My first visit was about 6 years ago and I never went elsewhere. I moved to Maryland 2 years ago but I refuse to get my hair done by anyone else because of so many past bad experiences. I rather travel to get my hair done than risk someone making my hair fallout or stunt my hairs growth. I have 3b/3c hair and it gets puffy and curls up incredibly quick. Ive been to so many hair salons in NYC and I never had a wash n set last more than a day until I went to Melany’s Beauty Salon. My wash n sets by Melany last 2 + weeks as long as I care for it. She really tames my hair. I only let Melany cut/ trim my hair , and her Haircuts are Beautiful. She gave my mother a short cut and Mami was obsessed with her hair.. Melany’s hands are truly blessed, she’s Great at what she does, and I will always go to her .

I have been coming here since for over 23 years. Melany is the only hairdresser I trust cutting and blowing out my hair. My hair is 3C curls and she leaves my hair pin straight without having to use the straightening iron. I come all the way from queens just to get a blow out. Thank you so much Melany!

I have been going to this beauty salon for over 7 years. I had a perm when I first started going to Melany and I transitioned to my natural hair. She has helped me tremendously with great products for my permed and natural hair as well as educating me on how to take good care of my hair.

Love the quality and effort. Staff is polite. Place is clean. Waiting time is never long. And you grow to love your hair stylist enough to not want anyone else touching your hair. The prices to top it off is very affordable.

Service was great. Starting from my phone call to the business until I walked out of their door, the service was superb. I will definitely consider going again.

Melany's Beauty Salon is a wonderful place to get your hair done. It's clean, professional and a warm friendly atmosphere.

The owner mostly does hair. She works magic on every head she touches. I recommend this salon to everyone!
