We were looking for a Thai restaurant in Manchester after our visit to the Christmas market. After checking on Google maps, we decided to head to My Thai, couldn't have done a better pick for non locals. From start to finish it has been a delightful meal. Nicely greeted as we entered without prior booking , a table for 2 was available for us. The menu is real Thai, clear and easy to understand with a selection to satisfy all tastes. The decorations of the restaurant is excellent and makes you travel to an exotic place, service is impeccable, friendly,. providing clear explanation about the different dishes and extremely polite. Definitely worth another visit next time we are in the area.

Food was awful no really it was terrible Jasmine rice tasteless sticky bland gunk The Chicken Chow main. with 5 pieces of the place unadulterated tasteless pieces of white chunks. It could have been anything they served in amongst plasticity noodles. For starters fish cakes mushy paste of cakes flat as pancakes with that cheap spicy sauce you buy in Poundland. I paid £16.50 and I left it. The only thing I enjoyed was the cold refreshing coke It a shame to as this restaurant was my place to go. They menu was all changed and not for the better. I wanted a this green curry but alas not available. If it's not broken don't fix it The atmosphere was awful too a party of 7 were loud and obnoxious. Then a party of 3 say right behind me even worse than the 7 others This young guy had that fake loud laugh obviously to impress his boss I presumed So I left feeling robbed and still hungry I will never go back that's for sure

Visited this restaurant today when their blackboard with offers caught my attention while hunting for lunch. They have some lunch offers out of which I chose the 2 course meal for £13.5 per person. It included any 1 starter and 1 main course from the menu, although you need to pay extra if you choose seafood in the mains, and one soft drink. I was happy to see more women working in the kitchen as well as service. Having stayed in Thailand for a month, I would rate the food 3/5. I chose to order Pork Dumplings in which i got only 3 pieces and Chicken Pad Thai which was average in taste, I have had better pad thai in other restaurants in the UK. The service is great and the staff are very attentive, fast and polite. Can work on quantity.

Absolutely the best restaurant to indulge in the finest Thai food. We had a lovely experience here, where we were made to feel very welcome in a really well presented and relaxed environment. The food is beautifully served and cooked in an authentic way. Absolutely mouth watering. It was that delicious I ordered extra dishes and I could have happily stayed all day. Thank you My Thai for a wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back.

They served me meat when I explicitly ordered vegetarian!! I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody who has dietary restrictions or are allergic to stuff. I ordered Tofu Pad Kee Mao. While eating, I noticed there was a pork piece in my dish. I called the waitress and she confirmed. However, what amazed me was their reaction to the whole thing. They did not apologize, just casually told me they won't charge me for this dish as if they're doing me a favor lol. They offered to cook it again but no way I was going to trust their kitchen again!!! There are many Thai restaurants around, you can easily skip this one.

I enjoyed the vibe, authenticity and simplicity of this place, staff were really nice too, but food was mostly a disappointment. Let’s start with positives - Tom Yum, great starter portion, sour and spicy with great veg selection. Unfortunately the rest wasn’t as good. Corn cakes were over fried almost burnt, pad thai very one dimensional and sweet. The last dish which I don’t remember the name, meant to be this spicy and fragrant. It was hot, which I always appreciate but apart from that it tasted bland. I always try to give places second chance but this time I will pass. Food was poor beyond the redemption and Manchester has so much more Thai restaurants for me to explore.

We have been here many times, most recently six months ago where we had great food but long wait times and slow service. We revisited with great expectations, and whilst met with better prompt service, and much quicker wait times for food (ten minutes max) we were left disappointed by our meals, almost microwave-meal level in taste and presentation, incredibly disappointing for a place we once loved. Food gave a bitter aftertaste of high msg levels and post-Mcdonald’s feeling. We visited not far from kitchen closing time (around 9pm) but it should be no excuse, we won’t revisit this site

A quiet nice place to sit for food. It's not one of the best Thai I have tried but not the worst. Just an average, fast served restaurant with a lot of different options to have. We tried the massaman curry and the yellow curry both with tofu. The massaman was a little bit more salted and the tofu a little bit over cooked and not really tender or silky, but the yellow curry was much better and a great balance of spiciness.

Worst Thai restaurant in Manchester. Don’t go unless you are rich to waste money. Food nothing like Thai, it’s absolutely not Thai food. Just mix up some food to cook in Asian style. And it is too sweet for the soup noodle. Disgusting taste. Service is bad, the waitress looks like a Thai take the bill and credit card machine without asking to check the bill, very impolite. Urge me to settle that when there are still other customers. Never go again and don’t recommend any one going. There are other better Thai restaurants in Manchester why need to try this.

Considering how good the location is, and how cheap this place is, this is a must.the food was tasty and arrived withing minutes. The staff was very kind and welcomed me without having a reservation. Nice environment. Recommended Edit: I am reading other bad reviews and I think people are not fair at all. Prices here are absolutely low. If you expect magnificent Thai cuisine, go to an expensive restaurant. This place is great for what they charge you. I had a very lovely meal

Popped in for lunch, pretty busy but we haven’t wait for long. The decor is very Asian look. We had Pad Thai, Tom yum soup noodles, prawn cracker and iced Thai milk tea. The food was under expectations, the iced Thai milk tea was okay. The service is better than the food to be honest. The staff tried to look after us and make sure we are okay with the food. The price is very reasonable for the location and the food we had. I personally won’t go back again as there are so many very similar restaurants like this on the market.

After receiving some really bad service at another restaurant down the road, My Thai was our second option and we were so happy we ended up here. Service was amazing, food was top notch. It comes highly recommended for me. I had the Duck Noodle soup and due to my eyes being bigger than my belly, I ended up leaving quite alot of it and it's says something when they are concerned that I didn't like the food. Prices are perfectly reasonable too. Next time I'm in manchester, I will gladly go here again.

Honestly, I wasn't ever a fan of Thai food until the very moment I had visited this place! (It does sound biased, but I can promise you it's not)!!! I truly tell you now, this is a Manchester hidden gem, as they had a visual upgrade of the interior, too!!!! It's my second time here, and honestly, great price, like feed a family for just under 60 quid, with quite large portions too. But in all honesty, YES!!! You've got to try this!!!!

I was excited to go to a Thai restaurant for the first time and this did not disappoint. The food was reasonably priced and tasted amazing- the massaman curry in particular which I had as my main was delicious. The staff were so friendly and service was incredibly fast for a Friday evening in town. I would definitely go again!

No no no. I ordered delivery. It arrived in 15 minutes. That is a red flag. For the food to arrive within FIFTEEN MINUTES says to me everything was already pre-cooked, pre-packaged, and reheated when my order was placed. This explains the following: 1. SOGGY pad Thai that was literal MUSH, and the 2. Cold and greasy spring rolls that were inedible. Finally, the yellow curry: 1. The chicken tasted and looked like the pre-cooked/sliced kind you get from your local grocer. 2. The potatoes are ROASTIES!! Unacceptable. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

So wonderful combination of reasonable prices and delicious food. Having a dinner with my family we enjoyed authentic atmosphere and food which was good for both kids and adults. By the way it is a dog friendly restaurant, they brought some water for our small dog as soon as we sat down.

Not sure why this place has been given high rating? It's very run down, not looked after well. Dirty. Food wise, pad see Ew was too sweet, somtam tasted weird, duck tamarind looked like was from frozen precut meat, Tom yum was way too sweet. None of thees tasted authentic which is very surprising given Thai people were in the kitchen. And the only thing that decent was the spring roll which I think just fried from premade frozen. Please do yourself a favour and find a other Thai place in Manchester

I had an amazing dining experience at My Thai restaurant today. The Thai cuisine was incredibly delicious, and the service was outstanding. Went there for a Sunday lunch buffet. A very decent price and equally decent flavour in the food. A limited number of starters and mains to choose from, but definitely enough food for all. Four different kind of Thai curries, chicken wings, tofu, spring rolls, satay chicken, papaya salad, soupy noodles, pork belly amongst 3-5 more things I can't remember. No dessert though. There was some orange slices as a side. They have a variety of drinks available as well. We just focussed on the food.

Service staff - 5 stars! Food - 3 stars Love the warmth by the service team. Food wise needs a little bit attention though! Ordered fried rice on the side with my salad but got served prolly “dried rice” instead. Huge lumps of rice almost dried up , and I watched the server take it out from the microwave? Rice is nowhere near what a “fried rice” should be. Basically jus huge lumps of rice with some shreds of fried egg on top. On a sidenote, Great effort on the deco of the restaurant! (;

  • Sam Waterhouse

Went in for lunch with my partner. A main dish was £7.50 and there was a large amount of food on the plate so was very decent value for lunch in central Manchester! We had a chicken and tofu pad thai which was extremely delicious and really can't fault anything about it. Both came with a wedge of lime and peanuts. Service was quick and you can see into the kitchen as they cook which is always a good sign.

Excellent Thai food, genuinely some of the best I've had, great service and at a very reasonable price considering the quality of the food you get, I recommend the seafood or king prawn variant of the dishes over the deep fried tofu but that is personal preference as the tofu was a little too fatty.

Run by authentic, lovely Thai friends - the green curry was amazing, I loved it for how mildly spicy and sweet it was. Crispy chicken came drizzled in the all fave Thai sweet chilli sauce. Tom yum soup could be a tad bit spicier but tasted good nonetheless. Portions are super decent for the price of a main. Lacking a star only because there's no dessert menu, except I think only on Sundays(?) Will need to satisfy my mango sticky rice craving somehow!

Happened to come here on a Sunday, and they had a £8.95 buffet going on. There are delicious starters like chicken wings and spring rolls. All of their food looks humble but is surprisingly delicious! Really worth it. The staff is very efficient and friendly as well. The only drawback is that the place felt too warm. But will definitely be back again!

The food is good and for a city centre restaurant the prices are competitive. The service staff are also great and clearly work very hard. The decor is ok and fits the vibe but dont expect to get a high end dining exeprience and you'll avoid disappointment, besides the prices are good anyway.

The place was really cozy for a meal. Hearty decoration and adorable designs. Both of my friend and I think that the meals with rice were too dry, the tomyam noodle soup was not really authentic as it was tasted more like tomato soup. The Thai ice tea was abit too sweet and not thick enough. However the money was good for a meal.

Tomyum doesn’t taste like tomyum. The broth is more sour and sweet rather than sour and spicy. The female staff (probably the owner) is very very rude. And they really rushed people to eat fast even tho there’s not that much people in the restaurant. The price doesn’t worth the taste and portions. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Upon my last visit I was subjected to very poor service. Whilst I was greeted by the staff on entry, the waitress prompted to serve two other customers despite me arriving more than 5 mins before them.  This is especially disappointing as I've had great past encounters at My Thai.

Uber eats, very small portions for price, although the som tum had decent flavor, it wasn’t spicy (6/10), and the tomatoes were whole so you can tell they didn’t “tum” it. I won’t be ordering from here again

  • Ronald

Not tasty or authentic. Would recommend trying the sweet and crispy chicken fried rice but definitely not the noodle soups. Feels like this place is not looked after well and definitely not worth the hype.

Food and service are good however they could include some desserts and coffee to their menu

A lady staff is kind of rude. Kao Soi taste is far from original one which the restaruant claimed for authentic thai foods (no onions, soups with no smell and kao soi taste)
