Staff are happy to not inform customers that trains are not coming because of fires in other stations. I sat for 45 mins as the update kept saying 6 more mins. The staff could have made an announcement but were happy to have people wait an hour and a half without letting them know. No wheelchair access, only 3 barriers to get through, very narrow stairs, no lifts and no staff to let you know what’s happening. The staff all 5 of them sitting laughing away letting people through but not making anyone aware that there are major delays with trains. Updating the boards incorrectly and making people very late for their day. 20th June 2023 Once again I’ve just got to the station after checking times and all trains are delayed. Making me late for work AGAIN, as always. By far the worst station I’ve ever been to. Platform packed with people all waiting. I’m guessing all trains from here will be delayed all day.
This station can be accessed via the Bus Station in Station Rd or via the car park gate (turnstiles inside). The bus station is very dingy and not pleasant when it's dark but is convenient to come off the train and catch a bus. The train service is Thameslink which has fast access into Central London and onward to Gatwick Airport and Brighton The other direction goes to Luton which is useful for the airport. There is a Coffee Bar/kiosk on the platform into town. Main downside is that you have to use the stairs. Not convenient if you have suitcases for airport trip. There is also a mini cab office directly next to the station stairs when exiting into the Bus Station.
Basic station that's north of the Mill Hill area, Served by thameslink stoppers about every 15 mins or so to the likes of St. Albans, London, Sutton and Rainham. Staff are fine, ticket machines and barriers are installed and there is shelter on the platforms provided but no step free access to any of the platforms, bar one which is out of use anyway. The car park area and row of bus stops is located right underneath the concrete overpass carrying the M1 and it is one of the most gloomy and depressing sights you can find in North West London.
This station is served by Thameslink trains which go to Luton, Kings Cross St Pancras & Farringdon. The ticket hall is small and there is only 3 ticket barriers to go through. There is no disabled access to the platforms or the station itself only stairs. The stairs up to the platforms are narrow so when you have a load of passengers leaving the platform it can take a while. On platforms 3 and 4 you have high speed trains going straight through. This station needs a upgrade and lifts installed ASAP.
A good mix of old and new architecture and fitting out provides an interesting station. Clear sign posting and announcements. Everywhere was clean even though it was very busy. This station is so easy to use for any rail trip in country or out. Everything is well marked. There is an abundance of merchants for dining, drinking, and general purchases.
Since they added Turnstiles - this place has becoming Queuing heaven - it takes ages to get out of the station. The main entrance has only got two turnstiles in one direction and when people struggle - there is sometimes a guard in the ticket office who also is responsible for selling tickets. Utter shambles..
Very dismal and at times dirty approach to the main line station. No step free access. The electronic barriers get very busy especially when alighting at Mill Hill during busy periods of the day. This station and this train line just cannot cope with the increased population in this area.
I appreciate the fact that there are chairs, but a little more would be convenient. Sometimes it can smell quite unpleasant. Quite a lot of litter and the bus timetables could be refreshed a little more. Overall, the station is satisfactory and can have some more improvements.
Always when the trains are cancelled or delayed there is no member of staff . Today for example on platform 2 was no Information about the trains to Luton . I've been waiting for 30 minutes. And this is not just today, this is happening often. .
Park at Bunn's lane to get into Mill Hill near Platform 4, or Park via the Apcoa app in the undercroft area. Tickets can be paid for or collected at the foot of the stairs if entering from the undercroft end.
We visited this restaurant first time and feel like home to home because of friendly customer services and excellent behaviour. Food was so lovely and delicious I recommend everyone to visit there .
Mill hill broadway is a lovely station and is great for Trainspotting! Also you can see HST’s at the moment. I will be sad when the HST get scrapped tho :( Alo the VP185’S Are now out of service.
Easy to get to from the A1. Good amount of covered parking as well as the large outdoor carpark. Just download the Apcoa app and register as it is cash free parking. £3.50 for all day parking
very bad service, good service writes on the internet and trains canceled after arriving at the station! I've already lost a lot of my nerves and time
Don't follow any train schedule from Google map, it's not correct cause they reduced the services plus delay and cancellation is high on these trains.
Small station , no wheelchair access but neat and staff are helpful.Lots of buses just outside the station and lots of shops near it too.
Needs to be a slope for wheelchairs, needs to be an overpass for walking and there needs to be more announcements for trains
Not very easy if you have problems with your legs no lift for disabled people wails not be able to use but helpfully syaff
Not very nice station but with decent service. You get in through a gritty, dark and dirty car park and bus station.
