A friend and I took my stepson and our nephews to a free event of theirs called Soldiers Through Time. It was a free event in which people were dressed as soldiers from various wars. It was a very neat experience in which the boys got to see and touch different parts of military history. The actors were all super nice and knowledgeable. It didn't take a long time to see everything but it was still a good experience, especially considering it was free.

This was a wonderful place to visit. Full of excellent dioramas that were masterfully put together and painted by a legend who is no loner with. The staff was informative and very friendly. Come here for a taste of history and leave with a new appreciation for the dioramas that you see in these museums.

A small building packed with memorabilia from wars from the turn of the century, mostly focussing on WW2. Great collection of all kinds of historical objects and documents, as well as models and dioramas. The only con is a lack of signs of explanation for those with less knowledge on this subject.

A small but robust museum curated by informed people. Well worth the visit. I've been twice. Uniforms, boots, pictures, ammo, books, a mock up of a trench. There's a chapel and a display of chaplaincy's vital role. Self guided. It's not the electronic museum of big cities. But it's a good look at where we've been as a country in our wars with plenty of emphasis on the people, men and women alike, who served.

Very well assembles museum. Free with admission. The best part is meeting all the veterans who work there or visit. When we were there, there were at least 3 vets telling stories that provided a unique perspective on the exhibits.

This small museum has a lot to offer. There was no one there but me. I think veterans and their families would enjoy it.

This is a smaller museum. Won't take real long to see it all. But it has lots of stuff to see. It is really an amazing Museum for the size. There are 2 buildings that have things. Truly an amazing place.

This museum was very small, but the staff were nice and they had some very interesting items, including numerous models of tanks and war ships. They had a large USS Indianapolis (CA-35) model as well.

  • Joanna Fruchtnicht

Neat and nice for a free museum. But it is free and therefore not that great. But it is a nice stop if you're in the state park and want a break from the weather.

  • Stephen Francia

Super cool little military museum...the docents are awesome, and they have living history events on some weekends. You'll need about an hour. Go check them out!

A totally awesome place, for sure. 100% free, just the fee to get in the park. (Like 7 bucks a vehicle) This museum also frequently hosts reenactments.

  • Jeremy Gohier

Nice collection of items from across the 20th century, just like the name says. Always like to learn something every day. Mission accomplished today.

This is a small museum but if you are nearby you will learn a lot about the military history of Indiana. Everything can be seen in an hour.

  • Mark Young

It's small, but the exhibits are really close to you. They have some really cool pieces. All they ask is to not touch. Free to get in.
