This company provided a severe lack of professional and follow-up for my insurance claim. I was referred to them by my insurance carrier in March 2023 following storm damage. They scheduled the initial appointment promptly; however, it went downhill from there. The estimate to my insurance carrier took at least two weeks and was after follow-up from me and my agent at the insurance company. Documentation was sent for me to sign before the estimate was submitted to the insurance which I did not sign. Once the estimate was complete, it was under my deductible. I was okay with that and agreed to pay out-of-pocket for the repairs. I contacted them after a month and my point of contact was not responsive in a timely manner. I followed up and asked to work with someone else after I explained my dissatisfaction with my point of contact. I was assured he would get back with me and he did. He provided updated documentation for DOUBLE the original estimate to the insurance company. I followed-up with my point of contact & did not receive a response. I called the company to let them know and to inform them I was going to use another company. I was told a manager would call me back & they have not. I support local business and I feel it's vital for the community to do so. In this case, I was treated very poorly and would not recommend them AT ALL. I'm unsure of the cause of such maltreatment and do not appreciate it. Extremely disappointed. BEWARE 7/21/23 Update: I find it COMICAL that the owner will respond on social media but NEVER contacted me during my attempts to resolve the matter. I have my emails, texts, and call logs to reflect what transpired. There is nothing to gain by telling falsehoods. Use this feedback as a lesson learned. If you'd like for me to send my information, that can be used as training material.

I first contacted MidSouth for roof repairs after the great windstorm in March tore off a large chunk of shingles on the front corner of my house. From the beginning, they were fast, professional, and incredibly accommodating. Other companies had weeks-long waitlists (as expected), but MidSouth was able to get someone out to me in a couple of days. There was a small scheduling error with my initial appointment, but everyone I spoke to was incredibly accommodating, apologetic, and understanding in regards to this situation, and MidSouth was able to send another roofer out to my house within 24 hours. Human error happens - it is not a huge deal for me (I get it, I really do), but it was VERY appreciated that they did everything they could to make things right immediately. This is honestly some of the best customer service I have ever received. A couple of weeks later, over half of my roof slid off during a thunderstorm. I had already been in contact with Alex, my roofer, to fix the wind damage, and he was able to get someone out to tarp my roof very fast. He was also incredibly helpful in dealing with insurance claims and helped me find a reasonable and reliable painter for my interior damage. Final installation of my brand new roof (upgraded from 3 tab to architectural) was incredibly efficient. The whole crew from MidSouth was incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful, and their prices were more than fair. Now I have the best-looking and most reliable roof in the whole neighborhood!

I posted a request for recommendations for roofers on a community board, and Cody Pennington was highly recommended. I got in touch with Cody, and he came to the house the next day! I thought we would be replacing a few shingles…what do I know? I’ve never been on the roof, and it’s 20 years old. Turned out I needed a whole new roof. Bummer…HOWEVER, Cody walked us step by step with the insurance process as the damage we had was from wind. We received our initial check, but Cody thought they could do better and didn’t fully grasp the extent of the damage. Turns out, he was right, and the insurance company paid us enough to replace the roof without a penny out of our pocket. To say Cody and MidSouth Construction were blessings is putting it mildly. Cody and his crew came at the scheduled time, and worked diligently throughout the day and kept us informed through the whole process of tearing off the old roof and replacing the new one. There are a couple photos attached. Don’t you just love this color!! The crew not only worked their butts off, they were super respectful and had so much fun working together. You could hear laughing and cutting up and carrying on the whole day. It was so refreshing to see a whole crew enjoying themselves while working so hard. It was hard not to join them. I highly recommend Cody Pennington and his crew from MidSouth Construction. You would be wise to choose them as your roofers!

I had a nightmare scenario where I backed a moving truck into my house two weeks before we were set to close on our house. With emotions and anxiety running high, I called my insurance company first thing Monday morning and was told MidSouth was in the network of preferred vendors. There were also others in the list but I went with MidSouth due to their raving reviews. After hanging up with insurance, I called MidSouth and was greeted with empathy and understanding. They quickly got me a project mgr assigned and were able to get someone out to my house that same day to give me an estimate. TJ was my PM and he brought along Hector (lead mason). Both were very professional and quickly calmed my anxiety with assuring me everything can be fixed and no major issues. In the weeks leading up, I kept regular contact with TJ to get updates on the estimate and approvals. TJ knew my situation and was very responsive throughout the entire project. All the laborers were hard working through the heat and the rain. We were very pleased with the results.

I don't have enough good things to say about MidSouth. They replaced my roof on an insurance claim, and were EXTREMELY patient while the ins. co. dragged their feet for months. My project manager, Alex A, was one of the best service people I have EVER worked with. He is honest, thorough, responsive, supportive, an advocate, and just an all-around friendly and nice guy. The crew that come out did an incredible job, and it was a thing of beauty to watch. The crew was so big that they had my old roof off, new one on, and were gone within 5 hours! I have an amazing, beautiful new roof, and they did not harm one single bush or tree in the process! I have already recommended MidSouth, and specifically Alex, to some friends. A++++♾ And no, I am not related to them, nor do I benefit in any way from this review...they were just THAT GOOD.

I had such high hopes after reading the reviews online. The Good: they got someone out quickly to give me an estimate on a new roof, and the sales rep, Spencer, was extremely friendly. The Bad: it took almost 2 weeks to get a quote back. The sales rep was forthright and admitted he did not do flat roofs so he was having to get help from his co workers, who apparent were not to willing to assist him. Spencer's co worker, Jake, sent me a quote for $32,000 and come to find out, they won't even warranty they product they are selecting to put on my roof. When I asked for an explanation, Jake stopped responding. I am just baffled that a roofing company expects that a customer spend $32,000 with them and they won't even warranty the product for one day! And what kind of customer service is it when you ghost the customer?

Chris and the team at Mid South were recommended by our home owners insurance to investigate a leak in out bedroom window. They sent their team to evaluate and identify that we has quite a bit of water damage caused by hail and storm damage to our roof. Who knew that shingles got damaged from hail? There was damage in five rooms in our home and they presented to our insurance and began the work. They put on a complete new roof, fixed drywall issues, and pained all five rooms in less than a week in total. The work was done well and the representative (Chris) was amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area. If I do any additional renovation's they will be the only company we choose.

The workers arrived before daylight and worked extremely hard until dark. They did a great job! Before the project started, they let me know that I might find a few stray nails. They swiped the yard with big magnets and got most of them like they said. So I’m ok with that. They even cleaned out all the gutters!!
