Attention sellers! Listen to my experience as a potential buyer. I called Mount Charleston Realty to have them show me a couple of properties in Mount Charleston. I was told that I need to be preapproved or show cash in order to see the property for the first time. Katie told me that they want only serious buyers and I am not one apparently. I will not apply for preapproval because first of all it will lower my credit score and second I am not sure about this property until I see it. Next Katie explained that the market is very competitive and it’s a pandemic time and that’s why they don’t show properties. I pointed out that the property I want to see has been on the market since summer. How is that competitive? Many of these properties in Mount Charleston have been on the market for months or years. No wonder if they use agents like this one! I am a healthcare worker and I work in the hospital and I am fully immunized ( according to science there is 4% chance that I am infected) plus I follow all the social distancing rules when I deal with people. Anyway be aware if you really want to sell your house! At the end I didn't see the house.

We contacted Steven Corr of Mt Charleston Realty to see if they would be interested in selling our property. Steven contacted us and prepared the paperwork right away and had everything going very quickly. He was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and what was the best way to market it. We got an offer after a few weeks and we were ready to close escrow. At the last minute the buyer pulled out of the deal. We were disappointed. Steven didn't hesitate and said don't worry we will work on getting another offer. We will get it sold. Sure enough a few weeks later, we got a great offer and it sold. Steven and Mt Charleston Realty really came through and their expertise in the real estate business really showed. They were a pleasure to work with and were always available for any questions we had. Everything was taken care of right away and we were always kept up to date with the whole process. Katie and Angie did an Open House for my 1941 Old Town Cabin within days of listing with them, and there was a traffic jam of people wanting to see it. Probably one of the very few traffic jams ever to occur in Old Town. The Cabin sold a few days later, and within a week, the rain began to pour, and it kept on pouring. Katie pulled off the impossible, by selling the Cabin while Old Town was being washed away, and sold it at just below the listed price. I also want to add that Katie and her daughter personally cleaned up the entryway to my cabin after the flood, as I was out of town for a few months. My wife and I went to Katie with Mt Charleston Realty to sell our home on the mountain. The whole experience was terrific! We left on vacation to search out our new home in another state, leaving everything in their capable hands. While we were gone, Katie and Steven took care of everything. I lucked out when I chose Mt. Charleston Realty to sell my condo in Centennial Hills. Taylor and Katie made the process so easy and smooth that it was a pleasure to deal with them. They sold my condo in 7 days without a glitch. The whole process took about 6 weeks. I thought being on the east coast would complicate the process , but thru email it was smooth as ice. Charleston Realty is an expert with mountain homes and was able to navigate me through the process of buying my mountain home before, during, and after the sale.

Angie recently sold our house. She has been our realtor for 20 years. The appraisal came in $64,000 less than our asking price. Angie saw that the comps used for the appraisal did not have all the amenities of our house. She contacted the lender (VA) and explained the situation.
