We purchased two of my wedding bands from Michael Hill with the lifetime package for rhodium plating. The rings were purchased in 2019 right before Covid shutdowns - so we were never able to utilize this service we paid for. Well, fast forward to September 2023, my rings are yellow and I wanted to get them sparkling again, I went into the store and the manager was EXTREMELY rude, arrogant, aggressive. He made me so uncomfortable, scared me, and was yelling information at me that was not relevant to the reason why I went into the store in the first place. He refused to send my rings in for the rhodium plating service we paid for and even, after I requested to only speak with his colleague he responded and said “she is just a lower level associate, she won’t be able to answer any of your questions” - I didn’t have any. Just over the top, disrespectful to customers and his staff… this store has DEFINITELY lost us as customers. Note: the regional manager did reach out and apologize but unfortunately apologies are not enough when you spend over $10,000 on a product with *lifetime* options and the services are not honoured. Take your business elsewhere!

Bought an $1300 ring for my wife at Micheal Hill. My wife damaged it. I returned to the store to find out if we could repair it. The repairs would be close to the sale price of a new ring. The new ring was sold to me with a warranty. My wife damaged the new ring, and could not find the warranty paperwork and was given a quote for $200.00 to repair it. I returned to the store later with the paperwork and was told the warranty did not apply to this ring!!! I brought the original ring and asked this manager to see what he could do for me using gems out of the original damaged ring. The manager later phoned me and told me the repair would be $400.00 but that he would be willing to meet me half way and only charge me $200.00. Today I paid the $200.00 plus tax and left my name and number for a manager to call me. I thought that they should have honoured that warranty or at least offer me a gift card, but as it is now Michael Hill has lost me as a customer. The store manager has yet to contact me.

I just went and ask today a sales lady ( middle aged or maybe older) she's working side-by-side w/ younger lady. I asked if I could have my ring clean even though I purchased it from another location. She just gave me a "cold" nod. Didn't show much interest in me so I just left without saying thank you, I believed she doesnt deserved my acknowledgement neither since she was plainly rude the way she handled my inquiries. She works at a customer service business and if she's going to treat people the way she treats me then she doesn't belong there. Bragging aside, my husband purchased a $3,000 dollars set of ring for me and I needed it clean to make it more shiny again. I have a lifetime warranty for it. If this is the way shes going to treat me again then I will talk to the manager straight and hopefully I will be treated more humanly.

This is a very nice place. The staff are respectable and very kind and knowledgeable. I order my fiance's wedding band on October 6 and they gave me dates it would be in and I'd call and it wasn't in. They said the ring wasn't up to their liking so they made the company remake it. After a lot of waiting and calling I got the call it was in. Each time I spoke to someone they were so apologetic and kind. When I went to pick it up I got a discount because of the hastle and I got service immediately. Everyone was so kind. We walked out feeling very satisfied and then I get a call from the manager just wanting to apologize again for the wait. We were very happy with the service and the look of the ring. I would highly recommend this store and I will be back !

We spent over 7 thousand dollars, buying every warranty and coverage available for mine and my fiancee's engagement and wedding rings. Her engagment ring was sent away to be sized when they gave it back to us it looked like a grade 9 soldered it. There were pits in the joint and one diamond was even partly covered. They gave this to me while standing behind the hack of a sizing job. Then they justified it by saying that a ring loses integrity after being sized. I was given a new ring needless to say.

Bought a ring for my girlfriend, with the care plan. Needed to resize it once, no problem. Once again needed a resize, couldn’t help me in any way, shape or form. Actually suggested I buy something else to help my situation, instead of coming up with a solution. Manager came out and was extremely rude, telling me that there’s nothing they can do. I don’t review places often but I spent good money on a ring that doesn’t fit my girlfriend.

The sales people here are worse than used car salesmen. I had to tell them 3 times I didn't want to spend twice the amount I was budgeting for and they still kept trying to wrangle me in. I literally had to walk away mid sentence of their terrible, cheesy sales pitch. I should have known when they kept referring to wedding bands as "wedders' that things were going to go downhill from there.

Spent a fair chunk of change at this place and felt that I made some good purchases I was there today to get cleaning on items purchased there , which was part of theor deal at time of purchase Since I was only looking Looking for cleaning and not spending a bundle , I just got a totally negative response . I suppose they simply have too many customers . I will NEVER go there again

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service manners from the manager, beyond disrespectful and rude. Quality of their stuff is extremely poor. My engagement ring has pieces of diamonds falling out constantly and they blame it on resizing issues. Gold bracelet ALWAYS gets torn at the clasp after a few days of wearing. Cheap, 100% FAKE jewelry go literally anywhere else.

I bought a bracelet for a friend, after that the emails started coming one after the other with no unsubscribe feature. I contacted the store, asked them to delete my email address but that didn't help, the emails keep coming. I blocked the emails but more were delivered...on and on. Don't give them an email address, they do not respect you..period.

I originally went in to see if they could clean my ring, which they did for free, and I found a Sapphire necklace that was on sale that I wanted to purchase. The people there were so nice and matched the price of the matching earrings so I got a beautiful set for the price of one. It did feel a bit pushy but it was still great service!

Although we did not buy from the store today (as we need an engagement ring quite urgently with my size, not available in store), we did have very nice time being helped there. I dont know the name of the staff, but he is definitely polite, not pushy, and carefully advice the rings to fit our need. Highly recommened! Excellent service.

Super great experience! Ashley was so fun and really kind. Very knowledgeable and just overall extremely helpful. Only have good things to say! We weren’t planning on purchasing today but honestly the customer service was so superior that it made the decision to take the plunge that much easier.
