An officer (not going to name him) came to my accident scene. I told him my side, my roommate gave his, and when i got to read the report, he put down the other partys statement and not my passengers. My statement was not complete. I had told him i didnt move at all. She hit me. That part of the statement wans'nt put in the report. So now the insurance company has the assumption i said i hit her. When i did not move at all. My ADVICE TO YOU OR ANYONE READING THIS, IS, HAVE THE OFFICER READ YOUR STATEMENT BACK TO YOU AND ASK TO KNOW WHAT HE PUT IN FROM YOUR PASSENGER. CAUSE IT COULD MAKE A DIFFRENCE. I DONT LIE AND THE OTHER PARTY DID. EVEN THOUGH I KNEW I WAS GOING TO END UP BEING AT FAULT, I DID NOT RUN IN TO THE OTHER PARTY THEY HIT ME. JUST SAYING CYA. (COVER YOUR OWN BUTT) NO ONE ELSE WILL. Not meant for the honest people that tell it like it really is. If you are asked for your statement, it should be right. Especially when it involves the poliece and reporting ANYTHING. Thats very important to me and im sure others.

I can’t say enough about the Metro Officers that serve our streets. My 2 sons where on their way to the library today and somehow got the attention of Officer Jenkins as my boys crossed the bridge. And this amazing man took my boys and bought them both a brand new bike and helmets and bike locks. My wife and we’re in tears and this transpired. I broke my neck and my back in January and all our income was stopped and we could never have gotten bikes for our kids. Even as I write this short thank you my eyes are full tears of joy and appreciation. Thank you Metro for spreading love to our great Nashville community!
