"Love the variety of food and there is a decent bar inside as well, some of the food places were closed at the time we went which was a shame but nice to have a decent bit of variety, had katsu chicken donburi from the Korean place and there were some ridiculously tasty noodles right next door, a pizza place that looked delicious, and had some small bits from a Greek place on the corner and everything was delicious and the people were all friendly quite a social place to eat which was a nice change as we do not have anything like it where we are from"
"Beautiful on the inside"
"This was such a brilliant find"
"Edit note: not sure this actually was the Metquarter"
"Too expensive for the food they serve"
Love the variety of food and there is a decent bar inside as well, some of the food places were closed at the time we went which was a shame but nice to have a decent bit of variety, had katsu chicken donburi from the Korean place and there were some ridiculously tasty noodles right next door, a pizza place that looked delicious, and had some small bits from a Greek place on the corner and everything was delicious and the people were all friendly quite a social place to eat which was a nice change as we do not have anything like it where we are from.
Beautiful on the inside. Forget what you see on the outside, just take your time, go inside. It's a work of art for a building housing art projects from drama, dancing and singing. The building is well planned, it houses Everyman Cinema, a good restaurants, boutiques, coffee shop and a lot more. The surrounding is very neat, and it's worth a day out with the family. Update: Hugo Boss has left the building, Cricket has joined, and there's a good coffee place there now, it's called 90degrees.
This was such a brilliant find. The selection of beers are excellent and the food halls are excellent too. We chose Indian, Greek, US and Korean and all the food was excellent. Be aware that after the shops close, the entrance is via Victoria St, next to the Everyman theatre, as we thought it was closed, but it's upon until around 9 PM. Nathan our server was super friendly and chatty and made us all feel so welcome. We will definitely be back.
Edit note: not sure this actually was the Metquarter. Where we went was the food hall in the old GPO in Victoria Street, but read on... Popped in to the food hall as recommended by Jay Rayner, restaurant critic of the Observer/Guardian. Had a brief lunch at Indian street food takeaway Chit and Chaat which was absolutely fantastic and great value. Highly recommended!
Too expensive for the food they serve. They brought a very small plate of food with 3 shrimps without offering bread. I could not expect more from a food court. As I live and work nearby, unfortunately, I won't go there for lunch. But it's a good place to go to eat something very light while chatting with a friend or acquaintance.
Had a brilliant night up to the point that my drink was spiked. Be careful people, I know this could happen anywhere so I don't hate the place and the club was amazing at dealing with it from paying for me to get home to helping file the report the next day with help from CCTV and statements from people who were there.
Have not been to the metquater, for years, it's lovely clean and well looked after, flower sellers stall just inside the entrance, if you are looking for a bouquet of flowers, there is amazing selection, Costa coffee, lots of sitting,as well, range of really lovely shops, a children's clothing shop,at the far end,
Lovely place. A lot of higher end shops compared to st johns but also has shops like costa coffee and that is normally quiet compared to the ones in the middle of town. Some extra maintenance on the building would be great, some area are darker because of good number of lights out.
My stars are not for the actual Metquarter, but the food court upstairs. Lots of different choices plus a bar. We chose Indian food which the stars are for. The food was exceptional and the onion bhajis and samosas were the best I've tasted. Will definitely be going back …
Saturday night, not familiar with the city, stumble across this place which has a decent variety of ok food at an alright price. Nothing exceptional but all looks good, and good to have choice. Better than the chain stuff I was finding elsewhere.
This place isn't to my taste as it has quite an exclusive feel to it. It is however very smart and clean with a selection of high end boutiques to choose from as well as fine dining. Having CCTV cameras is in my opinion however a step too far.
An amazing selection of shops The best place to visit when you're looking for something unusual or unique. Especially good when buying gifts for those people in your life that have everything or are difficult to buy presents for …
Love the art shop. Can always find seat in Costa. Lovely clean centre is the Metquarter. Sorry toilets have gone on top floor. Flower shop is lovely and different arrangements. Well worth a visit and go to GPO food varied. Back soon. X
Had tea and a toasted sandwich at Costa coffee very nice. Social distancing and hand sanitizer in place on entry. Only thing I would have given 5 stars if the table had been quicker taking away used cups and plates.
The mall is clean, well presented but mostly empty. No atmosphere at all. Staff in shops think way too much of themselves, poor customer service. Nice Italian restaurant & French patisserie downstairs.
Visited the Metquarter Shopping Centre today with my Mum and Sister and went to the Costa coffee shop for a bite to eat, I had a small latte with a caramelised onion and cheese focaccia bread.
Nice airy building but can lack atmosphere and is usually devoid of shoppers. Hopefully the LMA moving in will bring some life to the place. The excellent Everyman cinema is located here too .
The metquarter in Liverpool is ideally situated and has a nice architectural feel. Personally, I'd recommend it if you're searching for presents, gifts, or something to treat yourself with.
lovely place, they have several small stalls of food. enjoyed my shoyu ramen just wished it served quick and put a little bit of veg.(please) the pork chashu isnt pleasing, the
Alot has changed over the years and I had to pick something up from kids cavern but glad I did because looks very nice inside and new shops that I will be checking out
It's a shopping center like all the shopping centres in the land if you want to consume pass the time watch the world go by this is good a place as any...
Some very different shops including top end designers with the added attraction of the GPO food hall where you are spoilt for choice when ready to eat.
A well kept secret! Every time u pop in here it never seems that busy whi h is sometimes a good thing. Happy to revisit for a nice coffee ☕️ in Costa.
Great atmosphere lots trendy student from performing arts school LMA vibe was ecstatic great food n drink service was quick and trouble free …
A great place to do that designer clothing, a good bar on site and you can also eat there, well situated to the side of the City centre.
Haven't been in since they added the food hall and cinema. Wonderful addition to the metquater. Will be paying a visit again soon.
Best £5 I've spent in a long time for entrance (daytime). Good selection of beers and some quality entertainment. Well Done.
Went into the food court and it was fantastic! So much choice and it was cooked in front of us. Excellent, highly recommend!
Worth a visit to see plenty of different shops and eateries, very vibrant with some quirky shops, busy but worth a look.
There is a coffe shop. Called 200° on tbe corner, great place, lovly staff, great welcome, WiFi too, well worth visit,
Student event was busy and very good turn out. I'm not a student but the company I work for asked me to have a look.
We only go to the Costa in the Metquarter and like this costa as you can always get a seat and staff are friendly
