We've ordered several times from Merry's Kitchen on MLK Ave. , ...but tonight I thought I'd give them a review. When my wife placed our order, ...she said they were very pleasant & professional. We both ordered the fried seafood plater w/ a medium side of pork rid tips, ...we asked for our fries well done (as we learned from other carry outs we must do, ...or else they'll come soggy and undercooked.) w/ extra tartar & cocktail sauce. Our order came up to $30.95 and it arrived surprisingly early (in under 30mins, ...20 to be exact.) , ...I was surprised to have received a free 2L orange soda. (But that cames w/ any order $20 or more.) When we opened up the bag, ...we were pleased to find everything that we had ordered. The seafood platter came w/ fried whiting, three fried scallops, two shrimp, & two crab sticks w/ an order of fries, ...now even though the fries were cooked as we asked, ...they were not quite as crispy as I would have liked them to be and could have used a little more salt. Everything was fried nice & crispy, ...and the scallops seemed to just melt in your mouth they were so fresh & tender. The shrimp was nice & tender as well, ...w/ a nice tantalizing bite after you dipped it in that sweet & tangy cocktail sauce. Overall our experience w/ Marry's Kitchen is acceptable and she never disappoints, ...so I gave her a 4 star. I would have given a 5 star only if your fries were more crispy & your soda was sent cold, ...other that we appreciate your outstanding customer service. Thank you, ...keep up the good work.

This is my new favorite carryout. Im so glad I found somewhere else besides Kitchen 1. or whatever its called. I love their menu, they have a ot of stuff most carryouts dont have. And I know because I have a lot different menus laying around so Im constantly comparing them all. Merry's have a few more options. I think these guys make the best steak and cheese in my area. The meat is so nice and well seasoned and they give you enough of it. The delivery takes no more than 45 mins which I feel is reasonable. The food is always delivered hot except on one occasion, my steak and cheese was a little cold but thats forgivable being as tho theyre consistent with delivery and food quality. The steak and cheese egg rolls, potato wedges, hot wings (even tho theyre not so hot- but still delicious), are really good. A friend of mines love the onion rings. My sister loves the lo mein- I've yet to try it but I'd like to in the future because I love a good lo mein. I cant wait to try their sesame chicken and stuff too. RIght now I've just been eating a lot of steak and cheeses.

My overall experience with this restaurant has been very pleasant. I've been ordering here since my moved to the community about 2 years ago. Pros: Always fresh ingredients; excellent fried chicken wings; delivery service is super fast and reasonable prices for sure. Cons: The American food items on the menu is below average and not so tasty; if you do take out, there are young men selling drugs inside the lobby area. Many people loiter in front of the building as well. The customer service experience is not always so great! Have I have better tasting Chinese food, of course! However; for the convenience and, reasonable prices and small delivery fee it is definitely worth what you pay for!

If your using your debt card be careful because they charging you more than your order amount They know it's a headache to go through the process to get they over payment back and they think most people won't even check or notice it my good came to $23 and they charged me $29.40 when I called them about it they were very rude said call your bank and hung up SMH I will never order from them again also they food not even that good

Ok. So I'm extremely picky and stick to foods I'm use to. I like carryout food but im also aware of the cons to carryout especially in urban areas. I order an shrimp and broccoli today was the second day. I can seriously say it was really good. Don't let it's appearance stop you from tasting their shrimp and broccoli. I gave it five stars simply because of that meal. I haven't tasted anything else but after the third shrimp and broccoli I might try something else. I'll keep y all updated.

I just order for takeout delivery at 8:26pm and I am eating at 8:52pm. My fish meal taste excellent and hot not cold. So can not agree with someone, for whom stated that; their meals doesn't taste good. Then I told him, they do honor their special with or without the coupon on the bottom of their menu. Then I just said ,enough with this back and forth talking I'm going sit-down and in enjoy my fish meal and No!!! you can't have none of my food,, I left the conversation just like that.

They charge you 50 cent to use a card which is illegal they can only charge u if it’s a credit card then there steak and cheese is pre cooked and doesn’t taste like anything and there fries drowned if u ask for anything on it

I ordered at 5:05pm it's now 6pm all I ordered was a shrimp basket & 10p chicken nuggets w/ fries and I live down the street lady was nice and professional on the phone but I don't understand why the wait was so long they didn't put sault and pepper on my fries like I asked and the food wasn't hot it was luke warm fries taste old I probably wont order here ever again first impression is horrible

Disgusting, I'll never order from them again. I regret every dollar i spent. The driver is disgusting just as well as the food. I ordered a fish sandwich from there, it was wet and soggy. The chicken was salty and the fries was hard. Back to the fish sandwich, i couldn't believe they would sell me something like that, very very unpleasing.

If you want cold food order here. I just ordered chicken wings French fries steak and cheese and shrimp and broccoli 2 hours ago my food was delivered cold 1and a half hour ago cold by a driver whose car smelled like old cigarettes. This is the worst place to order delivery.

It's one of the only places that deliver to my location so I use them. The mumbo is subpar, the Chinese food is ok but I can think of a dozen places I'd rather have besides this. The subs are good usually. As I said it's ok. It's my only option for delivery...so

First impression mean everything. They outside and the inside is not clean, but oxymoron is the kitchen is clean and the food is good. they really need to care about the appearance of their establishment because it's in SE they still should care

The food arrives cold and all they can say is the only have one delivery driver as if the customer doesn't matter I will NEVER order from them again as expensive as they are they should have better service than an hour's wait for cold food

They should change the name of their fried rice to onions because that's what they give you. Have ordered a few chicken dishes and anytime it's breaded, I swear there's no actual chicken, just breading.

Simply put, the food was delicious. The service was both friendly and timely. The establishment has a lovely retro feel with warm welcoming hostess. We will be returning.

This is not a good place to experience a decent meal because its cold when the driver came both times. Ingredients werent fresh. And my crabsticks where mushy. It was bad
