Wow… what a disappointment this Mr. Sub, seafood sandwich was. I ordered this sub because of how it looks in the photo on their menu board. It looked like a good portion of “simulated” orange and white crabmeat and seafood on the submarine bun (as you can see in the stock photo I posted). What I got was barely a half scoop of whatever their thin seafood and mayo mixture was that only covered less than 3/4’s of the bun (see photos I posted on what was made for me). When I asked the lady (who was making my sub) why my sub looked NOTHING like the photo posted on their menu board, she just laughed and said, “those photos are over 25 years old”, and “the people running this company just sit behind a desk and don’t know what’s going on.” I told her that what she made me was pretty sad for $8 and was told, “oh well!” Not the best customer service. I’m sure the lady working made the sub to the managers/company standards, but those standards aren’t very customer friendly. I definitely won’t be back.

The older woman that works nights is honestly so rude. She gives attitude, refuses to serve when the open sign is clearly posted and people are inside and if she is NOT an owner then she should be fired immediately. Terrible for business and also once when I went in she didn’t even come to the desk for a solid 4 minutes. I could have raided the register if I was a criminal and been gone by the time she came to the front. Do NOT recommend. Update: owner is actually the sweetest man ever. The staff member in question I am not sure if she is still working there or not but the owner saved the day on experience in my last visit. I left my debit card in my sweater at work and he comped our whole meal! So sweet

Came in 7mins before 9pm and the lady gave me the rudest interaction i’ve ever had! I get it she was looking forward to end the day, but it doesn’t give her the authority to treat me in a very condescending manner! I was supposed to order the chipotle bbq pulled pork sub but bcos she was so in a hurry, she cut me right there when I said “chipotle” saying that’s not a sub, that’s a sauce!!!! Raising her voice and as if she’s the smartest in the room! You probably want to get rid of that poster you’re advertising at the entrance door If it gives you confusion on top of your misery. Bad combo right there. I hope she feels better tomorrow and review the highlighted offerings before she starts her shift. ☺️

I was there yesterday and a regular walked in after me and the owner proceeded to serve him first before me. So I spoke up and said "hey I was here 1st!!" And the owner dismissed me saying "oh I thought you weren't ready" I was standing there he was putting cheese on bread and told his wife to go get him something. So I was waiting for them to serve us. Then he said along the lines well what do you want then ...in a very disrespectful attitude. My partner Michael said Lisa let's go. Then in a real cheeky look and ugly attitude owner goes " BYE" Terrible man that owner should not be working with the public. Overall ugly, ugly encounter at Mr.Sub on Richmond road in Calgary. Avoid it at all costs!!!!!

What a waste of money. If you’re thinking about ordering Mr. Sub to be delivered via skip the dishes, don’t waste your money. We ordered one seafood sub and one veggie sub. The seafood was fine, the overall taste was fine, but the absolute lack of veggies on both subs was disgusting. Even after asking for lots of veggies this is what we received. I tried contacting Mr. Sub via their customer contact email and got nothing in response. This has nothing to do with skip the dishes and everything to do with Mr. Sub just not caring and trying to cut corners and cut costs.

I'm not sure how people give this place more than one star unless they are friends and family of the owner. Stale bread is regularly served here. If I wanted to eat bread from yesterday then I would just make my sandwiches the day before and bring them to work. No wonder they are now more rare in the city then a car with a non chipped windshield on Deerfoot. If you can't serve fresh bread then close down. Simple as that. Owner also tries to upsell constantly probably because pretty soon there will be no Mr. Subs, and for a good reason. To conclude, freshly baked bread is imperative for any sandwich place and this place fails miserably.

Wow, the individual running the show on Canada Day at 7 PM has AMAZING customers service. We need more people with this energy and enthusiasm. Very outgoing, very personable. What an experience. I left a tip, even though they instructed me how to bypass the tip completely. I'm so glad I did because they entertained our 6 yr old while we finished eating, just with small talk. Love me a classic turkey on white.

Meatball Sub

The guy who works here at nights is very strange. He's friendly enough but gets carried away with conspiracy Theories and invention ideas. This would be totally fine if he could multi task better. The problem is he stops working when he's talking. You will wait 20 minutes for him to make a sub during story time. He also doesn't put enough sauce on the subs. He makes customers visibly uncomfortable as they are stuck listening to him while he makes the subs. Needs to tone it down as he's border line rude to customers. I've noticed this on two occasions.

So I bought a Canadian club from the Mr. Sub on McLeod the day before and it was really good. This location was closer so I went there. They only had white or brown bread. He gave me the smallest, thinnest tomato’s I’ve ever seen. He only gave me 3 slices of turkey meat. The owner made my sandwich. Because he was cheap he lost out on a life long customer. I estimate I would spend $500 a year there minimum. $5000 over a decade. Trying to save pennies, losing out on thousands.

A great place to get a sandwich. I heard some locals talking about this place and decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. The food is fresh, tasty and with plenty of variety. Service is prompt, efficient and friendly. The shop is kept clean, tidy and has a wash room. There is also a TV with sports playing so you can take in a game while enjoying your sandwich. There is plenty of parking adjacent to the shop.

I love mr sub. To me its by far better then subway. But lately the lettuce is browning. Pineapple is pai. They dont change there glove between customers. (Gross) and it just seems like there in turtle speed. 1 guy making the sandwhich while casher stands there. Im not waiting 10 mins for 3 sandwhich ahead of me. So i have left and went to McDonald's to feed my hunger. I will think again about this location service. Sad cause there not many mrsubs left.

This location is the best in the city they have the nicest staff owner is super friendly and knows and loves his job you can watch this man work and you know it’s his passion. Food is always excellent and there’s always a staff member to help! Your staff make you feel welcome and there’s no better thing when walking into a restaurant.

Went here between appointments. Ordered a small BLT sub. First problem the guy gave me 3 pieces of bacon. Second problem the mayo had gone too much and was sour. Three the press was so black and dirty that it transferred onto my sub. I was disgusted and will never again eat there

Owner wasn’t wearing a mask while talking extremely loud to a customer right overtop of all the food, walked in then left. Went in a 2nd time and it took her double the time to make our subs because she was too focused on conversation. very annoying

This Mr sub was great, they catered to all of my needs and even asked me to specify which type of sub sauce. I frequentl visit Mr sub often and this Mr Sub is by far the best. 10/10 would recommend. Brandy is great, always friendly and welcoming.
