"A heartfelt thanks to the Moores team - especially Richard"
Worst experience of my life! I went in to get my bike service and checked stating I was having a problem with the rear derailleur. I paid for a silver service which includes a clean and everything else. On return they said there was no problem with the re derailleur and that instead I needed an entirely new rear wheel hub, casette and chain. The bill came to near £300 and the bike was returned to me, and it hadnt been cleaned. When I queried this they took offence and said it had - the bike is white and it was pretty obvious it hadnt and the derailleurs both front and back still had gunk in them. Three weeks later my chain went, and the rear derailleur jammed, so I took the bike bake raising the issue. I have never been met with such an unhelpful shop assistant with a worse attitude than the man who served me, who was the same person who dealt with the bike in the first place. He proceeded to talk down to me and tell me it was pretty much my fault, although having spoken to a mechanic during a race (which is where the fault occurred and ended my race that day), he said it was a problem with the dirt and grime in the derailleur and not actually a mechanical problem. When telling Moors about this they looked at me like I was talking rubbish. I sent my husband to collect my bike a few days later and he was faced again with alot of attitude and a rude welcome trying to make him pay for the work they did which was only to re-clean the part, which they should have done in the first place! They then went on to tell him that apparently the entire group set needs replacing - despite it being 8 months old! Both my husband and I are really disappointed with both the quality of the work done and the overall customer experience. We have been treated really badly and would NOT recommend this place. We were recommended it by triathlon friends and it is such a shame we didnt get the same service and respect as them. Please DO NOT go here, you get much better service at Evans, or your local bike shop but NOT here! Worst WORST bike shop I have ever experience and we are seasoned triathlete competing in Ironman races so it isnt like we dont know our stuff!
Although I eventually got a refund by returning on a second visit and insisting on this with the manager at the Teddington store where they deal with returns, sadly, despite being a loyal customer for many years I feel my latest experience has not met the customer service standards I’ve come to expect. I purchased a Mirider saddle which seemed to have all the bells and whistles but within a few rides I realised it leaked quite badly from the seams gifting me with a very wet ‘rear’ after a few minutes of sitting on it. As this was really unacceptable I reluctantly returned it to the Twickenham store, exercising my right to a return or refund as per consumer rights legislation but the member of staff I spoke with was fairly unpleasant and completely dismissive of the problem and instead offered a trade discount on another saddle. I also contacted the supplier who said: ‘I must admit, our saddles are not sold as waterproof, with that amount of water any saddle will become wet, especially with how much padding is in there.’ Helpfully explaining the sub-standard design and manufacturing of an item used in an outdoor sport! Clearly there is a lesson here in terms of purchasing a saddle. If it does not specifically say it’s waterproof and especially if it has seams - seriously consider buying another brand or design. And ensure you get an undertaking from the retailer/staff about what they will do about it if it leaks before you buy.
Amazing service and help today from Rob and Ryan at Moore's Cycles in Twickenham. I overbalanced and fell heavily on top on my bike whilst walking alongside it a few miles from home. I only suffered a few bruises and hurt pride, but the gears were bent so that they tangled with the wheel spokes. I managed to get to Moore's Cycles on the way home, and explained that I need the bike to commute to my new job in a couple of weeks and now I couldn't even get home! I had been planning to call today and book in a service. They are really busy at present but agreed to fix it then and there. 20 minutes later it was fixed and rideable again, just needs a bit of remedial work to be booked in. I purchased a pump I needed whilst there and when I got home I realised they hadn't even charged me. (I am sure that kindness isn't something you'd find everywhere). They really made my day and I will sing their praises to the rooftops! Thank you guys.
I have visited the Twickenham store a few times in the past but have needed a comprehensive overhaul of my bike in the last month - chain, chainset, derailleur, shifters, cables, brakepads and more. Moores in Twickenham have been absolutely great. They have managed to do the work rapidly and around my schedule, they have offered and delivered a cable tune up once the new ones stretch out and now my bike feels like new. All the staff I have encountered have been cheerful, knowledgeable and very happy to help. When they have the parts in store they are willing to get cracking on repairs promptly and the second time I had to visit them (my components went in two discrete waves) they did not charge labour costs. I will most definitely recommend Moore's Twickenham to friends and family, and continue to return there myself.
A heartfelt thanks to the Moores team - especially Richard. Used Moore's for all cycle needs over many years; always excellent. Today, they surpassed themselves. They were on hand to fix my bike, quickly and save the day; i can now get to work tomorrow! They have bailed me out before; a minor bike malfunction left me unable to cycle home. A swift bit of Moore's Magic sent me safely on my cycling way; I was super grateful! That type of kind customer service makes a massive difference. It's very reassuring to know Moore's are there when things go wrong; they are worth every penny. I'd like the team to know their efforts are much appreciated, especially in such strange times. Thank you very much!
As a complete laymen around bikes I was completely looked after by both Rob and Olly and made to feel welcome by all the other staff. Rob and Olly in particular stood out for me with their professional attitudes and totally mond boggling technical knowledge. Both knew their stuff and neither tried to make me buy something I didn't need. I gave them my budget and they helped me get all the gear and I needed, recommending stuff when necessary and offering advice and info too. They also put the whole thing together (lights/basket/drinks holder/etc etc. I will definitely come back and recommend them 100%. Thanks guys! Sarah x
I have been going to Moore's Cycles for last 2 years. I bought my first proper bike from there for my commute to work. The service I received from enquiring about a bike, purchasing my bike, advice on maintaining and fixing my bike, has been nothing short of outstanding. I would like to give a special mention to Rob who has been ever present in my biking journey and has been great to chat to whether it be bike or life. Rob goes the extra mile whenever I go to Moore's Twickenham and I am forever grateful - all round great bloke with a Bike shop I recommend to many people.
A few weeks back disaster struck when the chain came off my bike in Twickenham and, in despair, I walked it to Moore's Cycles for any assistance. A guy who was working out the back of the store let me through, cleaned my grotty old chain, fitted a new link to it, and attached the chain back onto my bike for me. I asked at the till how much I owed and he only charged me for the new link, even though I offered, and would have been only too pleased to pay for his labour!. Amazing kindness and generosity which I'll not forget. Many, many thanks!.
Brilliant. Service and knowledge at the Twickenham shop is simply excellent. I will never purchase a bike either online or from a national chainstore again. This is also followed up with superb aftersales treatment with little tweaks and adjustments often done for nothing or next to nothing. In terms of servicing there is also an attitude of not doing (or charging for) anything the mechanics don't think is necessary, which is refreshing in these times. Overall, the only bike shop anyone in west London will ever need.
Great advice from Caroline and Rob in recommending options for a new bike for my son. Made such a difference being able to test ride briefly in the car park at the back of the shop, as that quickly showed us the differences in the three suggested options and made it easy to settle on the right one to buy. Follow up from them and the team at Twickenham was top notch, and we were even able to collect same day. So much better than our experience with a certain national chain in recent years. Thank you to all at Moores.
O myGod!!! I've been into so many bike shops and it was hell!! No customer service or even care! No one actually was of any help or knowledge! Then we stumbled across the Moors bikes the guys couldn't be more helpful and supportive and help me make the right choice for my requirement! Fun they wouldn't just let me buy a bike! I had to try it first! Amazing thank you so much Moore's at Teddington! I wholeheartedly will recommend you to anyone that requires any support in purchasing or accessories for a bike!
I went today to buy new scooters from Twickenham branch for my twins and the lady who works there was lovely and very helpful but there is one of guys was incredibly unkind and impatient with the children, all they were doing trying the scooters and he looked completely bothered by their presence. Why do they sell children's scooters if you can't stand the sight of kids. honestly I only bought the scooters from there because of the helpful lady. Never going back and I truly don't recommend them at all.
Had a fantastic experience at Moore's this morning. I came off my bike on the way to work, bending the rear derailleur in the process and stopping me using most of the gears. I stopped at Moore's without an appointment and they were able to put the bike on the stand, look at the gears, get them all working again and nicely aligned and I was back on my way 15mins later. I used to shop here 20 years ago when I grew up in Twickenham, and have always had excellent service there.
Ever felt uneasy with the mechanic working on your bike? Ryan (Workshop Manager) put right an awful maintenance job by another bike shop. I give 5 stars as he helped me see sense to change-out a gear cable (cable wear and tear other bike shop did not detect) before he tuned the derailleur which now shifts very accurately. No slipped chain, all sprockets engage. The result is I have full range of gears indexing and ride with confidence. A whopping thank you !!
Had wonderful service today from a lovely lady and young man. They couldn’t have been more helpful. They selected the correct pedal cuffs and fitted them for me - not an easy task as the screws were rusted on. They then fitted a beautiful new seat and finally advised me on how to source new mud guards for my wheels. I will go back when I next need help. All done quickly and correctly and in the centre of Twickenham. Thank you. Friday 22/7/22
Have taken my road bike to Moore's a number of times now and the guys there always do a great job of whatever I ask for. Always phone me before starting work to confirm what needs to be done and have even talked me out of things I thought needed doing. Fitting up new carbon rims with rotors, cassette, tubes and tyres they even lined up the tyre logos with the valves, that's the level of attention to detail I really appreciate!
Always great & friendly services especially making sure your bike is road worthy. Will always recommend this store to others in my local area I have used this bike shop for all kinds of advice & services over many years. Especially a big thank you to Rob & Ryan who both saved the day spotting something that needed doing to my well over used bike!! Much appreciated 5 stars to you both & to the rest of the team. Many thanks.
Grudging service. Independent shop which needs to make more effort if want to stop peoplesshopping online. They were very unwilling to exchange a returned gel seat. But did so. Very unwilling to let me try on a helmet. But did. Long queue outside but no awareness or attempt to speed up. Only ONE customer allowed in. Not wearing face coverings. I have been here alot and dread the dismissive attitude of staff.
Great bike shop around. Good selection of bikes and e-bikes but as a shop most important thing is customer service and bike workshop services. You cannot get bike workshop services online! Always very accommodating and always aim to fix bike issues as fast as possible. With less bike shops out there and more demand for bikes there is greater demand on bike workshop services to keep us all cycling more!
Very bad service , keep Lying, creating they own stories .. No trust at all .. They told me , they will do it in one day , I did bring my bike in the morning and I been told to collected later .. Next day I did call them and they told me nothing is done , because they waiting for my instructions , what to do.. But no ones gave me a call or nothing.. FOOL OF SCAM ..
Went riding on Saturday morning and the bolt holding my pedal come loose and got lost. Went to a few different shops and it felt like they couldn't be bothered to help. However we got to Moores and they were very happy to help straight away and only took a couple minutes to fix. I will be buying all spare parts and services from here and no where else from now on.
I work for the NHS Physiotherapy team and use my bike to get round to patients homes. This morning my back tyre got a puncture and respectfully they were busy, but one of their staff members called Rob was a legend and got it fixed for me on the spot so I could continue working! Thank you Rob, I managed to get to my next patient in time.
Very close to closing time on a hot Friday afternoon and still had fantastic service. I had mistaken phoned the Teddington branch who said to bring my daughters bike in today. I arrived at the Twickenham branch but they were fully booked. Thank you very much Rob for taking the time and fixing my daughters bike. Much appreciated.
Needed bike bottom bracket replacement. Even though i called on a saturday, Moores were able to fit me in the same day. Friendly honest advice both on the phone and in store. Checked the bike when I dropped it off and committed to a fair price. Bike running smoothly now and very happy with the service. A great local bike shop.
Thank you for today!! Although I did not have an appointment, they took my bike in and checked & fixed the gear switch in no time(reason why I came by). They also gave me great advice on how to look after it. I would greatly recommend Moor's Cycles, as they have done a thorough job + they are very helpful & friendly.
My daughter lost the nut from her bike wheel and numerous conversations with the original supplier had got me nowhere. I popped into Moore's this morning on the off chance and they couldn't have been more helpful. Within 2 minutes I had a replacement nut free of charge and a happy daughter. Thanks guys
Pretty poor cust service in Twickenham. Refused to give any idea of cost to fix my bike without seeing in person (wheel was stolen). Halfords and Giant gave a rough quote on the spot subject to them seeing the bike. The guy on the front desk was pretty dismissive and won't be returning with my custom.
Stuart was very friendly, knowedgeable and helpful. Will definitely be back for any additional cycling equipment/part. They had one item left of a part I needed, a part which seemed to be sold out on at least 20 other websites I tried. The only other place I could find it was in Germany via ebay.
I highly recommend this store. Staff are very knowledgable and friendly. Good selection of bikes. They clearly care about customer service and the cycling community. No upselling, they even do charitable work. Shout out to Rob for 5* service + route suggestions. I'll be back, fantastic store.
Such a friendly and professional service from everyone who works at Moore's Cycles at this branch. Repaired my gear cable, fixed and tightened brakes and replaced my peddle (peddle was done free of charge!) Rode my bike home and it rides like when I first bought it. Cheers guys!
Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and experienced. A great local bike shop. I've bought all my children's bikes from Moores and it's great that they can try out the bikes in the car park behind the shop. As a family all our bikes are serviced here and I highly recommend them.
I had my seat and pole stolen from my bike and I brought to moores where all the staff were fantastic and sorted out my problem and even put all the new parts on my bike for me with a couple of cheeky extras fantastic shop and staff Thankyou fully recommend this place
Very professional service. Went out of their way to fit me a customised basket. Lovely staff. Very friendly. Very professional. They know their bikes and the quality of the bikes is far above the mainstream you find on the high street. Very competitive prices as well.
Noticed my back tyre was soft on my way from Richmond Station to Twickenham. Asked a fellow cyclist if any bike shops close by and he pointed to Moores. They were so nice. Pumped up both my tyres and didn't charge a penny. I said I would pay-on the karma!
Bike was previously electric. The Guys removed all unnecessary items and renewed the needful.... I basically (apart from the old handgrips) got a new bike for under £150 Clapping for these guys!!! They got me active again!!! Thanks a whole bunch!!!
The guys do their job properly. I have never had my whole race bike serviced so well. I wish they offered my payment options instead of 3 level charge system. Parts expensive compared to online purchase, but servicing excellent!
A wonderful company to deal with. I bought a Pashley bicycle from Leon and his team- they were fantastic from start to finish. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you to Moore's for a great bike purchasing experience!
Despite being really busy and understaffed when I rocked up with my punctured tyre this morning, the guys had repaired it within a matter of hours and I collected it at lunchtime. Can't thank you enough. Great service.
Great service from Rob and the team at Moore's Cycles, Twickenham today. I have been buying and servicing my family's bikes here for 20+ years, and they always do a good job. Thank you, well done and keep it up.
Very friendly staff who went the extra mile. I bought new grips and pedals and they fitted them for free. Great range of products in shop and knowledgeable bike mechanics that are happy to give advice.
I’ve been a customer over 10 years and the cycle servicing is always top notch. I had tried a number of other companies prior to settling on Moores and never been disappointed with that decision!
We have just had excellent service at Moores Cycles today. It was easy to book the bike service online. The staff, including Rob, were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. We will be back!
Many thanks to the amazing staff at Moore's Cycles. They swiftly fixed my brompton after crashing on my way to work today. Very grateful to have them in Twickenham. Special thanks to Johnny :)
Very happy to get my commuter hybrid serviced at Moores Isleworth. Great communication. They know their stuff. Reasonable on costs and the bike hasn't felt as good to ride in a long while!
Have been taking my bike here for years and there is always great service and value. My bike always feels so much better after a service and Moores always only charges me for what I need.
Rob was extremely helpful advising me on new set of tyres for my mountain bike. Move to more urban tyres. Work was rapidly done and his know how was great. I would definitely recommend.
Great service Bought new road tyres but struggle to fit them. Phoned shop and told bring them in they will fit. No charge fantastic response strongly recommend for all cycling needs
I went to more cycles this morning to get some bike lights. really happy with the service. shop has a positive feeling about it and they look after you very well. thanks again guys
Thanks for fixing my clincher in 2 seconds. I could not do this even having done similar job a 100 times before. Young guy who served me was so kind and the entire shop is great.
We have bought every bike we own from Moores. Their advice and help and service has been fantastic. They help you rather than sell to you. Complete confidence in them.
I came in this morning with a part that had fallen off my sons bike. Bailey and Caroline fitted me in immediately and didn't charge me a penny! Thank you once again!
Used these guys for years and there is a good reason why! Quality fast affordable and friendly service. Will be back again for sure as you know. Cheers guys Leo
I’ve been getting my bike serviced at moores for years. Always friendly, helpful, generous with their time and do a great job for a good price
Great staff, quick service, good service price to value and overall a great experience. Would come back for any problems. Highly recommend
A big “thank you” to Caroline at Moores in Twickenham. Very knowledgable, and super helpful in finding the perfect bike for my daughter.
I was stuck out with an underinflated tyre; they were more than happy for me to use their pump and give advice. Thanks!

Stuart was amazing yesterday! Got us back on the road to Bournemouth! Great staff
