I am not sure how Desjardins has not been sued for their gross incompetence and lack of communication. A few months ago they cancelled my car insurance without notifying me. They had sent a piece of letter mail that was returned to them because they used the wrong postage “notifying me” that they needed a copy of my licence that hadn’t changed. When they didn’t get my licence (because the letter never made it to me) they sent another piece of letter mail letting me know they cancelled my police that once again, was returned to their office. They had my email, phone number, home address, emergency contacts, and more means of contacting me but they didn’t. Their mistakes resulted in me unknowingly driving without insurance for months and I only noticed when I realized they stopped taking money out of my account. I now am stuck paying almost double my original premium because I have a gap in my insurance due to this company being unable to put a stamp on an envelope. Save yourself the time and money and go with someone else!!! I am with Aviva now and although my premium is high, they provide full coverage and they email you if a letter mail communication is returned to them.

Unfortunately I had to change my original 5-star review to a 1-star. The initial contact was great, responsive, but that's it. After that, the person responsible for my insurance changed every couple months, so every time I tried to contact them I would get a returned email error message. It's very disappointing to have to call them to find out the name and email of the new person you should be contacting, and even them, emails were never responded. I can only imagine what sort of support I would get in case of a claim. I was fortunate enough to have an agent named Thais from this office to initially help me get information regarding auto insurance. I had a unique situation and even without me committing to Desjardins as an insurance provider yet, Thais gladly gave me the information I needed. She was very pleasant, courteous and communicated well with me through the phone and email. She guided me on getting supporting documentation to help me get a good rate considering how expensive premiums could be here in Toronto. I was won over by her excellent customer service. I did not get to interact with any other agent in this office but I will gladly recommend this agency to others just for the fact that Thais did a phenomenal job! I will definitely reach out to her again in the future for other insurance needs.

I was looking up many insurance companies, and this one is my favourite one. My delivery date came earlier than expected, so I did not prepare for the car insurance. After talking to 3 different brokers and getting basically the same quotes, I decided to give these guys a try. Quick and professional! Answer all your questions and give you good advice even if you may or may not use their services. I didn't use their auto insurance 1 year ago as it a little higher than the other for new driver, but they called me again this year and offer better option with my condition. Follow up case by case, especially if you're Vietnamese and don't know a lot about Canada as well as car and insurance, reach for their team!

I was looking to renew my car insurance on December. Ms. Quyen and his team helped me out with fast respond and professional. They also offered the app for safety driving that can improve my driving habit, and after 100 days driving with the app, I get 25% for the rest of policy time and every time I renew the policy. I have great experience with Mike Chronopoulos Desjardins Insurance Agent.

We have our auto and home insurance with Desjardins. We haven’t had any issues in the past 2 years but 2023 has been difficult first our home insurance went up without communication next our auto insurance went up by 20% without any official communication on mail/email. We would rather move to someone we can trust even if it means paying a penalty. I won’t recommend this provider.

Five years ago I provided a fairly damning review of this agent. Things have changed. While I am still disappointed with Desjardins (they sure aren't State Farm in terms of their offerings and approach) my view of the agent has improved dramatically. They've provided great service on my auto insurance policies and were quick to help me transfer these policies to my new address.

While other companies push us to handle everything with chatbots, talking to a real human agent is amazing. Argilena is incredibly helpful, she is patient and clarifies every detail to make sure we get the services that suit us best. We got everything sorted quickly, hassle-free. And their prices are competitive as well. I highly recommend their services!
