I live down the street from this place. I've wanted to come for some time but it's always been closed whenever I walked by. I was walking down the street to get some milk when I noticed the store was open. As I walked closer I saw a grand opening sign. So I decided to stop by. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a mango smoothie. Both were good. I didn't notice how much the meal cost at the time. But I later realized that it was around $20 for both after tax and tip. So I felt that this was a fair price. The staff took some time before taking my order. And it took some time after that to come out. Combined it took about 40 minutes to get my order. I heard one of the staff members complain that they were short staffed. So I was a bit empathetic. The music was relatively loud when I was at the restaurant. One of the workers was soft spoken. And given the loudness of the music I had trouble hearing him. He tried speaking to me about something at some point but I couldn't hear what he said. I live down the street from this place. So I can see myself coming back. But I would probably want to order over the phone or online next time so that I don't have to wait as long next time.

Really quaint little cafe in the area. I briefly felt like a local walking here for breakfast...from my AirBnb before i went to Universal Studios in an Uber. We ordered the Turkey Sandwich per the worker's suggestion, some coffee, and a last-minute Parfait. Boy did we make the right choices! -The Turkey Sandwich was toasted to perfection, nice and crunchy with lots of smooth creamy avocado, alfalfa sprouts for a crisp, and meaty turkey in perfect proportions. Would highly suggest this. Also came with an Arugula salad that I didn't really eat (salad for breakfast, pass) -The parfait was definitely a highlight, my girlfriend was so amazed that there were persimmons in it, one of her favorites. The combination of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and honey was heavenly. She liked it so much we came back the next morning for another. One thing however is that the menu board said there was Chia Seeds but I didn't really notice it. -Also tried Chicken Empanadas, I liked them cause they were huge and the chicken and potatoes were filling but definitely the weakest out of the three things I had. Overall; while I rarely go to cafes for food, I think this place has opened up my mind on the idea.

I had the Chipotle Chicken Bowl - it was delicious and filling! Nice little cafe, parking isn’t amazing but not terrible (I parked in the lot across the street). Menu is a little smaller than what you see online, so be aware of that as well. Also got a smoothie which was bomb.

Great place for breakfast coffee and sandwiches. Cappuccino was awesome! Breakfast sandwich has avocado, egg omlet, chicken, bacon and lettuce or spinach. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. Staff was also very friendly. Great atmosphere. Parking is a bit tricky, you can maybe park near the Korean town nearby shops area or atreet parking at appropriate places.

A great selection of smoothies and other breakfast starters. For lunch I have had the chicken mango sandwich and the turkey and both were great on fresh tender bread. A new dinner menu has tritip that is the best by far that I have ever had. For dessert try the mango fountain. The cafe is in Koreatown so parking can be difficult but that’s what Uber and Lyft are for.

Whoa This Torte de mesón sandwich is amazing. I honestly wasn’t sure of what to expect but I’m pleasantly surprised by all of the flavor in this torte. 10/10 I recommend. I also ordered the Peach and Mango smoothie, very delicious as well

My siqater and I tried this little cafe last week. She got a salad with salmon and I ordered a signature chicken dish. Mine was good, it was really tasty and filling. Mesón Cafe is a great family owned resraurant, whose owner Nelson is a national of Argentina and he's very handsome. The staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect metso for breakfast, I really enjoyed it. Very beautiful, tasty and unusual toasts, good coffee, everything that I need in the morning. Everything from the place to the service staff, so that the food was wonderful. I hope to come back again and try other offers in the menu.

Poor location but thank goodness it was here because the breakfast was so good! I recommend the breakfast bowl if it at all sounds appealing trust me she does a great job of it. FYI the coffee sizes are pretty small like 10oz or something but anyhow the stuffs good you should go. Now.

This place is small but mighty! Their coffee isn't absurdly priced. Nor is their food and both are great! I got the breakfast bowl which was really tasty. Their WiFi is fast so it's a great place to work or go with friends. A reasonably priced, cute coffee shop! I'll be back!

New young very friendly ownership. Tried the vegetarian sandwich. Always fresh. The coffee is nice too. Although there are other trendier places around, I find myself returning back here as the service and friendliness of the owners are hard to beat.

  • Keanan Block

Not sure if it’s because I was here on a weekday morning, but I really wasn’t impressed by this place. Interior was kind of shabby, coffee was average, and the service wasn’t great.

The Turkey sandwich was the worst I’ve ever had. 1 slice of Oscar Meyer quality processed Turkey on a sandwich. Dry and unbalanced. Served with tortilla slices mixed with stale Fritos. Just lol at this place.
