"I do have to agree with Claudette that this branch can get loud fairly often"
"Just randomly stopped in yesterday"
"Spacious, one-level Library that accommodates most your needs: outlets with computer access, study reading areas, and laptop access; drinking policy with no eating allowed; clean, efficient bathrooms; printers, copiers, basic office supplies; and even a Children's Area"
"Great for what it is, but unfortunately overflowing with tweakers and seemingly loitering homeless people"
"Great selection of adult and children's reading"
I do have to agree with Claudette that this branch can get loud fairly often. Not sure why that is. I like this branch as it has several programs and activities, it is large, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I too like the layout and the high ceilings that give the library an airy and spacious feeling.
Just randomly stopped in yesterday. But I was impressed. They set me up with a library card real quick like. And we're very patient and helpful teaching me how to physically locate the book your looking for. Clean. Smells good. Good lighting I would recommend to everyone. Peace.
Spacious, one-level Library that accommodates most your needs: outlets with computer access, study reading areas, and laptop access; drinking policy with no eating allowed; clean, efficient bathrooms; printers, copiers, basic office supplies; and even a Children's Area. 5-stars
Great for what it is, but unfortunately overflowing with tweakers and seemingly loitering homeless people. Hosted a study group there and had to leave because at least 3 street people were making the group feel uncomfortable. Seems to be somewhat of a rest stop for homeless.
Great selection of adult and children's reading. The Tiny Tots and the story time interactive classes that they have are GREAT! And the gal who teaches them is so lovely and friendly and welcoming. This was our first time with my 1yr old and we will definitely be back!
Someone out of their mind accused me of taking computer they were never even signed into. Trying to use my account. Of course the library people fall pray to the homeless and mentally unstable. But I was not giving up the computer. It was not in use when I sat down.
I had a few hours to kill while in Portland and found this library nearby. It's a nice place with a surprisingly large selection of manga, however most were missing their first in the series. I saw things regularly being wiped down and in general it looked clean.
Super thankful for our libraries and the staff and volunteers who keep them running. Their vast contributions to our communities were greatly appreciated during covid and we're so happy to be able to return to our local libraries. Thank you library! We ❤️ you!!
I will always have love for this place. Spent hours here growing up and will be visiting a lot when I go back to school in the fall. Before COVID there were in-person story times and many activities for children and families. Hoping this starts again soon!
The Midland library has a great collection of books, and the staff are always willing to help you find what you need. They also have free Wi-Fi in the building so you can bring your laptop and study. The library also hosts story tellers and other events.
I was impressed at the size of this library, and the deeply endless rows of books and other reading material. The staff were friendly and helpful and they keep the facility clean. It is quieter compared to some other libraries in the county.
Insanely busy library. Crowds of people waiting around at the doors because they open so late in the day. Inadequate wifi bandwidth for so many devices and thus laggy connection. Janitorial staff overwhelmed by so many people and thus nasty
Its great but the kids area is not fenced so kids get out of the area easily which defeats the purpose of it. Parents should be able to have peace of mind while in the library but because of the lack of fencing in the kids area, it becomes
There's a lot about Midland to really, really like: Large parking lot; numerous and spacious, wired tables; wi-fi that just works; fairly large selection of audio books and DVDs; children area with activities and speakers from time-totime;
Honestly, I don't understand why the library can't be a quiet place for people to read or study. I thought that was supposed to be the case for ALL libraries. You have people having full phone conversations right next to you all the time,
Inadequately staffed the function as a library. Adolescent and populated by illiterates. Staff is questionably qualified. Not that they are unqualified, just not reliable that they do their job. I know for me they have repeatedly tried to
I freaking love the library..all those books sitting on the shelf looking smarter than me allow me to be smug to you. So many different ways to advance intelligence, community, communications, and self. Today's libraries contain much more
I was notified of a book on hold. Due to mobility issues, I called Midland to request the book to be mailed to me. The staff member was so kind and helpful. My book that I have been waiting to read is on its way to me! Thanks, Midland!!
Nice place to come with your child and read plus learn something new every time. I love the Russian storytime which includes not just reading but dancing, singing, craft and play time with other bilingual kids. The library has a great
Overall, this library is fairly quiet, really clean, and the librarians and other staff are super helpful and really nice. The clientel outside the front doors, inside the front door, in the restroom, and sleeping in the back of the
If you're seeking a tranquil place to write or even read, bring noise canceling devices, because there's a lot going at this place. I tolerate this library because I can always get a table to spread my stuff onto, and my ear buds.
I found assistance by employees lacking. My books were repeatedly sent to the other side of town when put on hold rather than to the correct branch for pickup. Soiled editions that were brought to their attention regularly.
Great, friendly, helpful staff. Good selection of DVDs and books. The restrooms are always clean. It's nice to have a security guard on duty, it gives you comfort amongst the thieving Tweakers and thieving hobos.
Well lit and warm, but a bit noisy. Ppl come in and sleep in this library - all other Mult Co libraries are opposed to this. I’m helped when I ask but often it seems library employees don’t always
Been here several times. The food was grease and the worst I've ever had. So very disappointed. I've been sending people there all the time. Now I can't do this with a clear mind and heart.
Midland Library will be closed from Sunday, March 1st through Sunday, March 15th, 2020, for upgrades and improvements. The library will reopen at 10 am on Monday, March 16th, 2020.
Nice, large library but sooooo loud. When did we start yelling in libraries? The computers are down the center of the majority of the place so there is no nice quiet corner.
Short waiting time for internet, nice librarians, good wifi service, plenty of parking space and so many other things make this library one of the best places to hang out.
I love this library. They have a great selection of books and DVDs, the staff is very nice and helpful, and it offers a lot of great programs, events, and classes.
Midland library deserves 5 stars but this camping situation here must change. I really feel it's no different than having a homeless camp next to a school. Young
I love being able to park next to the library and borrow the wifi during the pandemic. Their holds pick up service is also lovely for social distancing purposes.
The " free tax help" was not meant for everyone. Just the friends and family of the Group who put it on. How disappointing, waited 2 hours whilell they helped
Always friendly and helpful service. Great selections, recommendations, access to computers and free classes! MultCo has the best libraries. We are fortunate.
I love the staff here at this library. They are always helpful and welcoming. During COVID, they worked hard to make sure books were still readily available.
Went and got me a library card. The process was quick and painless. Everyone masked up. Plexiglass divider in place. Nice, Friendly, and helpful librarian.
This library is great. Staff is friendly. Good hours. Clean and organized. I would like to see them expand on their book selection. Otherwise, great place.
Great place to find what you need. Great people to help you find the book you're looking for. Clean place, one of the good library's out there.
Really nice library, perhaps one of the largest on the East side. Lots of books, DVDs, music, and computers. It's quiet and clean.
My favorite spot in the neighborhood.the librarians are super helpful and there is a great little park behind it to sit in .
Friendly staff, great multicultural story times, great place to do work (quiet, good WiFi, multiple power access points)
Love this Library. Large, of course quiet. Best believe you can locate any information that you may be looking for.
Midland's open design gives a higher degree of safety in this time of Covid. Lots of room to browse the shelves.
Library is really nice lots of tables to do homework but you can't take your eyes off your personal stuff.
Got one on one computer help from Erin..it was great...thanks so much...Lots of other classes and tools...
We love our library. The staff is so welcoming and everything is in great condition always.
Very nice library for the size. Friendly staff. Easy to use computer access.
Loved it! Glad to be able to go inside now that your open. Very Nice …
My son's first time at the library and it was a very wonderful experience.
