I met the owners wife at a social gathering a few years back, and their business had just started. I have always recommended their company when I was in the real estate business, and decided to use them myself for a small move from Somerset West to Gardens. Deposit payment was made immediately, and when I requested confirmation of the move, I was asked if payment was made in full (why not send me a request for final payment with confirmation of move date, rather than waiting for the client to do same??), payment was made within minutes. The unfortunate, and of course unforseen issue, came up when the dishwasher needed to be moved and the stop-tap was stripped, which the plumber later confirmed was stripped by the removal company incorrectly attempting to disconnect the tap; Monarch arranged BY THEIR OWN ACCORD, and suggested that they collect the dishwasher the following day and will drop it off at the new address; come the next day, not a call to confirm and when I sent a message, I was ignored; again I followed up, just to be told they are not prepared to collect the unit and deliver it. Well, my suggestion to clients interested in this company: find someone else to do your relocation; relocating is stressful enough, and to be messed about by a removal company, after THEY suggested the collection and drop off, and now simply pull up their shoulders, walk away!! I should have known when I got that snarky message upon my request for confirmation of removal date, that I should find another provider! There are many!! Core Relocation are fantastic, as are ACreate. I trust that the shocking service of this firm, will translate into a declining business, as it deserves! NO surprise that there are shocking reviews on HELLOPETER! I should have done more research than just gone on meeting someone. CJV

The staff were competent, polite and friendly, however my interactions with company director were of the most unhinged and unprofessional interactions I have ever had in a customer situation. The director was bullying, accusatory and aggressive. At one point after he took possession of our household items he threatened not to deliver them because he had disagreed with my husband on the phone. The truck was 3 hours late for pickup and 36 hours late for delivery but I was reluctant to call the office to find out it's progress because I did not want to be bullied on the phone. He also accused me of recording our calls (which I had no intention of but was an indication that he understood how inappropriate the tone of the conversation was). One or two items were damaged in the move and our boxes looked very worn out when they arrived. It is very stressful to move and to put all your possessions in the hands of a service provider. I would not recommend working with Monarch to anyone considering a moving process.

Searching via Google for a service provider is always a lottery.  I hit the jackpot when I chose Monarch Moving to handle the packing and shipping of my household goods from Somerset West to my family in the UK. I read the reviews of other satisfied customers.  Friendly, pleasant, helpful, efficient, experienced, professional were words which ran through them all. The service received from the team at Monarch was outstanding, from first contact through to delivery. My precious piano arrived in-tact along with all my belongings. The collections of my furniture was excellent but the delivery was not to my satisfaction as most of my boxes were damaged and if the contents were breakable they were broken, even with a fragile sticker on it. Anton guaranteed me that my contents would remain in their vehicle until delivery but they decides to place my contents into storage which created the boxes getting damaged. Tony Wilson
