If you have what this office deems as the right insurance, you are probably fine, but definitely do not rely on this group's website, or even to an extent verbal confirmation from staff on insurance if you are purchasing a new plan. Based on my experience, I would not trust an office to do dental work, if simple things as mere office organization and communication, as well as professionalism are lacking. I have filed complaints with the state dental board and Better Business Bureau based on my interactions recently experienced. I am not sure what this office is up to, but forcing certain insurance plans, perhaps for kickbacks, or hoping a customer caves and pays out of pocket for all expenses is wrong in my book. There would be not much of an issue here had I not been expressly told the plan I was purchasing was not accepted, but that was not the case. I should take this as a blessing in disguise that before I paid any real amount of money to this dentist, that this was discovered early & not later. If their advertising and offices practices are shady and untruthful, who knows if what the dentist was diagnosing my issue as being were in fact honest as well!

I came to the office for wisdom tooth extraction consultation with a doctor. Before I could see the doctor, I was forced to do a full set of X-rays and Cleaning. When doctor came took one look at my teeth and said he is not experienced with oral surgery and referred me to another doctor. Why was I forced to do the full set of x-rays and cleaning? So that maxed out my insurance right away and I was not informed about that. The girl who did my cleaning was very rough and very same day, my filling came off after the cleaning. When I came for the filling, I was again not informed that my insurance was maxed out. After getting a filling, i was left with over 500$ out of pocket expense. The office does not want to go and meet me half way, even though I feel it was there fault for not informing me. The worth part is that I had a new insurance that was starting just in 15 days and would cover all this work for me. So before you go see them, make sure you ask them for the out of pocket expenses. They are out of network with MetLife and can charge whatever price they want for their services.

I am 74 years old and have seen many dentists in my lifetime. I just started with Dr. Katayev and was impressed at first meeting because he took time to listen and seemed to know exactly what I needed and wanted. I think he is one of the best dentists I have ever come across. He works fast but does not give me the feeling that he is rushing through his work. The office has a very clean restroom and modern dental equipment. All the work I've had so far took place right in the chair, X-rays and all. My dentures and teeth have NEVER fit together as well as they do now. For the first time in years I can eat on both sides of my mouth. I will give an updated review when my work is completed but so far, I could not be more satisfied and I would recommend Dr. Katayev at the drop of a hat to anyone.

I was referred to Murray Hill Dental through a co-worker of mine. I came in with chipped front teeth. I suffer from dentophobia. The friendly staff gave me a relaxed environment. They allowed me to use my headphones & even had a tv available. They educated me on dental hygiene & reminded me of appnts via text mess & phone calls. The best part was when my teeth were done. You would have never known they were ever chipped. They also did my root canal, cavities & gave me a great pay plan. Dr. M. Katayev Is my dentist.. If you have any skepticism, I encourage you to ask to see Jeanette Walton's before & after. You won't be disappointed.

It was my first time coming to this office, and truthfully from beginning to end the process was easy, professional, and courteous. From making my appointment, (which they were kind enough to try and accommodate with a time of my choosing) to the day of my visit. The office is clean and well maintained, the staff is knowledgeable, kind, professional and REALLY know their stuff! The doctor is fabulous! He's patient, kind, takes his time explaining everything and answered all my questions. I left the office content and satisfied and with all my needed follow up appointments too! All in all...a tremendous experience!

Be aware of a possible SCAM. Been told that most of my fillings (8 or 9) have to be replaced as soon as possible with a treatment plan for $10k in addition to nightguard/invisible aligners. I sought out a secondary opinion from the other dentist in NYC, and was told that no filling needs any treatment, implying this office might misguide customers to do services not medically (or even aesthetically) needed. I am seeking out appropriate action from the office based on this encounter (my FIRST visit). Highly discouraging anyone visiting this office, telling customer "You have to do this NOW or do that NOW".

My permanent retainer detached from a tooth so I called about 8 different dental practices around the neighborhood. Murray Hill Dental explained over the phone that it would be $100-150 to reattach the retainer. It was slightly cheaper than other practices in the area. I went and they reattached the retainer onto one tooth. Suddenly after the procedure was finished the price changed to 600 dollars when I was a the front desk. This type of bait and switch charging is really not ok as I would've never chose here if the correct price was given over the phone. Very disappointed.

This is the best dentist I ever been at. I usually get my dental cleaning from a hygienist, which they are also very good, but today I've got my dental cleaning from Dr.Katayev. He is very good, detail oriented and very knowledgeable. When I walked out my teeths are super clean and white. Also I had sensitivity on my upper teeth before, with some kind laser technology he correct the sensitive teeth I was amazed. Prices are perfect, affordable.. Also people are very nice, professional . This is a very good dentistry I highly recommend.

Excellent service every single time I visit. Love their hot towel after teeth cleaning and I loveeee when the male tech cleans my teeth (forgot his name). He takes his time and does an excellent job. Every staff member knows their role and performs well. Everyone seems to be happy to be at work which reflects in the care and attention given to patients. Dr. Katayev is very attentive and actually cares about your teeth and not just making the most money off of you. I recommend their services to my friends and family.

Not a fan of Dentists but this time my visit at Murray hill changed my opinion. Office is super clean/ modern, receptionists are friendly/ professional, and the technology seems very advanced. I had two visits to the Murray hill office to take care of 2 cavities and fillings. I waited maybe two minutes total to be seen by the dentist. Dentist Michael Katayev listened to my concerns, communicated well and was quick/ efficient with the procedure. Overall, great experience and definitely recommend this office

Great great service! And expertise. The doctor is excellent in explaining what needs to be done and why. I had been treated there a few years back when I moved in the office the neighborhood. When I got a new insurance provider I went to another dentist because they "were in network". It was a mistake. I recently had some more work done and finally came back. I didn't care whether they were in or out of network. I wanted better care and confidence that it would be done right. I'm thankful I returned.

My first visit and pleasantly surprised by the evening availability. I never had a sonogram or photographs taken of my teeth, so it was very interesting to get an up close look between my teeth. The doctor was very warm and welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable. Painless and left with a beautifully cleaned smile and knowledge on dental care. Looking forward to my 6-month cleaning.

Best dentist I've been to in a long while. Been going for about a year now and it's always great. Today's visit was for some laser surgery on my gums (wasn't very fond of taking care of my teeth the last 15 years or so) and it went smooth. No pain and doctor is pretty cool. The pain after is the worst though! Take care of your teeth people!
