Julie Morrow and her beautiful vet Nurses and reception staff answered our call 30 mins before closing on the most beautiful Autumn Saturday and heard our desperation…please can you assess our beautiful Rory, a 7 Month old Aussie Terrier who has just been hit by a Motorcycle and Rory was clinging to life…They said YES, bring him here now…our own vet (on call Emergency vet) said no, and we weren’t even clients at Mt Evelyn practice and Julie and her team took him in. They gave him sedation and pain killers and oxygen, IV fluids, xrays and warmed him with heat packs and blankets and stabilised him and kept him very comfortable. Their professionalism and care was exceptional and faultless. Rory was transferred by us to Care in Collingwood later that evening, and unfortunately he died on the way…but he stood no chance at all, and pain and suffering if it wasn’t for Julie and her team. We will be adopting Mt Evelyn vet clinic as our clinic from now on without doubt if they will have us as clients. I highly recommend this clinic and again can’t thank Julie and her team enough. Our 9 year old rabbit had lost use of her back legs. After having rabbits for a long time, I knew this, along with her age, meant sadly her time was up. Upset, I rung mount evelyn vet, where we had taken our pets before, and explained what was happening. I even said, she needs to be put down. The receptionist told me they were "booked out today". Now I understand that, but a true caring vet would find time to help put an animal out of their pain, also the fact it would only take 10 minutes to administer said injection. Instead, she suggested I try another vet, "maybe Montrose, I hear they are good with rabbits". That comment really annoyed me. When your already upset, the last thing you want, is to be fobbed off to someone, somewhere you've never been. And secondly, I didnt need someone who was good with rabbits, I just needed someone to put her to sleep. We ended up at coldstream animal aid. Although they were booked out, they said to come in straight away. They treated our rabbit with respect and made the whole situation much easier. Never again will I use this "vet"...and I use that term loosely.

Fantastic service and extremely compassionate towards us and our pets. We couldn't ask for better staff willing to help us with any concerns or questions we have about our pets. Our vet Sheree is always willing to help with anything we are worried about no matter what it is, stands in the parking lot talking to us about all our concerns no matter how many times we repeat ourselves and even calls or emails us if we miss her on the days she isn't there. The whole team is just as committed and devoted to our pets as we are, which really makes for a relaxing and comforting environment as well as makes our pets just as happy to go there as we are. Couldn't recommend a better place to take your pet.

Thank you so much for your wonderful care and wealth of knowledge in helping to diagnose some issues with my cat. You provided a sound plan to investigate some issues, gave me up front expectations around her ailments and the options and costs to treat. Understanding your process made everything so much less stressful. Something else which was unexpected, my cat came out after each visit calm and not stressed, even after being shaved and scanned etc. I wasn’t there to see her appointments in person but based on her demeanour coming out afterwards, you must be incredibly gentile with her. Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

I couldn’t not speak highly enough of Julie and this clinic. The genuine care and quality of service is second to none. My dog is usually reluctant to see other vets and when she came here, she was giving kisses to everyone and left smiling despite having a leg injury. Julie took the time to explain everything to me, all of my options and explained the pros / cons of each. The nurse Alison was also a kind, empathetic person who went out of her way to make my visit as easy as possible. I don’t live in the area but will happily drive across town to bring my dog back here. Couldn’t speak highly enough of this vet

Came highly recommended from a friend and wasn't disappointed with the experience. Great staff who really care about what they do, and for the 1st time in years my youngest cat, who has rather a feisty temperament, tolerated all of the tests and the vaccination process with minimal complaint (ie. there was no blood loss from myself or the vet) Animals can tell when their with people that care and these guys do. Will definitely be back for another round with my eldest cat.

This place gives out your Personal information to other pet owners without your permission. We started a legal action with this vet. And the owner made fun of my financial situation by laughing because I lost my job and battle with mental health. the lady who answers the phone all the time is a complete smart a.s.s with way too much attitude and zero decent customer service. Awful experience dealing with this vet i will never ever go here.

Friendly staff but a very expensive clinic. They diagnosed my 15 year old dog with arthritis and said she will need to be on medication for the rest of her life. Medication cost a fortune when bought directly from this clinic and they refuse to provide even one repeat to the script when I am forced to buy it online. Luckily I have found another vet who is much more affordable whilst still providing a high level of care for my pets.

My partner was beside herself when after turning down an exorbitant operation fee for an injury to our dog she was then charged $80 for what was a 2 minute quote. We were new to the area and had been to this vet for a number of issues as it was our local. After a few visits to other vets in the area we found that Mount Ev Vet puts profit in front of care. To charge for a operation quote is down right rude!

Waited half an hour in the car as was told no contact my wife gets a call where are you telling me I have missed my appointment. As per instructions which said we in the car we will call you nothing . Have been using the vet there for over 20 years after today lack of service I am done . Don’t have a policy you don’t follow thanks for wasting my time . My business will go else where for the next 15 years .

Our family have had the sad task of saying goodbye to Star, our beloved 14 year old family dog. Nick, Kia and Alison all assisted with the process, providing compassionate comfort and support for Star over the last few months and on the night of her passing. They also showed the same level of care and compassion to our family during the process which we all greatly appreciated. Thank you guys.

Having worked in the veterinary industry for 10+ years, I was nervous about finding a new vet in a much smaller town than my previous. . But I shouldn't have worried, because the team at Mt Ev vets are some of the best I've come across. Caring, friendly and most importantly - thoroughly examine both my cat and dog! In particular Sheree, my golden adores her!

Dr Nick and all of the staff here always go above and beyond for us and our fur babies. They have also spent special time nurturing our human babies with their teddy bear vet clinic they held on the school holidays. Wonderful people doing wonderful things.

They were the only vet in this area happy to see my chicken that was so sick she had to be put to sleep. The staff were very compassionate and didn't try flog me off to somewhere else like the four other vets in the area . Highly recommend the service.

What a beautiful group of people! I really can put my trust in any of the team members to ensure that my pet will be looked after. Very family-feeling Vet and also they always find a spot for me when I need help asap. Great value too!

My problem is how to get my dog to LEAVE. Seriously though, the care these guys take of my dog is evident in the way they are holding her after a recent surgery here. I can always trust in them to make everything better for her.

So happy with the quality of the groom our dog received!! Our dog has bad anxiety and is usually pretty traumatised after getting groomed. Not this time! He's happy, calm and dematted . We know where we'll be going from now on.
