have saved me money by showing me alternatives to the brand names when they exist, where other pharmacies either failed to mention them, or even didn't have the knowledge. I'll never go anyplace else.

Great pharmacy! The owner Ken, is awesome!! The staff as a whole are great as well. I can't stand the big box pharmacies.....wouldn't spend a cent at any of em!! Thank goodness for Medicine chest and Ken in particular!
