absolutely no bedside manner for any of the doctors on staff at this location. the only doctors i have seen at this location that humanize there patients (dr. mcgregor and dr. nassar) have since left the practice, for good reason it seems. in this past month, i have dealt with belittling, traumatizing doctors (dr. mehta and dr. dropkin in particular) who were more worried about what time they could get home for dinner then the physical and mental health of their patients. dr. mehta treated me like i was simply an unstable hypochondriac, offered zero sympathy, unclear advice and no explanation for treatment, and did not follow up on my blood results with any explanation whatsoever. after dealing with her utter disregard for human empathy, i made it very clear to the third doctor i was seen by this month (if this doesnt say something, i dont know what does...),dr. dropkin, regarding my rights as a health care patient (ie. that i should be properly informed on what his prognosis/informed opinion is, not just left to contemplate if they even listened to my symptoms in the first place). dr dropkin explained away his coworkers disrespectful and unprofessional behaviors, saying maybe she was just not the right doctor for me, and then followed up by asking me about my mental state. i was asked to fill in a form describing my anxiety levels, even though i clarified that i have been recieving pyschiatric treatment for years now. dr dropkin’s response to that was perhaps you should change your medicines... like... excuse me? this was my second time seeing him, ever, and he has absolutely no idea about my mental health history, so to offer “advice” on the subject is incredibly unprofessional, nonetheless rude. I made it very clear that I an already working one-on-one with a therapist and pyschiatrist, and i have made that clear since i became a patient at this practice a few years ago. i have dealt with incompetence and passive-aggressive behaviors from too many doctors at this location to stay silent anymore and i will be leaving this review as to make sure new patients are properly informed about the emotional capacity and hasty practices of these doctors. i hope to recieve a lengthy apology from both of the doctors listed above and assurance that they will work on their limitations and flaws in treatment as listed above.

I suggest skipping this provider (Dr. Mehta) and this location if you are able. This was one of the more frustrating medical experiences that I have had. Though the staff was all very kind, they did not make me feel as though they were competent, good listeners. I had an issue with my referrals and getting in touch with Dr. Mehta. Dr. Mehta is professional but she made me feel rushed. Most of my other issues had to do with the followup. Apparently, the medication prescribed to me was not noted in my chart. When I called with some very specific questions about how to continue my treatment they couldn't find the prescribed medication. I left questions for Dr. Mehta on a Wednesday and did not hear back until I called the office back over the two following days (less Otono, who was a great listener, made me feel as though he understood what I was asking, and always followed up as promised). When I did hear back, the answers I received were not specific enough to answer my questions. There also seems to be a lack of communication between the team. One person would call me with an update that had already been relayed to me. Meanwhile, my new questions went unanswered. This is not emblematic of a well integrated, communicative team. I took my questions elsewhere which cost me a new appointment with a different provider.

Normally I’d give this place a 5 star rating, but unfortunately I was having my yearly physical and little did I know that asking something about a problem I was having with my thumb would get me charged for another office visit. Silly me, I thought this was a place where you talk about your body, but no. Did the Dr. Tell me he was supposed to charge me for a separate visit? No. He should have but didn’t. Funny thing is is that my son was there for his physical and he asked a question about something that was going on with his body but No charge. Same with my daughter. See, these corporations don’t want to make it look too obvious that they’re trying to rob you blind, just a little extra charge so maybe you won’t notice. Someone is telling the Dr’s to really crunch numbers and get as much as possible. Turns out my Dr. Made $1500.00 in an hour as he saw my daughter, son, and myself. I’m telling you this so you don’t go blindly into your physical appointment and ask something about your body (duh, I mean why would you??) to save you some headache and cynicism, just go see the specialist who works in the field of your issue. In the past, I have had primary care dr’s actually do what I needed to be done, but sadly all you get is your blood press Taken, maybe blood work, weight, and that’s about it.

My usual doctor is Lily Wong, but she was not in the office so I had to schedule a last minute 4:30 PM appointment to see Dr. Gray because I was experiencing excruciating pelvic pain while walking. The subways had delays. I could not walk. I arrived at 5:50 and he refused to see me. Instead, he wanted to send me to the hospital. He was not seeing any patients at the time (his 5:45 patient was having her insurance verified) and still, he refused. The receptionist was not helpful - she referred me to appointment maker who said that while there were two doctors available, neither would take me. Oh yes, and let's not forget that I called in the emergency on Tuesday and Dr. Wong only responded to my call on Thursday. It's a shame that I like her as a doctor, but in terms in the practice, it is the least sympathetic and most unresponsive I have ever encountered.

I would give 0 star if I could. Avoid this location. This review is for the front desk only, didn’t even get to see a doctor. I made an appointment on the app, and called to confirm the doctor takes my insurance. I took two trains and walked 15mins to that location when I really needed to see a doctor. Having chest pain and couldn’t breath. When I got there 15 mins early and was told after I checked in that I need a referral to see a primary doctor. And none of this was communicated with me when I called, and no message was sent via my chart to request any information. When a patient needs to see a doctor and travelled all the way, the minimum the front desk could do is to verify and check the appointment/insurance and if anything else is required. Will never go back to that location.

I traveled from Queens for a 4:45pm appointment. Ran late and arrived at 4:54pm. Was still made to check in through the portal (which is a ridiculous and unnecessary process when you’re not even a new patient) and asked to pay my copay only to be told that I’m super late, Dr Mehta will not see me, I have to come another day and will be refunded my copay. Apparently there is an 8-minute grace period that no one tells you about, and then I am told that I can’t be seen because I am scheduled for a 50-minute appointment rather than a 30-minute one.. whatever that means, because Rina Mehta walked out of the office at 5:19pm, whereas if I was 9 minutes earlier she’d be staying until 5:35pm.

I showed up for my appointment 5 minutes early, only to wait over 45 minutes. I had to leave, as I had other appointments, and waiting that length of time for a scheduled appointment is unacceptable. They kept telling me, just a few more minutes. There is a sign in the lobby that if you don't give them 24 hours notice when cancelling an appointment that they will charge you. How about I charge the doctor for wasting my time. What a joke- if the doctor is running that far behind they should call the patients and give them the option to reschedule.

I get the impression that no one here actually cares about patients. The doctor I saw was fully unconcerned. Reception is no better. The first thing they ask after your name is “what insurance do you have?” I sat here for an hour before I was finally seen and watched at least eight people come in. All the same thing: “what insurance do you have?” Not even hello or kindness. If someone is at a doctor’s office, it’s likely because they need to be. I can’t think of anyone who’d be here and endure this treatment for fun.

I really love this place. I've been going here for 4-5 years. Dr. Suden is a very kind, gentle, thoughtful doctor and a good listener. Mount Sinai is one of the better hospital systems and they have a great messaging portal with an easy way to ask your doctor questions. They also set up video visits making the whole process even better. There are some downsides, as with any doctor's office, but I moved a bit further away and kept this doctor as my primary care physician. Thanks to Dr. Suden and the team!

I have been using this practice for many years for my annual. Dr. Simonson is very professional however, the office wait times and inability to capture someone on the phone became increasingly unbearable - I've been waiting 30 minutes for someone to pick up, as I type. My last visit I met with another practitioner because Dr. Simonson was scheduled to be out indefinitely. I was uncomfortably rushed after a sonogram and the receptionist was miserable, so I finally decided to finally switch doctors.

Worst bedside manner I’ve ever experienced , Dr.Dropkin was rude , interrupted me every time I went to answer his questions . Was short , made judgments about my lifestyle in regards to dietary and uninformed and ignorant statements in regards to physical exercise. Highly discourage anyone from going here , the rest of the drs are subpar as well. Someone should send them to etiquette school or simply a basic understanding of empathy. I’d give 0 stars if I could

Terrible office, you’ll have better luck going to any other MSD location. The front desk consistently lies and forces patients to reschedule appointments without need. Front desk would rather gossip than to help patients. Complete disregard for patients need and care. The doctor is in the room for barely five minutes and doesn’t listen to your concerns. I’m changing my PCP as soon as possible and would discourage anyone from making appointments at this office.

Save your life and go to a center that really cares. I’m not sure what happened to this location but, they do not have your health as a priority. Seriously an issue from leadership to the front desk. I would go in depth but, being triaged wasn’t even a thought here so that should be telling. As of this moment, my pcp is no longer located here. I’m headed to actually be treated. If you need a doctor fast go to CityMD a few blocks away.

  • mat mulvaney

Awful. Dr. Mehta had me waiting over a half hour after the nurse checked me out. She prescribed metformin and after a week had me on 2 pills a day. For 3 days straight during the afternoon I went outside and was so dizzy I barely made it a half a block away. I tried calling her twice and she didn't have the decency to return my calls. I am looking for a new doctor. And she didn't tell me what my blood sugar level was

This is seriously one of the best doctors offices I’ve been too. The staff are all lovely and easy to deal with. The doctors are great. Top to bottom I couldn’t recommend it enough. And the space seems just ok at first but the space is kind of. I’ve too. Can’t say anything bad about every time I’ve been there. Plus Dr Carroll is just a wonderful doctor.

  • Dimitri McKay

Not sure if these other reviews have the correct location. This is the 8th street location. I’ve been coming here every three months for a few years now, and I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes of wait time to get into a room. That’s literally why I come all the way from Jersey to see the doc, cause I hate waiting in germ infested waiting rooms.

  • Anne Bradford

This is by far the best medical facility I have seen anywhere. I have been treated by several docs over the last couple of years, and all of them have been spot on with treatment advice and follow up. The front desk staff is efficient and polite. The facility is squeaky clean. I've told them many times that I'm so lucky to have found them.

  • Michael

I put 5 stars for my doctor who is amazing. However, the people at the reception are not super friendly but they are nice. They would gain by welcoming patients with a smile and a friendly way. Or at least pretend. haha! But I don't want to be too harsh cause they are still professionals. The have to work on their soft skills though.

  • Kirsten Syrett

I transferred over to MtS when the Center of Health and Healing was acquired by this group. Unfortunately, the level of service does not compare and all of my doctors have since left this group. In calling to retrieve my medical records, the VM was full and when I reached a person to ask for my medical records, they hung up on me.

  • Dez R.

While I appreciated being able to see Dr. Greene, I did not have a good experience here. In the future I will pick a provider located in a better neighborhood or with a different entry/surveillance protocol so I am not made to feel like I’m being racially profiled just to gain entry into the doctor’s office.

  • Erik

One of the worst and most unprofessional experiences with a doctor in my life. The office staff was rude and actually lied to me about being able to fill a prescription. Both the doctor and staff did not return phone calls after repeatedly promising to do so. Avoid this place if you need real treatment.

  • Gaston Boireau Lahore (gasti)

I have been a patient at Mount Sinai since December 2019 and have only words of thanks and recognition to both the administrative staff and the health professionals, they are amazing and caring. My primary care physician is Dr. Ann Glassman and I am really happy having her to take care of my health.

  • Vanessa Daniel

Do not go here. Zero flexibility. If you should up 7 minutes late you have to reschedule. Even when the doctor was busy with another patient at that time and wouldn’t have been able to come into the appointment bc he was late. No call or email for appointment reminders. Bad service on all aspects.

  • MARTIN Hansen

Dr Owens is fantastic. Excellent bedside manner, talked me through her analysis of my symptoms, was very reassuring, thorough, and thoughtful. The entire staff (particularly Henry) was professional, courteous, and efficient. Would highly recommend!

  • chana angster

if i could give negative starts i would! my great OB office, merged with this one and its been a disaster to get a hold of anyone on the phone and to try and figure what dr to see is even worse and they haven't completely merged the office.

  • Steve

I do not recommend anyone going here to see a doctor or seeking medical advice. The service is unfortunately apathetic and rude. The doctors don't respond to referral inquires and lack customer service skills.

  • Shelley Nunez

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is the worst. I have been trying for an hour and a half to schedule a follow up appointment for my mom. They don't care at all about their patients.

  • Andrew Warren

A bunch of knowledgeable young doctors who seem to really care. When the one who saw you is not in for a follow-up phone call, someone else calls you right back. Truly positive experience

  • Thomas Higgins

Worst doctor ever. Rescheduled my appointment on the day of with no warning. Then refused to see me when 10 minutes late after having called to confirm that would be ok

  • Anthony Candela

No wait, and Dr. Glassman is comprehensive.
