"My Papaw, Great Grandfather, said this to me,”Son, you can’t go on in life expecting others to do it for you"
"My car was stolen and I have never felt more neglected in my life… they didn’t come out to the scene they told me they would call me it took nearly 5 hrs for me to get a call to file a report and I haven’t heard anything since and it’s going on 32 hrs and whenever I call to get an update on if they are looking for my vehicle they talk to me as if I’m bothering them and tell me they will call me but never do… though a stolen car may seem trivial to some it’s serious to me bc I do not have full coverage insurance bc my car was paid for so I’m just without a car if they don’t work diligently to find it and I’m also 9 months pregnant I rely on my car for my lively hood"
"My son has been kidnapped"
"My best friend, her 3year old son, and I just left the 5th district police station off north Robertson"
"I got T-bone at a red light on N Robertson and Poland at around 9:30 pm I sat in a very dangerous and high crime area with my 1 yo old and 9 year yo I sat there for 4 hours and still no police showed they lady gave me all of her information I tried to get a police report the next day fifth district told me it’s a civil matter now that we exchanged information this is by far the worse place to have anything happen orleans parish have to do better it’s sad that they are scared of their ppl! Under staffed and not doing their JOBS !"
My Papaw, Great Grandfather, said this to me,”Son, you can’t go on in life expecting others to do it for you. Every mechanic, teacher, ditch digger, electritions or anyone with a good reputation have choices. When it comes to Blue Blood, that’s a different ball game. Police officers go in every single day with the knowledge, this may be my last. NOPD has done above and beyond what the community. Everyone wants to point a finger. Police are easy targets, everyone expects them to say how high when certain people say jump.” It’s time to RESPECT THE MEN AND WOMEN THAT SERVE THIS COMMUNITY! Next time, try to understand each case is special. They will help! My Mother and Father are retired Police Offers. When you slap NOPD, you slap me and my family. Think about your thoughts and words before you blast a Department that you have no clue about. God Bless All! I apologize for the rant. But it’s about time someone said it!

Shame on them. I will never put my faith in the NOPD ever again. It’s down right hurtful.
My son has been kidnapped. The New Orleans police department won’t help me. They answer and tell me “we’ll update the ticket”. Each time I call (I’ve called 15 times) they just act as if I’m bothering them. My son is only 6 . He’s very shy and he has a small delay. I can’t get the NOPD to take this seriously. The area he’s in is very dangerous. His father kidnapped him and is still refusing to hand him over. The police department dispatchers keep saying with annoyance in their voice the same thing each call. It’s been a little over 3 hours and they still have yet to contact me. They don’t care they just want me to stop calling .
My best friend, her 3year old son, and I just left the 5th district police station off north Robertson. We were denied a police escort to stand by us while we load her things into a van. She is leaving her home and ABSUSIVE Boyfriend. We asked for protection and were DENIED by officer ALCORN badge #679 and sergeant FRANKLIN badge #183. POLICE OFFICERS ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY. Now a 3 year old will have to watch his mother be beaten down in the street again while her abuser throws all of their belongings out on the street. THANKS FOR NOTHING 5th DISTRICT POLICE STATION.

I called 911 to report an intruder in my yard. I explained to the police dispatcher; " There was an caucasian man hiding in between the cars". The police dispatcher took my name and insured me an officer was on his way. I waited for over three hours for a police officer, and no one ever showed up. In addition, I have home survillence showing this man on camera.
Tried to report a theft last night. Police officer was rude, disrespectful, and antagonistic. I'll be filling a complaint with the police department. He was a literal jackass to me.
