Mooroolbark library is a small but extra friendly place .More than adequate selection of books .DVD s magazines etc plus computers What makes this library stand out is the long term friendly and always happy to help staff .Nice park and playground outside in Hookey park An update to my reviews on this library Going through a rough time with very sick husband In library and happened to mention this when visiting for book exchange. Lovely librarian took time to talk to me re. My concerns and worries .I really felt better after thus chat .This shows you how community minded and caring .I didn t go for sympathy but recieved a caring listener .So besides running a lovely little library really well they go over and above their job .Mooroolbark library may not have all the bells and whistles but they provide much more than you get from most libraries A big thank you for being there fir our community
I absolutely love the Mooroolbark library. I come to the library, after school hours weekly. I go to school all the way in Donvale. but whenever I get off the bus sometimes, I go down to Maccas and I like getting a coffee. then I casually walk to the Mooroolbark library and I just sit there, and watch YouTube on my phone. But from my own perspective, I personally think - that the library is a fantastic place to go to if you’re just thinking of chilling out, and having some time to yourself. As well as getting away from home for about an hour also. And yeah, if anyone’s willing to have some time to themselves - I’d highly suggest the Mooroolbark library! And that’s my personal experience. Thanks for reading!
This is what a library should be like. It should be it's own building with warm lighting and plenty of places to sit. The most important thing is that it is quiet. Lilydale Library fails this by being crammed into two rooms in the old Swinburne building. Ringwood library fails this by being sandwiched between a communal working space and Ringwood Council Services with no noise mitigation between the two. Bring back the corrals that only one person can occupy at a time.
This library is next to Hookey park. So you can stay for long. The place is usually not crowded and the staff is friendly. The toilets are clean. I wish they had more books for early readers.
Great little local library. Friendly , helpful staff, free wifi and next to the park. I often work from here when I need a change of scenery or to concentrate on a 'deep dive'
The Staff Are Extremely keen to Help You To Find Books And information And Also Very Very Friendly
Quaint little library offering internet access and peaceful reading spaced next to the park.
