The desk worker I had to deal with to get a print done dismissed me to the information booth by laughing and saying "go there because they will believe you". Meanwhile I'm just trying to print three pages and am uninvested in the fact that she is obviously overcompensating for the fact that she could not understand how to operate the printing system. I even explained to her I didn't think it was her fault it wasn't working (it actually was but I was being nice and trying to get out asap) but she continued to be unpleasant and infantilize me over a printer. I normally don't trash places online unless someone really irks me. Totally bizzare and unprofessional. However, the woman at the information booth was very kind and helpful, and seemed shocked that I was treated in such a manner.
Top selection of books and other materials as close as your local library branch. One of the largest circulating libraries in America, you can search and order anything from home to pick up at the library, or use computers up to two hours a day with your library card. Helpful staff, meeting and study rooms.
I went to the Library to apply for a new card... ...I had lost my old one in 2002! LOL I guess the Internet had me covered for the past 21 years! The Librarians who helped me were so nice, and they made my card right then & there! I'm so glad I stopped by today! It's great to be back, hehe!
You have to love the Multnomah County Library! Put things on hold online, pick them up at your neighborhood branch - so easy. The Woodstock library has very good story hours kids of various ages, and they host all kinds of events. But mostly we go there to get new books to read at bedtime!
DO NOT USE THIS LIBRARY they are racist as well as unhelpful to those in need. I was turned way from their programs because of who I was. And I know this because service that WHERE available they have told me it wasn't and I checked. Do not use this library if your of color or immigrant.
Librarians are sweet and helpful good book selection. However terrible place to study there’s always 1-2 screaming randomly I get more studying done in a busy coffee shop near by than I do here lol but still an option just bring noise canceling headphones and sanitizing clothes
It's a pretty good library, clean with nice librarians. It's small and not very well-stocked, from my browsing. It's not in the best area and it can get a little bit noisy. Wouldn't be my first choice library to visit in the county, but it is convenient and reliable.
Was here for a Meetup. Beautiful building and seemed nice on the inside. Meeting room looked like it was a classroom so that's neat. Passing through I saw many books in different languages so looked like a good place to get a book for everyone …
I love our local library, for its sophisticated online system for book holds, inter-library loans, great staff and convenient hours. Thanks for your great public service. Sorry for the awful development about to go up just east of 49th. Steve Keller
It's a nice place, however it's very noisy, crowded, and small. If you need peace n quiet or a big selection of books, this is not the place. Parking is also available but very, and I mean very limited. People often use chairs to put their
The Woodstock Library not only has a warm and accepting community of staff, but also the books have great variety. The librarians and volunteers are all happy to be there and do their jobs. The only reason I give 4 stars is because
I could go here simply to be around the staff who care about what they do and the people that they serve. Completely available to be of service. This is an example of what is possible in a world where people care for each other.
5 stars for the staff alone! Love the little place, glad it's here and the 1st class people working here. Sooo sweet, caring, extremely sensitive and understanding. I could feel it radiating from them. Beautiful humans …
This library offers many great books for children and adults as well. They host great community events as well for all ages. We visit this library frequently and have a great time reading and meeting our fellow neighbors.
Clean and well kept from the looks of it. Got our cards and checked out some good old-fashioned books. Very helpful staff got us hooked up and gave us lots of info about the library. Great place!
I love this little branch. It could be quieter for my tastes, but it has friendly staff and I always find something good to read that I didn't know I was looking for.
Great little library with a good vibe and location. Multnomah county library system allows you to make holds online and pick them up anywhere in the system! Snappin'!
Thanks to Mary for all her amazing assistance! Great little library. Very informative and kind librarians. Got our new cards, some great books, and some new friends.
Smells a little, but has a great and helpful staff. I love the online hold system. I feel like i am book shopping instead of borrowing.
Noisy! I'm in college I want to take a test online and study. You can read, but all you hear people's kids and the librarians. Dang!
Free printing service is useful for visitors. I'm a California resident and I could print out my document without any registration.
While I prefer the Holgate library (now torn down) Woodstock holds it's own with a great and helpful staff.
Portland has good libraries, they're used by young and old and enrich any neighbourhood they're located at
Love that I can place a hold on books, go get them and be out in minutes and the staff is amazing!
always kind and helpful and even mailed my books to me when I had books on hold and got sick!
Don't take your library for granted folks! Glad to have ours here in the neighborhood :)
The lady at the Information desk, was fast, friendly and knowledgeable! Loved my visit!
Smallish community library with lots of children's books. Super helpful librarians.
Great library. If you don't go you should. Libraries are a fountain of goodness.
Although not very big library, wonderful friendly service and very helpful staff
Friendly and assistive staff, limited parking though. Overall, a nice library.
Small location in a fun little neighborhood with great staff and cool events.
The people there are very helpful. Nice little place for kids to read books.
i like the woodstock library. they have very kind people working there.
Excellent neighborhood library nice little area for the little kids
Always a friendly place to visit. The staff is very helpful.
They've added a new handicapped parking space on Woodstock.
Part of the Multnomah County Library system. Enough said.
